Hello everyone! I'm new to Neverwinter and had a couple of questions. I tried searching for them but nothing turned up for me, so please pardon if these have already been asked.

1.) When queuing for Skirmishes, does it automatically find you a group like and LFG tool or do you need to put one together and then queue?
2.) Can you learn all the Professions on one character? I'm curious because I have a Trickster Rogue and right now I just have Leadership and Leatherworking leveled a bit, but was curious if I can do the others as well.

Thanks for any and all help ahead of time! :)

    1) Yes, although you might get a lousy group.
    2) Yes

    Just to expand on #1:

You may form a party and then queue up as well. As long as the party members can all participate in the skirmish/dungeon (within the level restrictions) then you will automatically be placed into the same party.

So yes the queue system is a LFG tool but you can just use it as a way to expand your group, too. :)

Alright, thank you! :) I figure sometimes getting lousy groups are par for the course with LFG tools.

Personally I find that forming a group and THEN queuing for a skirmish or dungeon tends to work better. You don't have to wait for the system to try to find what it thinks are balanced party members, and you control who is or is not in your group

True, but I don't know a lot of people in game, so I'd be basically be doing the same thing by advertising in chat what I want.

Also, I think I've missed out on a Skirmish or two due to leveling and not knowing what they were, is it possible to go back and do them? I read you can do missed dungeons at 60, but they'll be the epic version.

Right now it isn't possible to complete skirmishes you missed from out leveling them. I remade a couple characters because I didn't know about the level cutoff and wanted the achievements. At early levels players level so fast they easily miss the skirmish in Blacklake which is required for an achievement and title. There were a few threads asking the devs if they could add epic skirmishes which would allow players to complete achievements. Hopefully they give the idea some thought.

Alright, I was afraid of that, so I guess I'm remaking her. XD

If you missed a skirmish and Cryptic turns it into a CTA, you get credit for the missed skirmish at any level by completing it as a CTA.

Maybe Blacklake will be a CTA after Battle for the Bridge (two weeks from now, check the calendar) and Aberrant Assault.

Unless you're Russian and playing on Drider, there's only one server - Dragon.

    Okay cool.
What class is the easiest to find groups with? and is there a shortage of X class?
If so, That is the one i will level.
P.S. i will just PvE. in all of the MMO games i have played.. PvP has bored me.

Clerics are always in high demand in PvE, but, unless you have a knack for the class, are one of the more difficult to play.
Control Wizards always have a place of honor in End Game Dungeons, but require the most skill to play well of any class.
Guardian Fighters can be a lot of fun and are hard to kill, but are slow as frozen molasses in winter and Level almost as slowly as they move. They really don't start to shine until late in the game and are not in high demand in most Dungeon Groups.
Trickster Rogues are fast advancing and fast killing, but are squishy and lack AoE options. Most Dungeon Groups want at least one of these because their massive single target damage is SOOOO useful against the Bosses.
Hunter Rangers are sort of the Wild Card at this point. You will hear equal parts "They are useless, please buff them!" and "They are O.P. please nerf them!". I've seen plenty of them (including my own) get stomped pretty easily (they are the single squishiest class in the entire game) but I have also seen the rare "Super Ranger" that just devastates almost everything. Hunter Rangers have the best Early Game powers and will just about wipe everything off the map for the first, maybe 30 levels. Then they have a harder and harder time as their lack of defenses start to show. Some Dungeon Groups love'em and some leave'em.
Great Weapons Fighters are heavy frontline fighters. They are not as durable as a Guardian Fighter, but are much more maneuverable and do more damage. A LOT more damage. They have the best blend of offence and defense of any character class and their "Tab" skill, Unstoppable, lives up to its name. I find them to be a lot of fun and very effective. They usually find a welcome home in most Dungeon Groups. Just be warned, there are a LOT of them out there, so you could still find yourself with a bit of a wait on your hands for your LFG to pop.
Of course, that's just one players' analysis. Your Mileage May Vary.

'Wen considered the nature of time and understood that the universe is, instant by instant, recreated anew. Therefore, he understood, there is in truth no past, only a memory of the past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. Therefore, he said, the only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.' Terry Pratchet The Thief Of Time

Best help post i have ever seen. Thank you and i am very glad the forum offers helpful information in this game.

I have been playing MMO's for over 10years and have always been a healer. I have lead the top raiders on my server for WoW, KotOR, and been in top raiding guilds for both of them. I am sure I will not be great at the first 30levels... but i am 100% sure I will be more than competent in playing any class, let alone a healing one.

Thank you jorifice1, and ambisinisterr for all your helpful information.

    See you ingame =)
    Sincerely
    Drgirlfriend
