    I doubt they will simply ever get rid of the Anni packs due to the items you can possibly get from them if you are lucky enough .

    1. if you are lucky enough you can lunar equipment , frost equipment which saves you about a 500k repair bil from actually doing FCC cause the only bosses that drop anything there are the last 2 bosses and is about a 4-9 hour run saves time and money just to not do FCC.

    OMG, who are you running FF with???? A slow FF run takes a little over 2 hours. If we rush it we can do it in less than 2 hours....

    Teles are generally 15-20k depending on where you look. While this definitely doesn't reflect the current gold price, it's NOT cheaper - when gold was normal, teles were at most 12k or so (fair price was 10k).

    Socket stones are not cheaper. I've never seen them sold for less than 20k each since the packs first appeared. A fair value on socket stones would be 6-8k.

    Not all of us want Razor Stings and Lobsters.

    Frost weps are obtainable, not cheaper - there's a difference. Most Frost/Lunar weps being sold are sold at a price that most F2P players can't hope to afford, so this is not much of a comfort to them.

    Shards are about the only things I can think of that are cheaper - assuming you find your tokens at a "reasonable" price.



    ...and in exchange for all that?
    • Price of mounts multiplied by 5.
    • Price of aerogear multiplied by 5.
    • Price of all fashion items and pigments multiplied by 5.
    • Price of safe, inventory, and pet bag extensions multiplied by 5.
    • Price of charms multiplied by 5 (this one is huge for TW players and some others).
    • Price of refining materials multiplied by 5.
    • Price of perfect iron hammers multiplied by 5.
    • Price of wedding packs multiplied by 5.
    • Price of stat resets multiplied by 5.
    • Buying mats from the CS is now completely impractical since you'll get a better deal from the ripoff catshops in West District. Wine prices are going up as a result of this combined with the demands of BH.
    • Price of tomes goes up significantly (as most of their cost comes from tome pages which are found in the CS).
    • And I probably forgot a few CS items which have also quintupled in price due to the packs.
    • (EDIT: And let's not forget all those Venos who feel like they need to have Hercs to function in this game - they're looking at 100mil per Herc/Nix)

    I don't know about you, but I'd rather not suffer through all of the above just so a Lobster or a Razor Sting can become slightly more obtainable.

    The gold system was designed to give F2P players an avenue to obtain gold to spend on the things they want. What if I'd rather have a Chubbs than a Lobster? It'll run me 5mil at best... would've run me 7.5-10mil if PWI hadn't reduced mount prices (was Chubbs 15 gold or 20? can't remember).

    I don't blame PWE for wanting to give out some awards, but they stopped being novel and started being annoying two months ago.

    And as for "excitement" from the packs - are you honestly telling me you still get excited upon a single click of your mouse upon which you've basically just gambled 500k? Again, it was exciting the first week when we were all in the spirit of PWI's one-year anniversiary. After that, the meaning was lost and the packs only came to symbolize how out of touch the PWE execs are with their player base. It's like if it were Christmas every day - you'd love it for a week, then it would drive you insane.

    EDIT: And before anyone bashes me about CS stuff "not being a necessity" - I remind you that nothing you get from the Anni Packs is any more of a necessity. -_-

    Yah, it really upsets me when I see those level 20s running around in Lunar gear they got from the packs....

    It does not matter, when it comes down to it, sooner or later, people will have those and making lunar runs will be like making FF runs.. or TT runs.

    Only unfair items in the packs, when it comes down to it, are the shards. At 5.4billion to make and over 30 days to combine just one, the high level shards creates a far larger imbalance than any gear the packs dropped.

    I dont care almost the cash shoppers, I just, i dont know why anymore. Being lvl 90 and such it meh now. Anni packs are driving ppl insane. lol The gear it can give, ppl sooooo want it and blow everything on it. Good for you, it is your choice. Give us a break Devs. Anni packs were nice, but now its just sad....

    I know these issues and ideas and concerns were already express by many others. Its the 16 of November now, any time when they will be out? Thats the golden question we alll have at the moment.

    Its cold, dark and the future looks black. Give us final hope before its too late D:

    I'm done with Perfect World..

    I've found other MMOs that don't break my bank or make it nigh-impossible to get ahead without breaking the wallet. I've decided not to spend another dollar on PWI and I just don't have the time to grind and farm endlessly when I can make better progress in a different game far quicker.

    Its a great MMO, but it solicits money from its plyer base far too often in my opinion. Having anni packs that offer high grade items to anyone while people who chose not to spend have to work tirelessly to get them is proof of that. I've enjoyed my time here and hope the economy improves in the future.

    No that is not a lie, stop dreaming. Do you think Gold prices will rise to 500k if nobody is buying it? The majority of the people playing loves the Packs.
    You can make a poll and most people will choose "No for Anni Packs". Do you really think that everybody in the game goes into the forums? In reality, only a small fraction goes to the forums.

    6.)I want Anniversary Packs to be removed.

    I know you people want the packs, but are unable to get them. So you QQ for them to be removed because you know other people who have access to them will be better than you. You want to stop this from happening. -_-

    7.)ZEN buyers and Non-ZEN buyers should be balanced.

    This is a F2P game. If the ZEN buyers have no advantage over the Non-ZEN buyers, they will stop buying ZEN, thus PWE will stop earning a profit, and in the end, PWE has to close down the game. If the game is closed, you can't continue playing.

    8.)So this is a "Free to Pay, but Pay to Win" game?

    Of course, every F2P game is like this. If you haven't realise this, you probably haven't played a lot of F2P games.

    9.)I feel no sense of achievement anymore.

    Why? I don't get why you don't. Just set your own goals.

    10.)I can't buy Gold anymore because it is so expensive.

    First of all, be happy you can actually and legally buy Gold in-game. I doubt other MMORPGs would let you do that. The reason on why Gold is 500k is because it is worth 500k! People are willing to buy at that amount! Very shocking eh? >_>

    YEs I've been wondering that myself, you say November, but when in november??

    Also I believe the Anni pack was a huge mistake. I've been saving for nearly a year for my Herc and when I flinally get enough for it the anni packs are introduced ruining the already bad economy. Then during the two week removal the economy began to repair only to ahve it worsended by the re-introduction of the packs. After doing the math my once 60million dollar herc in now gonna cost me about 112 mill.

    The pack was a good idea for the first month, because the prices of gold were regular and it allowed people to get some good stuff from it for a good price, which I though was the whole idea in the first place. All of a sudden, the company owners realize that they have a good thing going for them. They realized that they could keep selling the packs to people, because people love (for some reason) spending money on colourful pixels, and in my perspective it's pure greed. Once it finally kicked into people that the prices of gold were outrageous, and they weren't really getting their money's worth, these people started complaining. I believe that the owners of PWI don't really care about the people who don't like to spend money on this game, but only their customers. I understand that this is how they make their profit, but i find it ridiculous that the people who don't spend their paychecks on this game don't have a voice. In my opinion, this is an act of pure greed, and if PWI owners want to keep their supporters and loving community they will need to make some drastic changes, starting with respect over cash. I am sure the owners make enough money as it is without selling the packs, and I personally know a lot of proud players who quit because of this epic change in economy. And lets think about this, an anniversary pack can't go on all year, it isn't even logical. Sure, bring it back every year for one month, but don't destroy the community for money purposes, nothing good will be said about PWI this way.

    Please try keep this thread free of accusations. While I really do understand the frustration being felt we can't allow people to accuse our company of things like that, and they do not help the situation either.

You understand the problem, you know what is being done wrong, why not just hurry up and fix it? You will satisfy many, which will make you loved more by the lovers, and restore hope to the disbelievers.

    Wish I could side with PWI on this one... but I'm like the VAST majority of others who generally for all kinds of reasons think the Anni Packs were a pretty average idea and a BAD idea to keep them going...

    I live in hope that somehow someone is seeing a much bigger picture than most of us humble gamers... but until then...

    I'll keep playing 'cause I love the game and I have invested both time and money into it and I have built friendships. That I'm sure represents many players, so please PWI give us reasons to hang around (like the 2x weekend we just had!!!!) and not to leave :)

    The 2x weekend was a nice treat, as it would be if it were to continue, but it is still no excuse to keep the anniversary packs in the game. The 2x weekends will really just play a nice role in earning the supporters back, but it will not keep them. I udnerstand that every weekend can't be 2x weekends, and I do not ask for it, and I believe that it should eb the same with the anniversary pack. Too much of a good thing slowly becomes a downfall.

    Human greed hasn't changed. The gold seller's, buyer's greed has never changed. Ever.

    So what changed? PWI. Sales, anni packs, events-- everything that would make the average player want gold more.

    To an extent, you're right. It was the people. But PWE started the events. And PWE can stop them. JJ... no sales for a while, etc. Stop it for a while, and watch prices fall as less and less people want to "BUY THAT NAOW!"

    There's three parties at fault with gold prices. Buyers, sellers, and PWE. No more, no less. Stop thinking that the buyers or sellers just suddenly had a random upsurge of greed. That doesn't make sense.

    -this means the price of GS is fixed at 50k each of in game coins

    -but u have GS in CS too, and they cost Xsilver

    -since i dont think any1 will GIFT away things they have payed with IRmoney
    -NOW > Xsilver cost 50k in game

    -there u are the gold price fixed by devs...

    FOLLOW THE SAME PATTERN FOR ANNI.PACK, just instead of haveing 300k gold we'll have it at 500k

    All I'm going to say is that when people feel like they're not being listened to, they often make themselves heard by... less-than-civil methods. We've all been patient for months waiting for real action to be taken on these matters. For the life of me I can't understand why we just can't get one statement from the higher-ups at PWE suggesting that they give a **** about us and that they intend to do something.

    I mean... by all means purge this thread of false accusations. I understand you have the obligation to do so, and it does help civilize the discussion. But it's a lot of work for you GM's to do... when it can all be solved by one little sign from above that they don't look at us like a bunch of ants trying to drag uncomfortably large sacks of money.

    i really think that if a thread like this made over 2000 replies in less than a month this is a BIG matter, in spite of POPULAR DEMAND...

    and is not like this 1000ppl are happy of what is going on

    i feel FOOLED, and i would feel even worse if i didnt yell it out...

    if i found something that i dont like i point it out, and if it became a common issue then im more than happy to have complained at 1st.

    im italian, we have TONS of problem entrenched in our whole history...
    i.e. MAFIA, is one of those, and it spread out more every day due to the conspiracy of silence instilled in every1 hearts...if we'd talk we'd be able to counter it, but we just dont


    the women revolution came after years of exploiting the weak-sex. when the women took the place of the men into the factory (during WWII) and prove to be able to work the same way, they go pubblic protest(manifest) to be heared.

    i can make other examples...but im just tired of silence


    together we could meet to make things better, cuz u(PW) wont exist without us, and we wouldnt play without you...

    but even GMs cant have a good speech with devs, seeing the effort that gm puts to make things better (i.e. bugs reporting) and the low result we got in game

    I absolutely love how the GM's never say anything assuring that will allow us to know what is happening for sure. Instead, they just say a little something which is positive allowing us to believe that they actually give a damn. I don't even play PWI anymore, but i know what it is like to play a game that i really enjoy, just for it to come crashing down because of popular demand or greed. And yes, it is greed.

    For the eight millionth time, the GMs don't make the decisions. They're told what they can and can't release by the PWE higher-ups. And they get paid to be GMs - it's their full-time job. So they kind of have a right to try and keep it.

    That doesn't mean they can't treat us like human beings, though - and the GMs do. Spoons in particular does a great job of leveling with us within the confines of his job. :P

    It's the execs up there who won't level with us. That's the problem.

    I am in amazement at how the GMs are handling this thread. So professional and inoffensive. Thank you for allowing everyone to vent their anger without consequence. Please remain to be patient with the players, I know the rest of us will move on eventually.

    Also, to my fellow PWI players... always remember, suffering is optional :)

    The anniv packs...let's face it have lasted waaay too long. We all have a tendency to blame the G.M.s and other higher ups with all the rise in gold to rediculous rates and we try to find a way to vent out our anger. But here's the thing...

    1) We do have a choice of getting certain things from the cash shop in which, in essence really aren't necessary to play the game and have a good time.
    2) The packs should either go completely or there should be another alternative to getting the tokens of luck, such as simply paying in-game coinage.
    3) There needs to be a higher coin alternative charge in the cash shop for those who do not wish to pay through zen.
    4) Its a F2P game and you can make it that way, as long as you are not so concerned about getting all the flashy stuff.

    The GMs have always been helpful as much as they can and they are not in charge of the final say when it comes to the anniv. pack. In the end, it's really up to you, as the player and consumer, to decide whether to buy those packs. Simply put, if people don't buy them or buy them rarely gold would go down, but really they do need to be removed.

    It's also important to think about this...if we (as the player community as a whole) were to purchase so many of these packs to get all these mounts that are super-rare and whatnot...to me the game is about having fun and meeting new people, not show off money burned through a couple flashy pixels on the screen. b:victory

    To an extent, you're right. It was the people. But PWE started the events. And PWE can stop them. JJ... no sales for a while, etc. Stop it for a while, and watch prices fall as less and less people want to "BUY THAT NAOW!"

    There's three parties at fault with gold prices. Buyers, sellers, and PWE. No more, no less. Stop thinking that the buyers or sellers just suddenly had a random upsurge of greed. That doesn't make sense.

    It IS an upsurge of greed. Look at prices when the game started, 100k per gold at the highest. Now look at the prices. Why do prices go up? Greed. There is no other reason for any price to ever go up...ever.

    Supply and demand is not a factor, considering people have the power to NOT charge insane amounts REGARDLESS of supply and demand. As long as the power to NOT charge high prices exists, and it always will, any and all price raising is done entirely by greed.
