whats ur thoughts on it - it looks promising unless they gate the crafting with zen only materials or assets like its for the current, existign ones.

Im really stoked, it sounds like a lot of fun, especially with the mystery potions, and secret recipes. A lot like Skyrim.

Yeah its promising - as long as we dont need zen assets like some "master alchemist" for 50% quality bonuses and such.
+ if a potion takes 12 hours to craft and lasts 30 minutes.. .well... idk.

Of course it will need $ items from the boosters... it will be mostly like the other crafts - basic stuff only - and the good recepies will require profession packs items -.-

The potions you already get as drops can be used in two ways. The primary way is they are used in experimentation. The experimentation task gives you an unstable potion (which has random effects) along with a chance of getting a new potion recipe and a basic alchemical knowledge item.

The other way is that some of the recipes you will unlock for potions will be for new potions that don't drop. For example a distilled health potion that along with doing the full healing of a healing potion of the same level, it also gives you some regen. This health potions require a standard health along with some crafting mats. There are also potions that increase multiple stats, but I don't know what is required to make them off the top of my head.

You can make every single item in alchemy without spending any money on booster. Without higher quality workers, it will just take long and without higher quality tools, you will just get less items from the rare tasks. So for example, with a batch of potions (a rare task), you will get 6 potions from the tier 1 result instead of 10 potions from the tier 3.

If you want more of them, yes. Tier 1 result is 2 dye packs, tier 2 is 4, and tier 3 is 6.

Nope. Amount is the only difference for tier results in alchemy. Unless there was a rare task I never saw.

Can anyone whose tried it on the test server, advise if Alchemy will, for instance, allow me to use lesser potions to make higher tier ones, or if it'll allow me to use bound potions and result in an unbound one?

Some of the higher recipe will require your conventional potions. Not all of them tho.
