  • Yet you think they don't get around this via the AH? Doesn't matter, it's still easy enough for them now.
  • Auction house tax is EXORBITANT. The fact that the auction house is the only way to trade AD is ludicrous also. We're allowed to trade gold person to person, yet we're not allowed to trade AD. That's a big joke on gold, which has very little value. Another thing is that the auction broker in Protector's Enclave is…
  • Which is good....since there's a tremendous amount of AD continually entering the game. As large as the AD fee appears to be...it's still only about 10% per transaction. There's 95%+ still remaining in circulation. (As not everything will sell & not everyone will sell their loot)[/QUOTE] Where is this "tremendous" amount…
  • You sir are correct. Most everything on the AH is ridiculously over priced and has been highly inflated since the start with the Founder's packs. A lot of that AD has been and is continuing to be diminished by all of the AD sinks in the game. Every purchase on the AH continually diminishes the amount of AD in the game, far…
  • I had one horrible que where the others in the group were using one of the "short cuts" and of course, no one in the group communicates. So, we start of killing the mobs then when we get to the next section I'm attacking the mobs while the rest of the group runs by them and goes off the path to suicide so they can respawn…
  • One of the nice things about Neverwinter is that you have a manageable amount of abilities/powers; unlike some other MMOs where you're juggling over two dozen different abilities/powers on your main hot bars and several other quick slot bars. The negative is that the wait the powers are slotted, it's inconvenient to swap…
  • I LOLed when I read OP stating that Cryptic wants the zen/ad value to keep "tanking." The exact opposite was said when zen shot up towards the 500 mark when some people accused Cryptic of purposely raising the zen/ad ratio. The zen/ad exchange is player driven, so blame the players and those those players that exploited. A…
  • That's because a dam isn't a swear word while d.a.m.n. can be considered one.
  • I'd like to think the debate will be over but there will still be those that will call for server wipes after the next exploit goes wild; claiming the game's economy was ruined from the beginning since open beta.
  • You think the raging is bad about the balance issues with pvp? It's about to get worse but it's a welcome change as it brings different approach, IMO.
  • My download was 1589 MBs. The various sizes might mean Cryptic is doing the rollout in stages and depending on regions. On June 20 when the game is officially out of beta, you'll still be downloading updated patches but less than the total for the entire pre-patch and final patches. The pre-patch is mostly the core files…
  • That makes much more sense. According to stormdrag0n, Dragon shard had 12,312 people in Protector's Enclave.
  • The problem is how do you or the Devs prove someone used an exploit knowingly? Obviously, doing so repeatedly proves someone exploited knowingly and if there's gains through AH/trades. What if its one time or maybe a few times and the player did it unknowingly because the game allowed it? I did not say anything about being…
  • Wow, Dragon seems to be well populated with 114 instances. Right now, Beholder only has 14 instances w/ about 80 on most instances and couple dozen on others.
  • I'm certainly not condoning the exploits but there are varying degrees of exploits. It's not just black and white. Most dungeon parties use the short cuts (walking on cliff sides to bypass mobs, jumping down to death to respawn at next campfire) to get to the bosses. Should those people be permanently banned? That's an…
  • Exploiting a game is wrong but it's certainly not a CRIME. It's one thing to discuss bans and the reasons for it. It's another thing for the thread to be closed simply because someone felt like it.
  • Exit the game and the launcher pops back up to start download pre-patch files. You can close that launcher/download and restart the launcher if you want to get back in the game right away.
  • No, when you launch the game it lets your right in and you can play the game right away. Only after you exit does the launcher pop back up and start to download the pre-patch files.
  • I've noticed it's a lot quieter in game now and most people in my guild are haven't been on for weeks. Also, the number of instances for Protector's Enclave is half of what it used to be or less.
  • It might depend on the severity of how much someone exploited, but a permanent ban does seem quite harsh in light of the other exploits that got 72 hour bans.
  • It doesn't help when the guild you're in, which has over 100 members, actually only has about 3 players on now a days at any given time. Most of the casuals have either quit or are taking a vacation.
  • They've done pre-patching for LoR expansion for STO also.
  • Oh, OK. That makes a lot more sense.
  • That's fine too if that's how it ends up but realize that once you're all decked out in t2 gear all other items you get are BOP. It would all get vendored and there would be less people joining dungeons. What's the use of doing the dungeons if there's no benefit for it? The spare items that gets sold on the AH is what…
  • BOP is not the answer because as you said, the economy is driven by sale of the epic items. BOP will end up as useless item to be vendored to NPC if everyone in the party doesn't actually need that amulet, ring, weapon, etc...
  • Once I read that the 3 classes were PERFECTLY balanced, I knew thread wasn't serious.
  • It seems that those banned all received the same email that said temporary suspension. Other emails for bans specifically stated 72 hour suspension or permanent ban or account closure.
  • Those that are asking about the "temporary suspension" times are asking in general terms how long is a suspension. They aren't asking for account details. Others have gotten 72 hour suspensions for far more severe exploits than someone being banned over exploiting the fusing a few times.
  • So, true. Some people made millions of AD from this exploit. Those unfortunate to have tried the fuse exploit that morning the ban was instituted, however slight their infraction, got banned/suspended while those other that did it REPEATEDLY the previous day/night & were left unscathed.
  • I've had mail from these expired auctions that I've been unable to delete no matter how many times I click to delete it.
