  • Well that escalated quickly lol
  • > @"jana#2651" said: > I never asked for a frigging thing to be taken from anyone pherrow-moan. I was commenting on someones insulting for no reason comments on peoples playing abilities. Your the one with weak sauce thinking, who was talking about taking anything from you? I was saying nice makes things nicer which unless…
  • Gentlemen, Ladies..remember the time when they let lvl 5s into randoms so scaled endgame players could carry them all on their backs so cryptic could keep new players? Ah, how I loved helping cryptic's bottom line $$$ one mighty lvl 5 player at a time...watchin' them, so green, just swinging away at mobs that had already…
  • Your logic here makes no sense to me (and I'm not trying to be rude in this case). It is on Cryptic. People try to put their trust in Cryptic and likewise, Cryptic pushes propaganda to to steal the communities trust as often as they can, (instead of gaining it through actions). The telling part of what I am about to get at…
  • All this weaksauce type of thinking is what has made people weak and sensitive in the world. That's why the have-nots cry so much in hopes that things they do not have can be taken away from the people who have it (and worked for it).
  • History repeats itself yet again. Cryptic dishes out a glimmer of hope with feigned sincerity and people start forming a line behind that carrot of hope and march along. I'm sure cryptic didn't mean to make the BoA overpowered to entice people to power through that grind or anything. Yes cryptic, we believe you THIS time.…
  • Well I'll say a bit more although it won't contribute usefully to the thread. Many people have felt the pain over the years, it's certainly not exclusive to current times and just "hated" tanks. Mod 6 and perma bubble is why I made a Pali tank. Archers in bs content 1 shot your face. Needed a broken class to get regular…
  • The real tanks, healers, those weird Bard things and dps'ers have long since learned to play and have made their game what they want. If they post here it's usually suggestions minus the whine. ( However, I feel that suggestions and/or whining lands on deaf ears equally) L2p seems to be YOUR next move truthfully. If you…
  • When I tank I keep it moving so people don't have to wait. And I like my trash mobs neat and organized. Don't care much other wise. Someone dies, they die. When I dps I run ahead cause I don't like to wait for tanks that are slow...or need validation and want to feel appreciated for little trash mobs. If I die I die. When…
  • It amazes me how folks continue to fall for these feelgood tactics. Cryptic dangles a little carrot of hope and people form a line behind it. How did that CDP pan out anyways?
  • An actual productive showing of discourse here. Nice.
  • > @tommynocker001 said: > On that basis you expect people to accept you into their guild and carry you to victory, so you can grab the spoils of war. Not so much grinding as freeloading by your own criteria. the point is that unless you use this option, there is no way to step up to the next level and become applicable for…
  • > @tommynocker001 said: > I've been playing this game for years and I've done many, many dungeons, grinding and playing my role as best I can. I suppose that's just not enough grind for you then. X) No. The game has specific rewards for the particular grind that you do. If I grind ToMM, I would expect to get that weapon…
  • Without reading this thread fully ima add my take anyways. I have the mirage and none of my toons possess the the lion heart nor zariel set. Even tho I didn't like the fix to mirage set previously I felt and agreed with the lionheart and zariel set being better than mirage in most cases because I understand the work it…
  • Yes, awesome fixes. I can say for me, the typo corrections sit near the top of the awesomesauce pile. Right after the companion fixes. Can't wait til they offer some of the now prefferred "working" companions in a Zen store bundle right before they fix those too \o/
  • Although I am a fan of throwing shade at the changes the team makes, I will say that I can get behind this if enough items in a few different categories can be unbound. I can't say I've thought about it enough to predict the full implications of such a change but on its face...I like it. Rare but I like it.
  • Heyyyy, thanks for all the wondeful changes. I appreciate investing in companions and waiting for you guys to smash them. I know I know, they were "fixed" after being broken for so long. Anything else broken out there that we might not know about that will be fixed after a year or so? Nevermind, forgot you like to leave…
  • Since it will be crazy long before a new class is dropped again, I put one in the hat for a monk as well. Also, if the monk is added I would like the ability to beat the brakes off of neverwinter commoners. Long overdue those plebs learn some respect. Pvp should be permitted in the tavern after an amount of drunken potions…
in New Class Comment by pherrow August 2021
  • The recent posts by Mushellka, Rockster, and Armadeonx illustrate perfectly what the game has become and it's my biggest gripe. It's too easy and new players are given too big of a crutch. Learn to play IS a thing. No matter the class, what you doindividually IS important for the team's success. Especially in more…
  • Actually, thats probably too harsh as you are just trying to find fun in the game like anyone else. Yes the situation sucks and cryptic needs to do better. I don't think your suggestion is the fix, however.
  • Getting into dungeons is one thing, Being able to complete the content as a new player is another thing entirely. So you think people will just be like "damn, I can't que with my friends. Might as well just que in and carry new players"? I think those folks will quit instead. Or whatever content that remains outside of…
  • Also, and this may hurt you inside a little but life is not always fair. Annnnnd, that's ok.
  • My point is even more simple. They allow it, they designed it... whatever advantage it gives is irrelevant. It's not cheating. You don't have to like it nor does it have to make sense for it to NOT BE CHEATING.
  • I actually don't care for them(keybinds). And to me in some cases, it does feel like a cheat (to me). And in any circumstance, the bard discusts me. But it's good they made the bard as some people are really excited about it. I think it's good they allow keybinds as it may enrich people's enjoyment for various reasons. I…
  • Sure they did ( and that's if I even understand what the hell you're even saying at this point). If you've been paying attention you would see they have a trend of making things enticing to as many people as possible, especially up front. Some people will enjoy the more complicated playstyle and that's fine but what about…
  • Using your analogy, the sky is not the limit....the key binds are the speed limit. You may be able to do more but what's permissible has been set.
