Put 506,250 AD on the exchange before the last time I logged out. Exchange is now disabled, the amount I have on me wasn't rolled back....so? edit: A friend's character that he hasn't played for days is missing completely.
Hm, that's a bit HAMSTER, I remember them saying a while ago that you could make anything the devs could make in the foundry!
The problem is that if all spells are extremely effective control spells then they need to do less damage to be balanced, which means solo play would be a nightmare of very slow damage.
You mean Tai Chi, a purely ceremonial sword art which is utterly useless in combat. edit: it's a really stupid animation though, really is, it looks like some daft anime sign, I swear my friend's control wizard looks like something out of sailor moon (one of the HAMSTER sailor scouts, because he…
I can't see why it's impossible though! A halfspear or Halberd is a suitable 1 handed weapon, the chief concern I suppose is that it will look silly to swing a spear like you would a sword...it's very common in MMOs for weapons to be wielded with identical animations to the point of silliness...swinging rapiers and spears,…
Is that because "oh man, there'll be so many Drizzt clones!"? edit: Because it won't happen, MMO gamers are more interested in power gaming than playing Drizzt, seriously. whichever class and race is "best" or most fun will be the most common. You can see this in DDO, there's drow in that but you hardly ever see them.
From what I've seen of Beta footage: You get at least (by level 30) 6 encounter powers, 5 at will powers and 3 Daily powers. You get to pick feats and pick your base ability scores and then you get to pick your paragon path and the details of that. There's not as much choice as in DDO, but there seems to be more choice…
People expected this in DDO too, the odd thing is that people were more interested in powergaming than being Drizzt, Drow Ranger is not a popular mix in DDO. I've seen barely any Drizzts in that game, I saw a Drow Wizard named Drizzt once I guess but maybe that was a typo of Drizzard?
Usually, I would expect 2 or 3 animations for each attack which are switched out dynamically if the attack is repeated. Even WoW has multiple animations for it's base autoattacks for the most part. It all just looks very repetitive in Neverwinter. Maybe even take a page from DDO, those attacks don't look great but there's…
I'm going to be honest. From every MMO Beta I've ever seen/been involved in, only one has ever gotten better animations between beta and release....that was Tabula Rasa, and we all saw how that worked out. I think those animations are indeed /done/
Why has nobody mentioned that the attack animations are really atrocious? Especially in that devoted cleric trailer that draw a magic holy spear and throw it repeat loop is goddamn disgusting.
Personally I think it's madness to pay $200 for a game you've never tried. I'm not too bothered about not being able to buy into the beta (I've elected not to as I'm busy for at least one of the weekends)...I'm just worried for the people who put down $200 for a game that might suck balls.
I guess the plan was to try and get as many people as possible to put down the price of a full price game for a free to play game without ever trying it. I honestly have to wonder how many people would pay $60 for as f2p game they've never tried before. Much less $200.
This isn't RMT. If Zen is only obtainable by paying money, this is gifting someone some ingame currency, that's VERY different, it's not even the same as giving someone an ingame item. I like it, DDO kind of suffers from me not being able to securely buy Turbine points for friends.
