DDO did exactly that a couple of years ago. Every 20 epic chest openings/per character yields choice of epic item for that dungeon. RNG is fine if a limit is established.

That's a good way to express it. I ended up with 1400 medallions, 16 dye packs, 4 rank 5s, no companion. Apparently, I was your dog killing accomplice.

Well over 50 runs (stopped counting) on my CW and no companion.:( Note: My daughter got one on her 1st run with her DC.:)

Bearing arms is actually pretty awesome. I thought it was a competition problem, at first, but you will get credit for every warrior freed/armed if you participate in the fight. You do not have to be grouped with the other players to get completion. I thought I would share this surprisingly pleasant surprise....

I was going to enter both of these issues from my 1st run through with my CW. I was able to mess around with the inventory full bug and did finally loot the chest, but I still have the uncompleted seizing power quest.

Me too. This seems to be account based. I have not been receiving my AD reward for the last few weeks on my main account. Others in the group are getting the reward, by the way. Any ideas on the root cause?

This reflects the ultimate truth for me. -BoP may "force" some number of folks to run dungeons a small number of times. -BoE "enabled" everyone to run dungeons an infinite number of times. I'd rather enable my player base than force them into anything. A strategy that increases the choices for players is usually better…

I agree that if you look up the term "round-robin" it will be defined much as you state, but as a long time user of this loot method, I can assure it does not work that way in game. All loot is pre-assigned before it hits the ground. You can never pick up anything and loot will continue to fall pre-assigned to all party…

When I run with my guild, I set loot rules to "round robin". It is so nice to never even see or hear anything about loot during a run. No need for "need", "greed" or "pass". Loot is distributed by an automatic greed roll. If you see loot on the ground it is yours. I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned this???

We use Skype, as well. Simple, easy, free, and seems to be an invisible load on the game. I'm not sure how to monitor the bandwidth usage, but I don't see any degradation in gameplay with Skype active. (great for my usual 2-man group)
