I still play NWN2 on Baldur's Gate Swordcoast Chronicles server, it is still alive :-). I like Neverwinter better than DDO although DDO was more authentic. Neverwinter Nights 2 brings back good memories (I also played 1 a long time). I can only hope that there will be a Neverwinter Nights 3 in the future.. Part of me hopes…
it definitely works! it is just that many people I met ingame refuse to use that method at all, I guess they are too used to the "usual" way. also GWFs seem to be slowly returning so that may help for the add control bigtime.
gameplay mechanics aside, I do agree with the OP. I kind of picked a GF because I wanted to be that little stout hero with a big *** shield warding off smelly and fiery dragonbreath as I stand toe to to with him, while others bring the mighty beast down. Nothing of that in Neverwinter, as every bossfight is designed around…
I agree! I am aware that MMOs require some form of time management from the player, they need to spend time to level and gear, they need to make time for raids or whatnot. With Neverwinter it is waiting for events, but it is getting worse with Gauntlygrym now on a timer as well after dungeon delves. I would much rather…
Actually, this game was intended to be released as an (action?) RPG without any MMO elements yes, you'd group up with some people and were able to pick from 5 characters (I guess that is why we got 5 classes now) if memory serves. It was only later it was decided to make a MMO out of Neverwinter; While I have no current…
agreed, there are many issues with the game, but the fact that each boss is exactly the same fight in its core is starting to be rather tedious. (no, that tentacle in dread vault does not count)
While I do like the idea of a new hub, I rather have new adventure zones or new zones in Neverwinter, the game is called Neverwinter, after all, so I am not sure if running around in Baldur's Gate is a feasible thing, as cool as the thought is.
looks pretty popular to me, then again that's coming from a site saying GW2 is number 1, because that game is doing so flawlessly well right? (did they fix class balance there yet for dungeons? ironically last time I read about it all groups have only Guardians and Fighters... sounds almost like an antithesis for this game)
ok thanks for the responses. starting to think keeping aggro off the cleric isnt a bad idea for some fights myself so I will play around with that, but as mythrildragon said, doing both the boss and adds does not help for tanking as well as the aoe the dps will have to deal with so I guess I need to pick one or the other…
I'd say Queueing, I am not sure what the intention is of Cryptic, but I tried Wolf's Den for the first time as a Guardian Fighter today, I got in with 2 Trickster Rogues, 1 Control wizard and 1 Great Weapon Fighter, where was the cleric? We were struggling at the last boss of the dungeon and many concluded it was not…
Greetings, I was a passionate player of Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 for many years. While I am aware Neverwinter has no real affiliation other than its setting, I do long to return to the Forgotten Realms, even moreso in a current-generation MMO setting. There are hundreds of MMOs out there, and I feel this one has a…
