Nerf Purge/Debuff

I think many of us can agree, Venomancer's Purge is absolutely the most broken skill in the game.

Lets list the pros:
1) Purge has a VERY quick cast time.

2) Nearly impossible to dodge unless immune* or a perfectly timed Wizard distance shrink/Blademaster jump. Not to mention venomancers have up to 4? simultaneous stuns/freezes.(Lucky, hell Frost, Genie skills, Pounce)

3) Debuffs literally every single buff without fail.

4) Cool down is tolerable and is spammable.

5) Has no downside effect, for example Elemental Seal on a Cleric.

6) Purge is NOT of the Wood element, so Anti-Wood Genie skills are useless.

*absolute domain, various immune pots

Cons

1) Have to be in fox form (big deal) and 10 meters away (big deal)

2) That's basically it.

In PvP:

My suggestions to fix purge are the following:

1) Have a longer cast.

2) Some kind of downside effect, ei: Armor break, Mdef decrease, SOMETHING.

3) And probably the biggest suggestion: Only removing 1-3 RANDOM buffs when successfully purged. Not EVERY single buff.

4) Probably a stupid suggestion, but a chance to fail purge.

Tell me what you all think, I hope the devs read this. I know its probably impossible to change the game mechanics of this ridiculous skill, but I'm just getting the idea across.

In a way he does have a point. You have to admit alot of the skills on some classes lean toward... a little to the extreme if abused.

You will get alot of flaming tho. Skills like those, pple want to keep. Thus they will try to push it far down as possible, especially from the said class, making it seem like 'just another QQ' thread.

Not sure how much of a tweaked diff. there is in PWI as compared to PW china but its always possible to list out some facts and examples and ticket them in. Maybe if your lucky, one of the 'problems' might already be a subject the US pple were working on.

Just like bramble was supposedly broken, fixed and nerfed. Now it doesn't reflect during PVP (OMG! It's not fair!!!!! QQQQQQQ!!!! Venos can kill us without having to do anything other than cast bramble).

While we're at it, why not fix the additional physical def and accuracy enhancements for fox form. Physical def is too high making fox form venos harder to kill. Why not half the physical def of fox form?

Better yet, make venos unable to equip any armor, weapon or ornaments. Just make them able to equip fashions and walk around looking pretty after all they have their pets to do everything even make coffee and fetching the slippers and newspapers.

ok serious time nao, let's be reasonable for a minute. this guy has stated his reasons and listed suggestions, he's not saying get rid of purge. the least the rest of you can do is to present a logical argument. tell him why purge is not too strong, or tell him why purge's strengths are justified. this kind of "QQmoar butthurt" or "lawl veno hate" responses gets you nowhere because it says nothing. it might be an obvious answer for all i care, but don't just do this to him.

if it continues to escalate like this, then you're just digging your own hole because you are showing OP that you can't come up with a reasonable explanation that purge isn't strong to the point that it upsets balance. do i think it's too strong in pvp? i have no idea honestly because i don't fight.

Why are you so ignorant. Everything else about the veno is fine, even bleed is easier to deal with than ****ing purge.

Because you think purge is overpowered doesn't mean it's really overpowered. Purge is there to debuff the enemy to make it weaker. Never thought about the buffs you get to be overpowered? probably not because they were convenient for you. So basically, purge is also overpowered because it takes away your overpowered buffs...?

Seriously considering the only time I use Purge is in FB/TT/BH I can't comment much on it's use in PVP.

What I am going to comment on though is why do you only mention Veno's? I seem to vaguely recall other classes that have this ability as well, either in skills or weapons they can get.

If the problem isn't so much the skill, as the fact it is a 100% wipe of the buffs that the skill does, then lets broaden the discussion to include the skills use in it's entirety.

Also, Post with your main. Not some forum trolling Alt you rolled out of fear Veno's on your server will hunt you down for starting the topic.

Again.. if it is totally about the skill, and not just another QQ whine about Veno's. Then include the skills use everywhere, by all classes that have it. Otherwise your just QQ about Veno's, and too afraid to do it from your main.

the fact you have to transform into fox mode, cast, wait for fox mode cooldown, transform back before your ready to fight again is a big enough disadvantage for me thank you very much

Bramble only is nerfed in world pvp where it doesn't reflect but damage reduction still works. Still works the regular way in duels and tw. I have nothing to complain about purge since it has a long 60 second cooldown (if it was a 5 second cooldown then i'd complain) and they have to come up rather close like 10 meters and omg its not that hard to click a couple buttons and rebuff or *cough* run away for like 10 seconds.....but eitherway my bad for falling for flamebait.

Might as well complain about debuff bows, debuff spears too.

buffs make u overpowered? buffs are the back bone of everything. A wizard without stone barrier is nothing. a WB without HP buff dies nearly as fast.

And why are all these PvP carebears who know nothing of PvP even responding in such a sarcastic way?

Whats wrong with going in fox form? You can also amp, use genie skills, Myriad Rainbow, heal pet. Nothing wrong with it. Not to mention melees do **** damage to a fox.

Bramble Hood costs 2 sparks you dumb ****

I will say again, PvP-less people stay out of here. This is for PVP REDUCTION.
