The forum admin chimed in on this earlier and said they would bring back the NPC for a short time, but he's tied to the event at the moment, and his code needs to be changed, which will take a patch.

I agree with you, all the botters have to do is alter a few lines of code and have the bots twiddle thumbs for a few minutes until they are in the clear. Deters real people from harvesting mats when they have nothing else to do, such as no guild members online, or waiting for a friend/spouse/queue, or just being too tired…

No blue dogs for me. :( I gained enough bones to buy five from the vendor. Not sure I'll ever want to spend AD to upgrade them seeing as how they aren't the greatest pets. Now that the patch is downloaded I'm almost certain the event is completely finished. That was an interesting distraction.

I can relate to how you feel, in many MMOs during limited time events I was the person who didn't get the special items due to RNG. I've tried different classes, same chance at drops it seems. Last portal on Coriol Street saw two rogues, including myself, killing all the mobs. Not a high number of drops. :(

I've been jumping in with a low level toon(26), you can be certain I'm not the one killing all the mobs yet I've acquired a ton of runes and a couple bags of bones. You might still want to run malwarebytes/spybot and a good anti-virus to check for anything. That email certainly seems like the types of scams plaguing MMO players for years.

That is the path they should have taken. If no one needs it for their character, let it go to greed so everyone has a chance to sell the item. That way people can still get gear they need while keeping the markets flowing and players running dungeons. Other games made it work that way and it worked great. If this change…

I had that error(invalid form of payment) when trying to use the quick checkout, that was a month ago. I had to log into my paypal account first and then use the link from the NW site and choose the long method and not the quick checkout. For some reason that mini window just doesn't seem to accept the user/pw.

According to the twitter page they have been brought down to address the AH exploit, they are estimating an hour down time. As with any MMO such estimates usually mean little.
