Hey I have a suggestion and I want the community to help me out or if you agree with me post bellow.

So I have noticed that zone chat gets spammed on allot and its mostly with trades. Now I am a low level character and I dont care for nor can I afford what they are selling so here is my idea.
  1. A option to disable zone chat or slow down how often people can spam the same or a similar sentence.
  2. A possible trade chat channel so that people who want to trade can go into that channel and talk about Trade stuff.

please post bellow to have your opinion on my idea.

A trade channel already exists. Use /channel_join trade

You can /ignore people you don't want to hear in zone. If you see someone advertising RMTs, use the 'report spam' function on them.

You can turn off zone in chat options. Just click on the little gear thingy on the chat window and the options open up all magical like. Using eyes help.

I'm pretty sure it says somewhere that Zone chat is specifically for trying to sell stuff, LFG BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO QUEUE, and gold spammers. I turn it on for a couple minutes to try and answer legitimate questions, and then quickly turn it off again before rage overwhelms.

The only way to get trade out of zone is to a) automatically have the game put in a Trade tab in the chat window for all players (which people could then change or remove, just like all the existing ones) and b) totally prohibit linking in objects into Zone chat, ie shift-click some item and it simply wouldn't be allowed in zone.

That would drive most of the trade chat to the trade channel, where it would of course be allowed.
