Oh and the reason I use that helmet? Its str needed is 105. Which is nice. But then you realise that nirvana has LA helms, which require 104 str and have very nice bonuses.
Getting an event helm for me would be a waste of both coin and stats.

Here's even a cheaper build... Not a single vit stone, included Warsoul helm because it refines as heavy but left out event boots. All gears +6 except for +7 weapon.

That build is horrible. You dont even have over 7k hp at 99+ as a veno, which is really bad.
You dont even break 4k+ phy def. Mag def is about same as my heavy/arcane veno but u have far less hp and phy def.
You pretty much need to hide in foxform and kite/run all day long in pvp or you get 1-2 shoot by physical classes. That build needs every buff game has to offer before you leave SZ b:surrender

Hey, I'm getting ready for my nirvana gear. Not going to say my current build is amazing - its just to hold me together until I get my endgame gear. I'm certinaly not going to spend more coin on my current TT armours.

I made a few mistakes, I thought your TT99 neck was a CV neck, and didn't notice the +!0 on the helm. As for the Perfects, you have 5 vit stones. You can easily get 15 perfects for the cost of 5 vit stones. Event boots would cost you 200m now. I didn't include that either.
For someone who is gonna splurge so much money, you sure are being nitpicky now.

People say LA is the worst armor ingame. Worst overall defense. And of course archers and sins are light armor because they are forced to. Sure the default armors are good for the classes, but LA seems to be fine so far (I have LA melee fox veno). I do agree its not necessary for barbarians to wear light armor. Simply because of the skills. But its best not to judge people because they would use light armor.
I just will say that everything has its uses in this game.
As a BM I used to carry two sets of armors with me at lower levels. I would use the LA vs magic mobs and HA vs physical mobs. I would even carry magic ornaments too.
However, as I learned new ways of figthing magic mobs and the amount of these ones were reduced at upper levels. I kept using HA only.
I remember me going to FB29/39 in LA when I was between 30 and 60. and most of people would LOL at me for doing so. Only my close friends understood what I was doing and some actually copied me.
Aside from FB29/39 there are couple quests in which you kill mobs that only do magical attacks, among them some are close to tusk town, some outside fb59 and some spyders close to swiftwind camp (there are few more I cant remember). Again I used to find some people asking why I was wearing LA in those situations. In these cases, there is no reason why not to use better equipment for magic attacks.
Their jokes and failed comments I can only compare it to fat people driving cars making fun of skinny people riding bikecycles.b:chuckle
What I never did was to have LA only or LA as my main set of armor. I dont recomend that for a BM.
From all this, what I still do is to carry several weapons with me: bow, fists, axes and sword. I will later add pole too.b:victory0 -

Hey, LA is great for low levels.
Nobody is disputing that.
The OP is a low level so it's understandable he thinks that way. But everyone under level 80, listen to these 10x giving their input. It certainly means that they have played more of the game than you have. I was a LA cleric, which many people said was fail. Well I loved the build during my low and mid levels, and was able to do so much more for less coin. I showed a lot of people that LA for cleric is a nice, less squishy alternative. However, I'd never insist that my build was the *perfect* build for *everyone*. At 85+ you start noticing that it gets less effective at end levels. End of story. I restat to arcane.
Add me to the list of anecdotes, but I recommend that everyone try out various things for themselves and prove/disprove these rumours yourself if you're so adamant. Learning from your own mistakes/good decisions is the best learning of all.0 -

You say how you like to compare end-game builds. You talk about +11 Nirvana and 3 billion coin builds, yet you're squabbling over a few million coins here and there in a comparable build where the cost difference is negligible, yet you have 4 pieces of event gear. Funny how your are just unable to get past your ego acknowledge that.
One last build for you, only G9 shards, Warsoul helm is the only piece of event gear (except it was relatively easy to farm, I think we got 9 or 10 for the guild when Tournament was still working), no tome, no cape, no belt, no boots etc... I would add the CV helm, but that's far more expensive than Warsoul helm, and I replaced the horrible TT99 neck with CV neck. All +6 refines, and with what I would save by selling Warsong belt, -chan cape, event tome and event boots I could easily +10 the cv wand and still have a couple hundred million left over...

I have 5.3k hp, 4.9k pdef, 7.2k mdef, though Im about to restat a little to get my mag attack back to what it used to be, just traded wheel of denied fate for a divine aegis, so ill be at 5.1k hp, 4.8k pdef, and 7.2k mdef and my mag attack will be back at what it used to be for the lowest attack. But I can get my pdef back to where it was by putting a 3rd socket in two of my equips.0 -

Sounds decent, but for PvP and TW you should strive for 6k unbuffed. I'm not one to talk though I'm a bit squishy for a heavy and only have 8.5k. lolI post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0 -

Essence doesn't typically gank, we are usually outnumbered. People actually say "we need one or two more for pvp" or "stop coming we've got it handled" in vent or in guild chat rather than "everyone come now". And, it's always the most fun when the numbers on both sides are somewhat even. Look at the Essence vs Spectral war history... they're all brutal TWs and at any given time of the day, either side can win. Overall record is Spec with more wins, but they've faced countless more 'real' wars than we have by a long shot. It's kinda the same in group PvP with them. Numbers aren't really so much the difference as to who actually shows up. Shinzoko and Ehee... they need to be 2-3v1'd.

You lost -19% channel with that build - for a caster (especially veno) thats quite a lot.
You also have less HP, 9% less crit and the same m.def reduction.
