anyone who pays attenion in this forum would know how hated i am against new races. having said that, i honestly wouldn't mind this particular idea added to the game and the stop making more races.

there is a sea of thread all sugesting new races and most of them don't even bother to give any real detail. this idea on the other hand gives a very plausible backstory along with skills. the maker of this thread put a hell of alot of thoght into this and it shows.

if this idea were added, and PWI doesn't mess it up too much (cos we all know they will to some degree), i would accept this race. however i still feel that we have enough races in the game as is, and the devs should focus on the old classes to make them fun to play as again. the skills of the old classes were great 3 years ago, it's high time they got an upgrade.

..tehy already added this type of race..but not in PW...instead you can find something similar in FW..namely the kindred...

Wow u guys have been keeping the thread alive and well...
i don't really have much to say..
haven't really been on pw....

pw will just keep making new chars tho, and new areas, thats pretty much wat most mmo's do, just keep adding more content...
occasionally they do change old content but usually cause of balance.
maybe pw will revamp the old as well as bringing new content... maybe... just maybe...

Thanks for the compliment .I know I'm smart enough to figure out that this will never happen.Because like I pointed out so will the devs.If you want this to happen either move to china or learn chinese and go post it on chinese forum...or apply for a job at PWE..otherwise..like many other mmos out there the suggestion thread is just for teh devs to laugh about and ignore it.This thread is a fine example of it.While every idea here is very good and I approve..well this is all I or you for that matter can do,just approve.

This race suggestion has reached quite an age; yes as it is now it won't ever be implemented since by now it's 'outdated'. Many elements are now included in the Earthguard's class settings and the outer appearance are represented similarly in FW's Kindred race.

And by the way, not all suggestions are 'ignored' or even 'laughed' of; for example 'TAB-Cycling through enemies', this feature was once brought up in a player suggestion; several months later that very feature was implemented in game.
Another example. Tideborns. Before that race was implemented I remember there was a race suggestion with a similar background story (about mermaids and stuff). It wasn't really detailed; not as detailed as our race idea. A year later or so, Tideborns were introduced.

On a side note. Try hitting space after a dot.

Yet there is no proof these ideas were taken from here....the devs are chinese so it's sure to say someone from the chinese side suggested something similar.Or maybe they just thought it up themselves.It wold actually help if at every expansion or patch they say whos ideas are there,or give em a lil credit..Not many mmos do it.Only one mmo that I played actually is made by the players...were many expansions were actually inspired from stories made up by the community...and the devs had no shame in saying so.That mmo is Anarchy online.Players are so appreaciated that even some of them who have 3d or prog skills are hierd by FC.Even better the devs admited many profs were either O.p or U.p so they tooked veterans of each class from the comminity to debate and help balance the game(this game has 4 races and 12 classes..so a total of 48 combinations).So guess if the idea with the tab function is actually an indea of a person who posted this,it just goes to show you how big jerks the devs are if they do not give credit to that person .Alto you said it came out after a few months..a tab function is a simple progam line that even a noob with prog interest can do in less than 1 week.

This thread is indeed very old - more than a year old whatsoever.
And it has never been necroed once. Thanks to the Cursed team and its supporters.

If you really had read the whole thread and not just skimmed it lightly, you'd have come across several posts regarding the matter 'stickying' and PWE staff presence.
A single suggestion cannot be stickied for various reasons, such as favouring certain topics.
It's a bit difficult with heavy suggestions such as a new race idea - which is why it's unlikely that someone of the PWE staff is going to comment here publicly.

Hmm, I really like the way you structure your post.

I also think that a dark/vampire race would be awesome. (maybe let them have two different eye colours, instead of fixed ones)
They should have claw-like hands and yeah, fangs when smiling are great.
Scars and tattoos on their faces, and on their bodies would make them look much more savage and such.

This dark race should use some kind of astral and shadow-like creatures as flying mounts (not restricted to creatures with wings of course!) like an astral/shadowlike tiger-like / wolf-like / bat-like / dragon-like monster.

The names of the classes are great, but I think we dont need any more DD's, we need another summoner and healer class.

So let the Night Hunter be able to summon restricted-to-class wraiths/pets,
and Shadow Specters be another healer/debuffer class.

And about the meditation... I'd rather suggest letting them standing upright, with folded arms/ claws over faces, in some desperate, savage phase (maybe letting them shake in pain aswell) ...

Hmm... the weapons... those Katras are already ingame as fists/claws I think.... and those ankhs look a bit like wands...

Maybe some psy weap' like orbs flying around the heads of the Shadow Specters...

and for the Night Hunters some armlong battle gloves with spikes and thorns at the forearm and long bloody claws at the fingers... to differentiate those gloves from fists/claws and such, make them glowing/ add mist...

Hmm, well now, that's all for now...

just been reading quite a bit of this thread and i love the idea of this race and i think that it would be a good idea for the mounts that a underworld like creature carries the character in their arms as if they are hugging them as such and then holds their hand out when they have stopped so that the char is ready for battle xxx

actually, a rework of their background can open up a massive amount of possibliy\es that could actually bring new life to PW, but that would mean alot of work. if you let the cursed actually be on the side of the wraiths, open up a new dimension for them to love in (maybe half the size of the current map), and have yet another map that acts as an in between for the world of the races of pan gu and the wraith and you can make the way for fun times:P

the middle map idea comes from the recent QQ from the ones who are pissed that SP is being turned back to the way it was. the middle map can be an open PVP warzone where the 2 opposing forces can tear at eachother's throats. it can be set up simluar to TW but on a MUCH large scale. the thing with that idea tho is the fact that it would take a massive amount of work, and the evil side will be almost powerless thanks to the **** amount of high levels in the game now.

but at the very least, this thread is worth keeping alive due to some elements in it can be neat in the game, even if it's not the entire idea. too bad this is a necro, it may get closed lol.

The common law of PWE and their rules do not apply in this thread.
It's the Cursed Law that forbids this.
If anyone ever tries to lock this, the consequences would be... unthinkable. b:chuckle

Your separate map ideas have style, Lady_buffer, however it's not that necessary for the Cursed to have an own map realm (the yet upcoming space on the actual map needs to be filled with content after all =D). But a open PVP map would be... interesting.

well my knowledge of the origin of the wraiths has gotten rusty. but i think given all that's happened, the only way the wraiths survived Pan gu's flood is if they were in another dimension, or at least underground. Wraithgate (it's the one place where wraith can enter the world of pan gu) kinda supports this i think, then the earth guard themselves were fighting the wraith while the other races were fighting among themselves, again (correct me if i'm wrong i never bothered with the EG storyline) they did this underground or in some other world. there just seems to be some points in the story line that suggests that the wraith moved somewhere else all together.
