  • There's no way, no how is the one-shot ledgekilling of half a room an intended effect.
  • You're pretty much what's wrong with all MMO's.
  • You can take any armor set, then take this armor set you like and put it where the dye bottle goes and transmute it. It's costly for the purple gear but it's a great way to fine-tune your look while simultaneously getting the ultimate stats you want.
  • A Sentinel GFW specced with the defensive feats and armor that has defense, deflect and life steal is next to indestructible. The first levels without the healer companion you have to keep popping potions to get your health back up but it's by no means bad. A pure DPS spec GWF I've never tried leveling, and that's probably…
  • Well, that's obviously not true, but the GF is in my view a hard class to play when it gets really tough. The normal leveling up experience in my view is a doddle, you barely need to use the shield and you go through the mobs like a hot knife through butter, but it's a lot harder in a dungeon with tons of add spam. But one…
  • The only way to get trade out of zone is to a) automatically have the game put in a Trade tab in the chat window for all players (which people could then change or remove, just like all the existing ones) and b) totally prohibit linking in objects into Zone chat, ie shift-click some item and it simply wouldn't be allowed…
  • Just as long as the big bugs get fixed. The obvious shortcuts that are broken would be good, and a huge one is the cheat mechanic where you can run through everything to get to the next fire, then die at that fire. That fire shouldn't register as a respawn point until after you've been near it for several seconds and not…
  • There are better options for DPS than the GF, so I don't see why anyone would create a DPS GF. I mean, except enjoying playing one perhaps. But as I said, the issue isn't the main questline and leveling, that's a doddle with just about any character. I just find the shield mechanic extremely difficult to use effectively in…
  • I thought about posting this thread myself, but we'll see how it develops. I came in after first making a GWF Sentinel and getting him to level 60, and there was literally no time from level 1-60, even in dungeons, when the GWF didn't feal like a beast. Tough all the time, not just behind a shield, and laying down AoE like…
  • Shortcuts and alternative routes would be fantastic. I'd be completely in favor of them. Some could be harder than others, some could be easier, some could be downright dead ends where you're tiptoeing along and suddenly the entire floor gives way and kills your entire party or part of it. There is an infinite number of…
  • Bravo, sir (or madam). Bravo. The objective of a game is to have fun playing the game and beating the game. Not exploiting the heck out of every hole you can find so you can maximize the looting speed. Unfortunately, it seems like the people who spend the most time playing have that nutty minmaxer mentality where the…
  • Yeah the game has a real major issue with exploits and shortcuts. It's game-breaking in some ways, even, unbalances classes when some can do "unexpected" stuff that effectively ramps their power up to near-godhood. CW (and other classes, DC can do similar stuff in smaller scale) clearing stuff by tossing it down holes and…
  • Yeah I too think the GWF is so underwhelmingly liked for Epics is simply that the other classes bring the exploits or near-exploits. Doing the boss fight in CN now all you hear is "Without two CW's spamming the singularities and pushes, don't even bother". Well, once you mandate two CW's, there literally is nowhere to put…
  • Hey, some of us like to create a specific look, so it helps a lot to find out what gear actually looks like before you buy since the gear preview in the game literally doesn't exist.
  • Please don't apologize. This is an exemplary post. Thank you! Why post some confused blur where you can barely make out a shield when you can post a full armor set in great detail and in full light and not in the shadow so people can see what they're looking at? Good work.
  • Why would anyone take pictures in the shade or semi-darkness? Don't get it. Also, picture size... if you put up an image it is possible to crop out the needless stuff on the sides if the picture turns out tiny and with tons of wasted space. Any free image viewer even worth its name can do that. I really want to see all…
  • Really, these patch note threads should just be read only. You get so many people spamming so much nonsense. Glad to see the Pirate King is once again reachable, and for people who like that kind of thing from a RP point of view it's nice that the personal history doesn't just vanish. Doing away with spawn camping in PvP…
  • Yuan-ti, Batiri, Snake-dogs and dinosaurs.
  • As it stands, to even get to do epic dungeons in the first place (outside of PUG) you have to be of a specific class and using specific exploit game mechanics... so yeah a little work there too wouldn't be a bad thing.
  • It is pretty stunning. These aren't minor cosmetic blemishes, we're talking serious show-stopper bugs that should have been addressed within hours of the patch release just the way they addressed that massive issue with keymaps that destroyed the game for everyone not in the US.
  • The problem with this game (and every other game that is working on the basis of insane greed for stuff and showing stuff off) is that the guilds that have people in them are focused only on that. I swear, most of those people don't enjoy the game as such in the slightest, they talk about dungeon runs like they are going…
  • This is not the place to bring it up, either way. These are the user forums. You need to contact the actual bona-fide support for help, the way their message clearly states. Besides, if your entire computer is hacked and under someone else's control, you may have far bigger issues than issues with the game. EIther way,…

  • Yeah the most desirable outcome of the PvE and PvP phases is to win, but if you lose it's no big deal. Getting the T1 dungeon is more desirable than the T2 - the T1 can, like so many other ineptly designed dungeons in Neverwinter, be speedrun and exploited so you can do it X amount of times with ease. The T2, meanwhile,…
  • It's actually the "Ice Axe" and it's identical to the Sharpened Ice Axe, so there appears to be a whopping two axe variants visually speaking - Greataxe of Anger and the Ice Axe.
  • Great initiative, thanks. Next time though stand your character in the sun and face away from it and shoot the picture outside the preview window, it's severely broken in that the sun rotates so it's always shining on the front of the character. Makes it next to impossible to see what anything will look like from the rear.
  • Yeah but it's not supposed to be that efficient. It's supposed to take some effort to burn down the mobs. One-shotting them isn't efficient, it's pretty much exploit territory. The GWF has no such "efficient" one-shot tactic because they don't have a singularity hoover that can drop half a roomful down the hole, and as a…
  • What axe is that in the latter pics? The lack of axes for the GWF is a frickin scandal if you ask me. :)
  • Yeah at the moment it feels like the GWF class needs a big red sign on it before you pick it, "Warning: nobody will want you in a team once you hit 60 and want to do epics!" I love the class and enjoy playing it, but it would be nice to not just hear crickets when it's time to group. Doing something about the CW…
  • I disagree. Ledge pushing isn't an intended tactic, from what I gather. Cryptic didn't intend to turn the CW into a ledge showing machine, but it turns out they are. Powerplaying teams will therefore insist on ledge pushing, and that will happen as long as ledge pushing gives a huge advantage. There's a reason why…
  • It's not about not getting bragging rights. I have quite a bit I can flash around if I feel so inclined. Mostly I just find some of the mounts annoying, and it looks preposterous when you have 15 giant mounts in a huge wad around the vendor. But yeah, to whoever did the sound design for the torturous noisy howlers, may I…
