    PWE must adjust the amount of Zen we Europeans get with our Euros, so that it equals too the amount we got before this change happened b:bye

    OMG...im not playing the game atm due to the mrs giving birth to twins b:victory AND now ive seen this thread while checking up on the game i enjoy i will not be coming back!!

    The Mrs was never to happy with the fact i charged zen but with been financially stable it was never a real problem BUT theres no way im paying an additional 20-25% for zen, hell would have to freeze over and the average american would have to make their way out of the idiot club before i even thought about it......hmmm, hell may freeze but the later? no chance

    Pfft when i was visiting romania and played PWI this past summer, they told me i can only use euros, clearly i didnt want to spend more and try USD, but they said "no, you must exchange your currency into euros and charge zen with that b:chuckle PWI if I were you i'd start looking for jobs now kidsb:thanks

    b:beatup Silly Euro tards thinking that PWE/PWi will go down the drain just b/c 20% of it's ignorant customers will stop charging Zen.

    You do realise that they probably make a 500% profit after paying all their employees, server, power and internet fees right? b:kiss Good luck thinkin' you'll make a difference, but you won't.

    PWE dont really make a profit at all .. think of the games licences they bought this year .. for each game they maybe need 10 or more servers .. some games are cheaper in investment and others cost a damn lot ... furthermore they need special rooms for the servers, switches, routers (i guess cisco products), tons of ethernet and fiber cables, highly security for the rooms, a damn good cooling system, electricity and more .. that all must be paid somehow

    trust me .. the money they get from zenchargers are for the stuff ive listed above and yes also for the devs, marketing groups or network administrators they have

    i bet the only profit comes from partners and maybe just a little bit from the zenchargers

    Why can't they give "you Europeans" 20% more Zen for charging? Because you're no more special then an American, German, Australian etc.

    Really, they don't make a profit? Okay let's do some basic logical maths here;
    It costs roughly $1000 per month to fund a server (Internet, power & maintenance), PWI (Yes the game, not the company PWE) has 9 servers.
    Let's say there's roughly 1000 people on each server at any given time. Now we're going to assume that 30% play entirely for free, 30% charge $20 a month, 30% charge $100 & the remaining 10% charge over $250.

    You do the maths and then tell me they don't make a profit.

    it cost more than $200.000 to build up one .. yes 1 server with the specific hardware like HDD, Switches, and the network- or internetconnection .. thats not only 1 little cable .. thats maybe 24 ethernet cables for the high speed... dont got enough? just think of backups .. and i guess they dont use just a normal backup .. i bet they also use a RAID 5 .. oh u dont know whats a RAID 5 or RAID 1 or a RAID 0? b:laugh

    if u want to learn more then make an aprentice as an IT-Specialist in Systemintegration like me b:victory .. and $1000 seems a bit low because u forgot the cooling, the security and the upgrades

    I never said a single thing about the costs of BUILDING a server, which I am quite aware of. Maintenance on the other hand, does not cost much, updates are not as expensive as you make them out to be. If the software/hardware is stable, costs will obviously be low and PWi servers seem pretty stable to me, considering there hasn't been a hard crash ever as far as I can recall (I joined May 2008).

    Learn your facts, don't be biased to prove someone wrong with fantasy figures because you think that PWE is ripping you off.

    <- Was about to charge 30 gold, to split between 50 packs on PWI and a load of stars of hope on FW... Then realized you wanna make me pay 20% more since I live in the UK and DONT use the Euro... Oh well. What will I do with my 20 pounds now..... hmmmmm Save it for SWTOR!!! I bet they have plenty to give me when the game comes out, heck I can even buy 2 months subscription for that, since they aren't charging me extra for NOT useing the Euro! b:chuckle b:pleased

    My partner and I were about to charge zen when we made the Euro only discovery, upon reading the thread will keep my response short.

    I've always been bothered by Europe trying to incorporate the UK into their failed mess of a union, so far we have maintained our individuality in hopefully all aspects including currency.

    So regardless of all the greed and profit arguments, we will not charge Zen on the principle that the Euro is not our currency, GBP please thanks bye.

    FYI PWE doesnt give 2 sh!ts about its players anymore ........................REGUARDLESS of WHERE your from.
    I believe that i read that PW "tried " to continue to pay this "fee" but wasnt allowed to anymore. If they were willing to continue to pay it then whats the issue with adjusting the damn Zen exchange rate to solve the problem?

    We WERE getting...1000Zen for 10USD
    We would currently get 1000Zen for 9Euro = approx 826Zen for 10USD

    It's not about getting more...it's about getting (approximately) the same!

    That is fine and all, but when do you guys cut down the price in Euro so we don't get scammed horrible compared to the US people we would still pay like more than what they do per 1 gold that is, really gotta look into the currency differencies.. before someone decides to rise a case against you guys, easy to get more money out of people that is not aware of currency diffencies... and simply stuff like this can not be tolerated, its a business scam.

    if I buy 200 gold it is like paying ~1050DKK = 200 dollars in previous system.
    If I buy 200 gold now it is like paying ~1200DKK = around 240dollars.

    Hence you guys charge more now than before and Euros get hit by it as it is even though our currency is in a better standing that the US.

    Im with PWI for such a long time ...
    I've always invested money when I've seen nice sales but thats OVER!

    I have no problem spending money but I have a freaking problem when ppl try to fool me.

    And what PWE does to its european players is nothing but a bad joke!

    Im not going to spend anything anymore until you guys lower the cost.

    I am not going to pay more than someone from the US, I am not going to charge until the cost is lowerd at least 20% to match the price I've payed before.
