    This entire time I've been talking about 1v1 veno vs veno PvP, where I'm frustrated because the veno purged my my veno's useless self buff. How did you know!!! O_O

    Let me just reiterate what i was saying because you're too stupid to comprehend. The fact that I, as a veno, can purge lets say, a cleric's plume shell, clerics buffs, wr buffs, etc; Lucky Scarab, Bleed, Pounce... dead.

    As someone who's played the squishiest class in PWI on harshlands, I can safely say that purge really doesn't make a hell of a lot of difference. If I get bled, I die, buffs or no.


    As someone who's played a barb to 73, I also can offer that perspective as well.

    Here's the deal: A veno should NOT get close enough to purge a barb. If they do, stun + Geddon. If you miss, either tank bleed with pots and try to stun - debuff - onslaght them to death, or just run away in tiger form.

    I also have a 6x cleric. Same story as wizzie. Bleed = death, no matter the buffs. If I can purify in time, I may tank it for a few more seconds, but it doesn't make a difference.

    Venos also should not get close enough to a BM to purge them. If they do, it's stunlock - dragon - ****.

    And if any veno makes it inside 10 meters on an archer, that archer deserves to lose their buffs.

    The fact is, the biggest drawback of purge is it's range. This is negated if the veno is ganking their target, and I suspect that's what's making you so pissed.

    Purge is not overpowered, it's about as balanced as it can be.

    BTW, if wizzies weren't such a gimp class, Undine strike is the most broken-overpowered debuff in the game. 60% elemental resist debuff? Spammable? 30 meter range? Yes please.


    You asked for opinions from PvP server players, there ya go.

    I stress this again, if PURGE was so broken.. it would have had the same amount of QQ about it as Flesh Ream has.

    The fact is.. you want to be able to kill without risk. You want a fat easy simple target that has no chance to fight back.

    You say "fox form is no big deal" but here you are wrong, for a Veno to do any damage, they have to be out of fox form. It is way too easy to ground a Nix. That leaves the veno having to recall the pet, and send it back out. In the mean time, they die.

    My being on a PVE server, has NOTHING to do with my PVP experience. Get that through your thick, dumb, moronic skull.

    Come play a REAL PVP game where risk -vs- reward means the risk is you losing everything you have on you if you die. Where REAL fights involve 500-1200+ players duking it out. Where the consequences of failure can be having to rebuild from scratch. Where from DAY ONE.. you are in a pure PVP based environment with a chance to be attacked and killed from the second you create your character.

    Then talk to me about my having no clue about PVP.

    why dont you try running into 10 meters range of a melee class with arcane armor on, transform, start casting purge and then transform back to human (and if you're still alive) fight the person? Its easier said than done >.<

    y are you peeps calling tht person a coward when we all hide behind avatars seriously you peeps need to just calm down stop fighting just post your thoughts if someone says somethin about you **** them & be the better person & dont post any more you people need to learn how to interact with each other with out fighting just take 1 deep breath after another then log out shut down your pc & go find some chick or dude to hang with remember its only a game
    also purge is just fine the way it is it has major disadvantages compared to its advantages.
    enjoy the game peeps & remember "kids" if you have nothing nice to say dont post treat peeps like you would wnt to be treated when you post an idea just state your opinion in a nice way & remember its just a game some one should close this before more flaming begins

    I am calling him a coward because he rolled a toon specifically to hide his PVP character. The only reason to do this is because he is AFRAID people will KOS him.

    I agree with your sentiment NaturesSoul. It would be nice if conversations could be handled w/o degenerating into flames and trolls. Unfortunately, that isn't how things work in the world. There are too many clueless people that have no clue but think they are qualified to talk about anything.

    well just to set some things straight, you must realize that at 9x people invest a lot more into shards and refine a lot more. a 9x wizard can have upwards of 8k or more pdef with stone barrier on, and yes i am speaking of wizards in arcane armor. therefore, much like how a wizard with stone barrier can have such good pdef, it stands to reason that a well geared arcane veno can also reach such stats using the defense bonus of fox form.

    it stands to reason that a veno can at least manage to purge an archer or another caster class without suffering too much harm especially if she uses holy path while her pet has managed to stun successfully. whether a successfully cast purge is broken, however, that is up to you people to discuss. but lets assume purge does get cast successfully, even more so since there are weapons available to other classes that purges as well.

    Intelligence doesn't always revolve around book knowledge. I know guys that never made it out of 6th grade, that can out program me in C++ and Python with their eyes closed. Know a couple guys when I lived in Georgia that could fix anything with wheels, new or old, but couldn't do basic math.

    They were Intelligent, just not in the way that we would normally measure it.

    *edit* Actually one of my friends totally scares the hell out of me. He failed Junior High. Not for lack of ability, but because he spent his time studying things he found interesting and just didn't do any 'required' work. He studied Computers. I have not seen anyone in my life with more ability to program than him. I have seen him write a totally brand new program from scratch (32,000 lines of code for the particular one I am referring to), without ever looking at his monitor, while holding a conversation with me... and after compile, it worked exactly as advertised. Dude scares me.

    i am not a veno i played a veno up to 41 and stopped too boring. i am now a lvl 92 bm yes i am on a pve server but i have pked on it the purge skill really doesnt effect that much cause right after they purge you all you have to do is rebuff yourself the only time purge can be an issue is if your getting attacked by multiple people. and most of the time if anyone disagrees with you all i have seen come out of your mouth is "your an idiot"

    If you lose your buffs all the time, why don't you learn to play without buffs? or build your character so you won't have to depend on it too much.
    If you were a venomancer, you'd have learned how to play without buffs unless you were in a party 24/7

    I get this picture of this guy who gets debuffed and then owned by veno's every day. And then gets sick of it resulting in QQ.
    Seriously, purge isn't overpowered. You're probably just relying too much on buffs.

    in any 9x pvp if you are unbuffed you are basically a 1 shot. you already have bleed. make purge cost 1 fury.
