I stopped using shield ages ago on my CW. My CW does more damage than any other class. However, this is due to the way dungeons are designed. The bulk of the encounters are hordes of trash monsters, so my AoE adds up in the millions without even trying. When the encounter size is about 2-4 (such as MotH)rather than 8+, a…
Let's say that there's some sort of balance between AD being introduced into the market via refining and how much AD is removed from the market due to 10% broker fee. If you screw with either, inflation or deflation will spin out of control. That would be bad. Very bad.
Quite true. I believe the D&D portion of WotC has not been very profitable for a while. Biggest reason is that they aren't aiming for the D&D audience much anymore. Just trying to cram D&D into mainstream formats. Which, at best, kills the spirit of D&D in the products, disappoints true fans, but makes them some cash.…
That is pure drama. Power trips = drama. Threatening tattling to papa or cryptic just because someone said something you don't like = drama. Instantly kicking people from the guild rather than asking them to stop first = drama. Be aware of this and watch out for it. Good advice.
Do people not realize that raising the refining limit is just going to increase prices in the AH? It's very simple economics. Let's say they doubled the refine limit. Yeah, sure, you'll burn your RAD pile down faster. But guess what, you'll have to pay twice as much for those items you wanted on the AH anyway. In the end,…
Well, you are right about it not really having much D&D spirit in it. So if that's what you're looking for, you'll be disappointed. On the flip side, it's pretty good gameplay-wise. So enjoy it for what it is or go pick up some old school games like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale.
I make sure to sell/salvage things that are just eating space. Works very well. Junk purples, blues, greens, odd rank 3 or lower enchants, pots lower than level 60, ect... I have 10 char slots and make sure of a few of them for extra storage.
Wow, just be glad you're not in that guild anymore. Drama mamma for the lose. As far as being banned, I doubt it. Just put her on ignore and go about your business. Find a guild that has 0 tolerance for drama like that... like mine.
GWF - Easiest to play and be bad but still not die instantly (you can level to 60 super easily). Hardest to be good. Impossible to be amazing because the class is nerfed hard core. GF - Another easy one to be bad with and not die instantly (you can level to 60 easily). Takes the right feat setup and gear but can be amazing…
The biggest problem is that many are only useful once every 60 seconds. And, unless that one use is amazingly awesome (soulforged) then the enchant is basically worthless. Enchants like lifedrinker, vorp, bronze, and plague are FULLY useful at all times, which is why they aren't garbage like the rest.
So they're going to do a little less damage than before? People are crying like they just lost their parents in here. In any case, about DAYUM time this fix comes in. I lost all faith after caturday and the nightmare incident. This is restored about 10% of it. Like others have said. The only thing wrong with this fix is…
Guys, they've always known GWFs exist. It's their favorite nerf dumping ground when they feel like nerfing something but don't have anything else lined up. Though it is the only "love"/attention GWF gets.
Companions, as they are, are a complete joke. It's augment or nothing at level 60. Companions get splatted way to fast to be worth anything. I couldn't even say if they do damage or not... they just die.
I'd gladly wager that out of the people who do have all rank 10s, the majority is either from an exploit (old AH bug or coal ward bug), or through botting. There are probably a few who spent hundreds of dollars and a few who have no life and farmed all day and night. But it's safe to say that the legit ones are far more…
The level complexity, combat-wise, is very similar to any other MMO out there. Having 20+ icons to mash for powers all over your screen is certainly not better by any means. There are many things to learn on your way to level 60. One of the key items being that the real game doesn't really start until 60. 99% of the…
It's luck of the draw, really. Sometimes, you'll get matched up against a similar team and it's pretty dang fun. However, you can also get matched up against a guild group that exploited AH or some such back in the day and are wearing perfect enchants and all rank 10s. Then you either leave or get instakilled for the…
Most certainly. These are delicious tears. However, it still doesn't make up for the damage the AH exploit or nightmare exploit caused. But, at least it's a step in the right direction. When banking on some new change/patch/shift/whatever, you always run a risk. Sometimes you lose.
Really, you could just put 1 point in every power and randomly assign feats/stats while leveling. The game, pre epic dungeons, is mind numbingly easy. Just respec once you hit 60 and you're good to go.
