    ON TOPIC: Maybe Frankie could have a long talk about how the newbies need to moderate, and think about the choices he's made, and how he can rectify them

    I meant the respect of other people, not being respectful myself xD I can be quite respectful when I'm not being pushed around :P

    Anyway... I'd like to thank everyone for their responses on this thread, a lot of view points were expressed and while there was some trolling I still think the thread went smoothly for the most part.

    Read up to about page 10, one thing is pretty obvious:

    There is a lot of ****-kissing going on in this thread.

    A lot of people don't seem to grasp the fact that this happened not because everyone wanted to rage and riot, certainly there are quite a few both for and against this that are only here to troll, but the fact is:

    Calm, respectable and peaceful discussions of this sort have failed... over and over, for nearly 2 years of 'let it fester in a thread, lock it and then lower depth'd and ignored'.

    I do not approve of much of what has gone on here, nor am I trying to defend it. I will justify why I also see it as a last resort even though I don't condone the worst offenses... Many of these long time-posters, many of whom have been very helpful have finally felt that nothing else has mattered, why should this?

    Apparently it's been overdue here.

    Revolutions rarely benefit those who fight them... Washington and Adams fought against the idea of a standing army and for good reason. It would be very difficult for you to find a people in the world that does not admire the American Revolution and its leaders. As to what it acomplished however... Vargas, Franco, Stroessner, Pinochet, Videla, Trujillo. Just to name a handful of the many murderers and rapists the US government used to opress my people. Revolutions always lead to greater suffering, Castro was once an honest revolutionary fighting for freedom. My point is rebellions always come at a price, and i wonder if Jefferson would have agreed with the legacy he left mankind. And please don't mistake my point as being anti-American, i'll be the first to point out that in men such as reverend Martin Luther King jr or Dr. Norman Burlaug the American people have made great contributions to humanity.

    Michael i don't mean to troll you, but ends never justify means. This little rebellion acomplished nothing and it already has brought many harmful consequences to our comunity. For one the current mood will make it even harder for us to get our legitimate grievances across to corporate. And it has likely made our new mods hostile on top of inadequate and unexperienced. Change is acomplished by those willing to work to make it happen, not by those who indulge in romantic adventure. This holds true whether we discuss something as important as the welfare of mankind, or as trivial as the forums of an MMO.

    This whole chaos-on-the-forums-thing going on reminds me of the French Revolution. If you don't know history, let me enlighten you.

    After the the absolute monarch Louis XVI (Frankie) that ruled France (forums) for centuries (2 years) collapsed on the guillotine (gets fired? or resigns), the French (PWI) society underwent an epic transformation. Old ideas were thrown out the door and new principles like inalienable rights (forum rules, or in this case, clearer forums rules that are actually enforced) were introduced. After that, France had to go through several different rulers before they got it right.

    I think that porno thread was the "Reign of Terror" part, lmfao. 'Cause that was seriously a horrific sight.

    If there's anything that history's taught me, it's that it likes to repeat itself, so I will be lurking around to see what happens. b:bye

    I disagree. For one, the stickies that helped perpetrate a general overall negative attitude here have been unstickied. Those threads give the 'bugs never get fixed' rage/troll crowd more to feed on. They should either be in the Suggestions forum or they should be listed in an 'important threads to read' compilation, but not stickied themselves. Threads about issues like that and are generally negative or unpoplular don't deserve and shouldn't be stickied in a 'general discussion' forum.

    As for your assumption that it has only brought harmful consequences, that's opinon and not the truth. In all actuality, it hardly matters... the game has been suffering from declining populations for quite some time, and with FW and other games on the horizon, what happens here won't really matter unless the management beyond the GMs has actually taken notice and does try to change a bit.

    You say that there have been negative repercussions... To many of us, nothing positive has come about in the last two years from being patient, respectful and orderly except to be ignored. If they feel that is the case, and I do, what else would you do in a peaceful and orderly manner to change things when that very tactic has shown time and time again that it doesn't work?

    this is a forum and not real life. on a forum, you have no rights.

    in all technicality, you to A) obey the rules set by the admin, or B) gtfo. thats pretty much your 2 options on a internet forum in all reality. the admins of the board can change the rules whenever they please and do what ever they wan because they own it. the posters are simply GUESTS of the forums.

    basically, if you want some real logic, you are guests rebelling in someones home because you do not like how that person runs HIS OWN HOUSE. thats exactly what you people are doing.

    if you really dont like it you can leave. this is a MMO and a forum, there will ALWAYS be someone that will replace you once you leave. now you can believe that or not believe it, but that is the truth.

    now that is as far as the forums are concerned. as for the game? *points you to the ToS*. you have no rights in the game eitherb:bye

    ANYTHING the GMs/admins of this forums decide to change will be from the goodness and kindness of there hearts. but if you guys continue to act like asshats then that will only frustrate them more and probaly even grow some dislike towards you. and in the end, it will solve nothing or make things worst. they might not even try to communicate with the community anymore.

    some information the GMs are not able to give out or they simply don't have it.

    i understand exactly where you guys are coming from, but what im saying is that its futile. frankie has read this thread, he posted in it and knows exactly whats up. whether or not he wants to talk to u guys is up to HIM. he isnt obligated to answer any of your questions, especially your questions in particular chaotic since technically you are banned and you are circumventing that ban. and after circumventing that ban you decided to post **** insulting frankie straight out.

    infact its a miracle your not banned right now. it was him who locked your post since he flat out stated that shelly and grim was not allowed to lock things in general last night and he would handle it. so the fact he hasnt banned you yet should tell you something. he probally actually wants to hear your concerns, have you ever thought of that? but it seems people only have negative things to think about without ever looking at the positives.

    UR right GM(GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGM) arent. Frankie isnt a normal G(GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG)M. He is THE CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCM for the company. It is HIS JOB to give up info. It is his JOB to talk to us. it is his JOB to listen and not ignore our ideas on how to make the game better or concerns. and frankly he isnt doing it

    Oh I didn't ignore it, I'm well aware of what the forum staff is able to do, I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that before. I know they can ignore us all, ban us all, and do anything else the so choose.
