For your title, make sure you've logged out of the forums. It requires a logout for your permissions to be set to the new group. So logout, then log back in, and your permissions should be set, assuming your account had the key applied on your Key page. You didn't say you did this in your other posts, so I figured I'd…
It does kind of suck. Just like the OP, I was working on the daily Skirmish quest, which required two run-throughs of the Straight to Helm skirmish. While finishing the first run, I leveled up, and the skirmish was no longer available.
I would hope that Cryptic isn't yet resorting to bans for things like this so much as suspensions. In any case, anyone who uses "this is beta" as an excuse is missing the point. Yes, it's open beta. But, in that case, if you discover an exploit, then your responsibility is to submit a bug report and bring it to the team's…
It's my hope that certain people will read this and learn something. Unlike some other MMOs, it is not up to the cleric to heal you in Neverwinter. The devoted cleric is not a traditional "healbot" class. DC healing can be thought of as damage mitigation. it helps restore health from small hits from adds, the inevitable…
Just FYI, the website used to obtain a code from the digital version of the magazine is no longer working. The only way to get these horses is from the physical magazine itself.
To expand on that, Companions can take gear. But only when "active." When idle, any gear on a companion is returned to your inventory. So, you can have a bunch of companions all at rank 30, but only three to five will ever be combat-ready at any time.
This has happened to me. The other recipes will show back up after the current task completes. It's a pain in the ***, for sure, and I'd hope it gets fixed soon.
This is how I've described it. "It's like TOR, but with the task times extended way too much so that spending AD to finish a task early seems like a good idea." The task times early on really ought to come down some. Luckily, once you get purple-quality assets, the times get much more manageable. The one thing I really…
This is going to be fairly difficult to pull off, considering Astral Diamonds started at their lowest possible value per zen. They're just now starting to become more valuable since the non-Founders have started playing. But the Exchange will not allow a transaction for more than 500 AD per zen. And this is why I have kept…
Right click on the mount in your bag and choose "Use" or whatever the option is. Or, simply drag it into your 6 slot on the bar. Then, you should be able to use it.
Technically, holy symbols would be in the form of an amulet or brooch. The kind of holy symbol we see in Neverwinter is wholly a game construct so that the cleric's implement is actually visible. As such, I don't think there are really hard and fast rules as to how they should be displayed when not in use.
"Assets" are reusable things. "Resources" are expended. Using Leadership as the example here, your Mercenary is an asset. He'll be returned to you once the task is complete. Other assets are armor, weapons and the like. Resources would be things like maps, porridge, and so on; these are used up by the task and are not…
OP's been here for months, continually bashing the game. This is not a brand new player confused with the game. It's a long-time dissatisfied forumite uselessly trying to bring awareness to the "issues" with the game. It hasn't worked in the past few months, and it's certainly not going to work now. You don't like the…
You can view the higher level tasks in your profession window and see the progression of assets. Using Mailsmithing as an example: Prospectors can be upgraded to Blacksmiths, and those can be upgraded to Assistant Mailsmiths. Mailsmiths can be upgraded to Master Mailsmiths, and Master Mailsmiths can be upgraded to…
The only one I know of apart from Cloak Tower (since I'm only 26 so far) is Cragmire Crypts. That's at the Blackdagger keep campfire area. You'll be able to do all of these at level 60, by the way. So, even if you miss one, it's not like you'll never see it again. Every dungeon has a level 60 version.
Check the AD vendor. I believe there's an axe there for whatever type of Fighter you are. I don't know what they look like, though. But, you can use the appearance on any weapon you might get later on, so you can keep using an axe.
You get power points and feat points. At 30, you'll be able to choose a Paragon path (though, they admittedly have only one per class right now). So, you can make your own spec all you want to within those boundaries. But, no. You can't just make a "Fighter" and do whatever you want with it. That's not how the game is set…
There's a vendor in the market that sells kits. You can also get some from the Adventurer's Helper pack you get as part of your Guardian pack. You only get one of those, though, so make sure you want to use it.
You know, I'd passed by that thing I don't know how many times. And, for some reason, I never looked behind it or heard the sound that these things give off. Thanks for the hint. Achievements complete.
My Man-at-arms seems to do more damage than my panther. :( At the very least, he's eager to jump in and actually fight things, which is more than I can say for the panther. This thing really needs to be looked at.
Yeah. Even in sustained battles, I end up doing all the work. At least judging by his animations, the cat will barely ever attack. It'll pounce in late, then swat lazily at the enemies. It just doesn't appear that it's doing much of anything.
The lack of gnomes is just one reason I'm really dreading starting to play the game right off. I want to make a trickster rogue, but I want it to be a gnome. I want to play a drow, but I want her to be a bard. I want to play a tiefling divine character, but I'm not sure the cleric is what I really want--she's supposed to…
I would assume that the Archer Ranger would be the first type of Ranger we'd see added to the game. Reason being that the majority of classes are already melee-based. Get too many people in there, and DCs are going to have a hell of a time trying to actually heal the right person. More than they do now, anyway.
