New NW player here. At some point I bumped into the guy in Protector's Enclave who gave out Dungeon Keys, and I learned I need to go to him prior to running a dungeon. Since then, I go on a dungeon run about once every other day or so (I like the Pirate Lair and Cloak Towers best so far). Each day the runs give me about 8k rough AD. That's great! Yesterday, for the first time, I played with some RL friends (instead of in-game rando PUGs). The four of us ran two dungeons. We all had keys we'd got some time before, and then got another for the same day. No problem.
But we were having a great time, and decided to run another (third) dungeon. Go to get another key, oh, it costs AD now... Huh... Ok, so spent 2500 AD to get 8000 AD. Strange, but why not, still come out ahead with 5.5k AD...
But then after that third run, we didn't get any AD.
Is that normal? Or did we do something wrong?
I noticed, too, that I can't save up keys throughout the week to use on the weekend (when I have more time to run with friends). Why the limit on dungeon runs?
I got VIP which gives me Epic Keys, but I can't use these, not strong enough for the Epic dungeons yet... but those at least pile up, so that's good, I guess... ?

Also ghost stories is not a dungeon, its a daily mission part of tyranny of dragons / wod campaign
And they limit how much rough AD is given out AND how much you can refine each day? Double-time gates? Ugh.
In short, don't pay 2.5K AD for that key. Just do the run without the key (if you don't have the key).
You get your AD after you killed the last boss. Not when you open the chest.
And, in mod 12b, that will be changed but that is a totally different topic.
I do recommend having a damage dealer and a support character like a DC or tank because support classes are needed in a bad way for most end game content!!!
@Plasticbat - What do you mean "...in mod 12b, that will be changed..."?
@reg1981 - Ah, yes, the Alt Game. Having played Cryptic's Star Trek Online for years, I'm well aware of that as an option (and now already see how to transfer Dilithium, er, uhm, Astral Diamonds between characters). Dunno that I'll be placing that much time into Neverwinter. Right now just taking it very casual, and playing with friends who had already played NW and finally got me to try it out.
They're very casual too though, so they didn't know how the AD/Dungeon key thing worked, so posted here. Ok thanks all!
Also, you need read page 13 because certain thing was amended.
In addition, that may not be final but it probably is .....
