    Hey Spoons, just wondering are you guys looking at the histories on the pages that are being created as well? I added a new page to the Guides section called Baby Pet Guide, you can see the link if you go here:

    I added it this morning and uploaded all my pictures to it that I took screenshots of and edited, added info on crafting the pets etc. Now I come back this evening to read over it for spelling errors and I find my entire guide has been completely deleted by another user and on top of that that same user has stolen my information that I put up claiming it as theirs (this is namely the location areas at the bottom because they are in the exact same order and have the same coordinates that I specificly picked out of the PWDatabase for my guide). I took the liberty to undo this change and restored my guide to it's original state (as you can see in the history for that page). Is this something that is being considered because I'm sure there will be plenty more such deletions etc.

    I did send my original guide via e-mail as a pdf but I'm just kinda frustrated a bit because I put a lot of work into my guides and I assumed editors would have the common decency to create their own guides if they feel they can do it better not trash someone else's.

    Edit: Taking another look at the guide again the user basically copied my entire guide including the layout and claimed it as their own. Also there is a separate entry that can be found here:

    That is an unlinked page where the user has originally posted their guide but then felt the need to delete mine and cover up what they copied. Perhaps this user should learn how to link separate pages on the main link guide instead deleting the work of others?

    Edit2: Now he's stealing my pictures that I uploaded and hasn't even had the decency to credit me for my work... sorry for the edit spam... I'm a bit mad b:angryb:surrender

    Yeah we're taking that into consideration. As the contest states if the information is not original it will not be considered.

    We were hoping that people would be considerate of other peoples content. Usually if only the link has been deleted the guide will still exist on the wiki.

    If the issue is that there is only one guide link per section, everyone should feel free to add a link to their own guides in the main topic at the top.

    Question: when you make a new guide, is there an option to "protect" listed at the top of the page?

    Nah I added the link my self under the guides but the person went to the actual page that was created and removed all my contents and put his in it's place (which in the end was still my content but less fluent and grammatical lol).

    This is what I mean... in the history you see all my changes, then a change by a user (which is when the deletion happened) then me restoring the change.

    Quick question.

    If I started a guide but someone arleady editted and put the information on there, what do I do?

    I would feel wrong to edit it. But then again, I did start itb:shocked...

    b:shocked Not come to that point. So far when I've been adding stuff, I usually put a small note its work in progress as such and so far its worked

    I have been thinking of adding to your guide for "crafting". However, its already too big, and should probably be split out into five our six guides (four for production skills -- each deserves its own gide, and one or two for harvesting and drops.)

    But if I create new pages and split them out, I would be stomping all over the current page's history and everyone else's work... so should this kind of treatment be postponed until after the contest?

    Any page that I do I save a hard copy on my laptop in notepad, that way if it does go awol you can just copy and paste it backb:pleased

    Yep, that's the best way to do it.

    @Centetric: I hope you don't have to search the internet all again. You can go in your internet history if you didn't delete it that is.

    is it ok if i link some skills to the skill list?
    i would do it but not sure if its allowed
    Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
    Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
    So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

    I've added it in under 'new players' since it didn't seem to go anywhere else.

    I've also just realised - I (and others) have uploaded a whole pile of icons from the game.

    I *presume* this is ok, but can we get an official statement on that?

    It looks like we all have to have different names for our uploads. Double check everyone.

    It does warn you when you try to upload, but yes.
    I think names like "CubeOfFate_Confirm" would be better than just "Confirm", reduce the chance of collisions, no?

    (And I just uploaded a HUGE pile of things named 'coal' etc. Huh. Oh well, I guess the only possible collision is with an in-game picture of the mine)
