Hey all,

We've got regularly scheduled Server Maintenance tonight from:
11pm PST until 1am PST




And for the usual maintenance conversation starter..


So how's the Seeker as a main tank? How about the Mystic as a main healer? Discuss.

    Patch Notes Version 493
    Released March 16, 2011


    User Interface
    Fixed Genie skill buttons so that you can once again click anywhere on them to activate the skill.

    Cleaned up some of the pet interfaces.

    Cleaned up some of the Faction base interfaces.

    Cleaned up some elements of the Genie skill trees.

    Fixed equipment refining prompts to correctly reference refining instead of imbuing.

    Server list interface should now correctly show population instead of Speed.


    Misc
    Badge of the Cube should now state that it is unable to be refined.

    Removed more remnant Chinese text.

    We have renamed some types of faction contribution to Construction Points in order to help prevent confusion.

    And last but not least... we'll just call him Squiggles.

    both pretty squishy. if not squishy than too low a dmg to keep aggro.

    how about updating the sticky since your definition of a 'resolved issue' = still out of order.

    Or you can just, you know... fix something? But hey this is PWE, what do I expect.

    i question a seeker's ability to hold aggro in pve, but they're surely invincible with the defense levels they can get..

    mystics as a main healer? never. mystics as the most diabolic tw class in the game? definitely.

    Not sure about seeker. Haven't made one yet so. o.o

    As for mystics, I think Salvation may prove key for a mystic main healer. Shielding people while healing is pretty nice. o.o

    PLZ LET US GET SEEKER 79 SKILLS THEY NAGGIN ME QQ. as for seeker being a tank...hmm i could see them able to tank on terms of masses cause matmatically they do more dmg over time with their zhen skill then both archer and wizzie+stack it with BP and their +30 def lvl buff.....yea ur talking about a twister of doom. aside from that seeker trying to tanking a single target....yea wont happen just dont have the aps or spike dmg to do it. jsut depends on the situation. havent tried mystic personally but my ingame wife is one and from wat i can see they are awesome....i still want IH though

    As for seeker as a tank, Fuzzy hasn't really tried to tank much with it, so no idea. The panda needs to level a bit more and start transferring over the actual refined and sharded TT gears to get em some HP 1st.

    As for mystics, the only thing Fuzzy knows is that the revive skill is pretty amazing. b:dirty

    To Frankie or any GM, I'd like to ask two things we all really want to know:
    1. any news about when we'll get 79/100/sage/demon skills for Earthguards ?
    2. and also, please give us some news about the Jone's Blessing fix cause lately everyone is getting mad at that on the blessing's sticky and we really want indications about the fixing process.

    Hope this will somehow get an answer, thanks.

    Seeker tanks about as well as a non-APS BM - they can absorb the damage fairly well, but can only hold aggro if the DDs let them.

    sekeers = nice def, bad dmg
    they can tank, but cant hold agro so....

    mystics = pretty good heals at low lvl and for single targets with shield, but not so good for group heals as cleric

    that partially becuase my seeker was doing more damage at lvl 30 with the jone's than he is doing at lvl 42 without it. rather annoying when u gain 12 lvls and your damage goes down.

    and it not going down becuase im getting better def or getting more hp its going down becuase PWI while able to fix a cash shop issue within 10 min cant fix any other issues given 2 years.

    that's what we all mad about
    Killing level 80's with a lvl 60 is a lot more fun than killing level 90's with a level 100.

    Seeker as tank....Fails :/
    I let a lvl 85 seeker DD to his hearts content before jumping in with my actual DD and within a few seconds of me attacking the boss I had it on me :/
    Oh, yeah before I forget the mob's hp was close to 1/2 before I actually started to use my fists (was punching bare-handed).


    Don't know about mystics, never had one in group and have no intention of playing one.
    Nothing worthwhile to mention here, enjoy the animated signature~

    Mystic as tank -->

    So far my 80 (now 82) has been able to tank all of her culti-bosses.

    Hell, me and mah wifey (<3) tanked Sty in fb79 when we were 80 and 81...our summons even died and we still did it. b:cute

    Mystic's are OP...Really though it is all in knowing how to play them. A TRUE mix of knowing how to play a Cleric and a Veno.

    HH/TT is another story but for now I have had no issue with tanking things on my baby. b:victory

    +2 for this post, and I want to further expand on this.

    3.) When are the inconsistencies in seeker group/self buffs be fixed? The only buff that seems to be doing what it is supposed to is Adrenal Numbness and the sword buffs. The attack buffs I can honestly do not seem to adding to our atk lvls as described.

    Seekers seem to have low damage, and can tank pretty well.

    I was duoing an FF with a seeker in the heads room and we can lure the whole room (he was 92 when he started doing it) with no problems at all while I heal on my mystic. Seeker will need bloodpaint for that though I'm sure.

    Mystic's are nice for backup healing I would say, and normal healing on easy stuff. A good mystic will know how to properly heal debuff bosses and such for p/mdef. However, not having a quality aoe heal (the one we have is not so good) and no purify skill hurts.

    Our plants and healing/vital herb skills are very squishy to aoe damage on any boss and cannot be healed (should be able to heal them).

    Mystic sage chi skill is glitched and does not show an animation, and looks only like a spark pot without the channeling animation. I want my sage spark tyvm.

    seeker, not my style.
    mystic rocks but 2 problems.
    1:cant stow pet but can let it die as a way of pullin mobs.
    2:its a MANA HOG! first spell to get to 10 and it costs double the mana than the veno counterpart spell.
    But it casts spells faster and dont really need a medic genie like my veno has.
    im a soloist now and wont start over cause it was a pain in the butt gettin this far.
    but if i had to start over, i would be a mystic rather than a veno. levelin 4 pets from low levels and keepin them full is tasking.
    sorry venos but mystcs are easier to keep just a mana hog.
    now if only i can get that makeover scroll from DQ, when it is fixed, i can get a face lift and a boob job.b:chuckle
    please fix it asap.

    I've been main healer many times thus far without issue.

    However, like the poster above me said, no purify and weaker aoe heal are problematic at times.b:surrender

    mm sorry but Im hardly "squishy". You just play with crappy geared seekers(well this is to be expected of players on sanctuary anyway). I duo with my spouse, whose a mystic and I tank everything and hardly die. I can pull several mobs at a time all on one pot.

    It is simply this:

    Have 2* or better armor
    HP shards
    Up to date Adrenal Numbness.

    And it's easy to get aggro XD but OF COURSE you aren't going to have it long past 80 anyway.

    It also helps that my soulmate knows what she's doing as a mystic as well.
