They fixed it, eh? Ok, I'll try it again. I do currently have the Hunting Hawk. I also have the Manticore, Owl, Lightfoot Thief, and the aforementioned Quasit. I have a Sellsword and a handful of other "dormant" companions. I also plan to get Air and Fire Archons (and swap out two others, probably the Manticore and Thief).

Yes, you can do that. I have transmuted Item A with X to look like X, and then later Item B with A and it still looks like X -- I've done that on different characters, many times. As a relatively new player, someone who doesn't have 11k Item Level yet on either of my two L70 characters, and can't run Random Epic Dungeons, I will be thankful to have the return of the Stronghold "Random Dungeon" daily mission. I liked being able to contribute a little bit to my Stronghold each day. Thanks for that!
