Actually, in 5e at least, Liches are more powerful than demiliches. CR21 vs CR18. Though i agree they are far far too easy to beat whenever they show up in chult.

The restrictions about chat/trading etc, are sadly a necessary evil in F2P games to help combat bots as well as gold sellers who love to fill up our chat channels with their spam nonsense.
