Everyone's known for sometime that leadership was the easy way to make AD. They've been doing small nerfs from time to time for a while. This change shouldn't be so surprising. The surprise is that they award AD at all. I expect we'll see a removal of AD from leadership entirely at some point in the future.
Remember that devs here are working on separate projects, and my not have communication with devs working on other projects. This means that various parts of the game will not necessarily 'make sense' when compared to other parts of the game. Nature of the beast with decentralized dev, and without coordination among teams.
All the endgame areas are a consistent grind. You'll *never* defeat all enemies in Sharandar, Dread Ring, IceWind Dale, or the new 'Elemental Cult' areas. There's no 'you're done' to be had. If you were done, you'd move on. You're not meant to move on. You're meant to stay here, every so slowly grinding tward better gear,…
The game is, simply put, a meaningless grind. You spend hundreds of hours for a meaningless improvement to what is, after all, a collections of 1s and 0s stored on some anonymous server.
Mod 7 will be new, and improved ;) Note, per the Devs, Mod 6 is absolutely WAI. So, I foresee no problems with building a new mod on top of the completely stable current codebase. Onward and Upward Cryptic!
There is *no* reason to do anything but Spinward Rise. The rest of the new 'Mod 6' content seems purpose built drive off the player base. Cryptic's efforts to increase stability by reducing server load are working.
One assumes that people *do* buy it. Here's the deal. Prior to Mod 6, the stats on the 'companion only' bits and bobs that came with packs were competitive. Not 'BIS' per-se, but not terrible. With the arrival of Mod 6, and the new companion only gear, the bits and bobs that came with the old 'bundles' were rendered far…
This poll is meaningless. Artifact Gear is the means by which Cryptic sells Blood Rubies to the public. Artifact Gear will continue to be released. Artifact chest, followed by head, arms and leg items will be released in lockstep with future Mods. Count on it. And.... start saving your money to pony up for the Blood Ruby…
Remember, the different dev groups at Cryptic are compartmentalized. So, the 20 gfx artists and devs working up new transmutes are totally separate from the 1 guy doing bug fixes. Meaning, don't get upset if you see more weapon transmutes before bug fixes.
Yes, but SWTOR was a game people wanted to play, and look going while doing so. Pop is falling here. Can't sell to non-existent players. So, they'll sell Rubies, and continue to nerf RP generation by other methods, till you do the right thing, and buy some Zen RP.
According to the devs, this is WAI. Pandarus mentioned that they may have scaled it back a little to far, but they did intentionally scale it back. Be good Cryptic software users. Buy Blood Ruby Packs.
It's *precious* that you think your comments here are worth more than the cold wind blowing over an icewind dale dev's rear. The only thing that gets attention here is: Will it generate more Zen sales. Nothing you wrote will generate enough additional zen sales to be worth it to Cryptic to take their few remaining devs off…
You've seen how things are run here. I'm trying to explain the base motivation behind some of the change. They want your money. I didn't say that they were going about parting you from it in a particularly efficient manner.
You're all assuming that Cryptic is ok with you get getting your Arti-gear 'to a meaningful level' for *free*. They are *not*. If you want meaningful gear, Cryptic wants their cut of your income. But, they're not complete bloodsuckers about it. They did, after all, give you 20% off Rubies week... Pony up for those Ruby…
Hrm. It seems that there is a general lack of understanding among the community at large. The Dragon Hoard enchant was added as an additional enticement to players, prompting purchase of the Dragonborn pack. It was never intended to be a major, long term method of obtaining RP. Cryptic's preferred method for player RP…
It's really dead simple. Cryptic is here to sell blood rubies. Period. Giving you lots of free rp from an enchant will not sell blood rubies. What is the community failing to understand here?
+1 QFT. Someone should get some t-shirts made up. You'd make a *killing*. Looking at you guys, Cryptic. Where's the physical merchandise? Caturday tshirts, and 'astral resonator' rear view mirror hangers would sell better than Blood Rubies ever have!
There is no longer a QA process from the design end. Patches go onto the test server < 24 hours from launch on the *live* server, eliminating any sort of user feedback on patches. Learn to like what's being put out, as is, bugs and all. Mod 6: Elemental Darwinism. Adapt, or die.
