Correct me if I'm wrong, but since you will technically no longer be able to sell any lvl 60 epic gear/tier gear on the AH as of 6/20, id suggest lowering your "higher" buyouts to a more reasonable price.
Only reason I'm saying this is because for all of you who are charging quite a bit of AD for item (that I'm sure has its value/rarity, you will no longer be able to sell it on the AH for the price you want because of the new BoP feature. This means, after the new update, if you want to sell something your going to have to talk to a salvager to get around 5k-8k for a tier 2 pieces instead of your desired value. Maybe 1 or 2 gold also.
I personally had quite a few of the swashing buckling sets/avatar/ and stalwart helms to sell....from anywhere between 600k-1m. Just recently i dropped em down to about 1/4 of the cost and BOOM they sold fast. For me, thats great since now i don't have to wait and wait to make some ad b4 6/20. Id rather sell something now and get 200-400k instead of talking to a salvager and getting 7k a piece.
Just a heads up for anyone who wants their greed money. Id suggest selling them a little cheaper so you can make profit now instead of totally gimping yourself.
This is of course if I read the notes correctly. If not, disregard this post. Cheers!
You sir are correct. Most everything on the AH is ridiculously over priced and has been highly inflated since the start with the Founder's packs. A lot of that AD has been and is continuing to be diminished by all of the AD sinks in the game. Every purchase on the AH continually diminishes the amount of AD in the game, far out pacing the amount of AD being introduced into the game by players dailies, quests, invocations, Leadership missions, etc...

Which is good....since there's a tremendous amount of AD continually entering the game.
As large as the AD fee appears to be...it's still only about 10% per transaction.
There's 95%+ still remaining in circulation. (As not everything will sell & not everyone will sell their loot)
I don't think they will be implementing the BoP on all 60 items. I think they are going to do it in the way of Greed Bind on Equip, Need Bind on Pickup.

TL:DR - sell stuff cheap now, so I can buy it, stash it, and (since already looted items WILL NOT be affected by the Bind on Pickup rule), make a fortune selling them once the patch hits.
oh HAMSTER! some 1 trying to use there brain on the forums. Watch out peeps. FYI all the items that are already on the ah will still be BOE and still be able to sell for w/e price the owners set. Meaning no matter what price they set, eventually someone will buy them and make the seller some high ad.
L2 read notes you scrub! God i hate people like you who are trying to make those of us who are charging a HAMSTER ton for GOOD items lose money. GTFO ****!!
oh yea everyone disregard this thread cause the op is F**king stupid.

Me suspect he could read the notes just fine.
He's likely just attempting to acquire more gear to resell.
Which is hilarious as most of the population doesn't actually frequent the forums.

Where is this "tremendous" amount of AD that's continually entering the game? It takes considerable amount of AD for players to buy gear/items through the AH, far more than they can generate themselves (w/out trades/AH). Most players' AD was obtained from trades and auction house sales, of which the AD in circulation is from the Founders packs and AD dupes/exploits from people who didn't get caught. The most a single person can refine in one character is 24K per day. Assuming that a person has multiple characters, it still takes a considerable amount of time for that person to generate a good amount of AD from multiple toons.

You're wrong. People will still be able to sell the BoE items that remain, as the new system doesn't change the status of previously dropped equipment. Of course, that supply of BoE won't last very long.
Also, the last thing I read from the developers is that the proposed BoP update has been delayed due to user feedback, so they can consider the best implementation of any change they make.
It may be possible that there has been a further developer update I haven't read yet.

The primary result of this rather unintelligent idea (BoP) is that we'll see a drastic reduction of people doing Epic Dungeons. The chances of getting "the item" that you want in an Epic Dungeon is already slim, and extremely costly in both time, kits, and potions. If there is no other recompense (i.e. selling your purple items, I foresee that many will not consider DD's worth it.
Update to Proposed End Game Loot Changes
Hey everyone,
I wanted to let you all know what's going on with the proposed changes to end game loot.
A bit ago, we got a good deal of feedback that the current system of end game items being BoE can create a scenario where the best gear sets can be trivially purchased on the Auction House. This could potentially have the effect of cheapening the endgame experience of dungeon delves. We listened, took a look and agreed it wasn't unfolding as intended.
The proposed BoP changes that went up on Preview were our first crack at a solution. The idea was that by switching the best set gear to BoP it would be more prestigious. Adding the salvage vendor would continue to guarantee an important source of Astral Diamonds for high end bound items.
Once again, thanks to everyone who took the time to check them out and give us feedback. We got a lot of great comments both for and against the change which is exactly what we need from the community!
Your effort helped us to find several important issues:
With the current reward system, changing everything to BoP would make it prohibitively more difficult to complete your gear sets by running dungeons.
Loot drops, in their current state, can be exceptionally random, and the proposed changes would make that feel worse.
Getting the best slottable items for Companions that are a different class than your character would be extremely difficult.
While the proposed changes would fix one of the end game issues they would also create new ones that we aren't happy with and don't want to see on the live game. So these changes aren't going live yet. We still see an issue where the accomplishments of end game dungeon runners could be undermined by the ease of getting similar or equal gear through the Auction House, so we aren't done yet. We're taking all of your feedback and looking at new ways to solve what isn't working without hurting what is working.
A change like this is pretty huge, and we want to make sure we take the time to get it right. Please keep the feedback coming, it really does help us make a better game!
Pre patch set items do not stack with the set items from the new patch , so after the patch I advise you not to buy anything from the AH when it comes to filling holes in your set for example ^^

This has absolutely no weight to it when multiple dungeons, including the current end-game dungeon, are heavily exploited every single minute that the servers are up and they know about it and do nothing.
Want a pretty massive fix to the glut of end-game loot and a preservation of the spirit of dungeon runners without wiping the most used feature of the AH off the map? Make it so you can't do 3 to 4 Dracolich kills an hour, or 5 Daily Dungeon chests during an event timer.

Interesting. I wonder if that will carry over to live with the BoP on hold for now.
Comments
Current BoE equipment will remain BoE.
New Epic loot will be BoP. Thus killing the future supply.

items that were not BoP before (Pre-patch items), wont revert to BoP as far as I understood.
Smart move!
...NOT.

Forget that.
Mail it to me along with a 1 gold service fee & I shall personally make it disappear.....right back into the AH.
Exactly........
Did i miss something? Or i have i been pulled under a bridge by a green ugly monster?-__-

A shame how one change can so ruin the economy.

BoP was scrapped (or at least temporarily shelved)

Would be a great start.
