  • Which is why one should never play hardcore during a closed beta. All you end up doing is burn yourself out shortly after open beta/live. Until then, just wait for Gauntlgrym and Module1. I'm personally looking forward to the new paragon paths that's supposed to be included in Gauntlgrym update.

  • Thankfully, they finally fixed it so that the AD cost goes down as you near completion. It used to be that even if you had 1 minute remaining, you still pay the full duration AD price.
  • Reign of Misrule and Feast of the Moon.
  • "Stat Ratings" are your Power, Recovery, Deflection, Regeneration, etc. And as the description says, those stat ratings are increased by 1/2/3%. Also note that while you don't have the Prestidigitation buff icon like your party members do, you're still getting the increased stat ratings. Anyways, some say that it isn't all…
  • I use RoE for solo leveling since it really speeds up killing those tougher than usual mobs, like those giant devils in Helm's Hold, for example. It just takes a little getting used to, switching my tab power back and forth between RoE and Chill Strike, depending on whether I need AoE or not. I have both spells slotted…
  • You need to take a look at the player's handbook. Wizards are Controllers period. Maybe what you're referring to is the War Wizard kind of Wizards which focuses on dps more so than the Control Wizard. In either case, both War Wizards and Control Wizards are considered Controllers. Just like how a Great Weapon Fighter and…
  • I hope that giving us a Paragon respec should also mean a Power respec and a Feat respec since some of our powers come from our paragon, and some of our feats affect said powers. Speaking of which, they're gonna have to change Chilling Cold, Destructive Wizardry and Unrestrained Chaos since those feats affect Spellstorm…

  • OP needs to change his post since I'm guessing, this is mainly a Repel/Ice Storm gripe. I never use Repel and I only use Ice Storm for boss dps (the ones with no adds) since I don't have Ice Knife yet. What I do enjoy doing is using Singularity -> Teleport to the middle -> pop Shield -> Singularity pulls them all back in…

  • What I did notice was that the 2x AD event during the weekend did not count if you claim it via gateway. I was logged in the game at the same time and had two Protect Caravan tasks completed. I claimed the first one in game and got 400 rough AD as expected. I then claimed the other one on gateway and only got 200 AD.
  • I thought that the vampire Manshoon clone went back to take control of the Zentarim?
  • Just note that Scourge Warlocks are classified as Strikers which means they focus on single dps like Trickster Rogues do. War Wizards (which are still Controllers) are of the AoE dps kind. Cryptic really needs to hurry up and bring out a couple more classes and at least 1 more Paragon path for each class. The sooner we see…
  • I know right. Our tree right now looks like it would fit War Wizards more than Control Wizards; so many damage boosting feats.
  • I currently have 5 points in the Oppressor tree, but I'm kinda regretting it now. Glacial Movement is the only feat I'm interested in. I wish there were a lot more other CC-related feats like increasing Chill duration, or improving our non-Frost powers, such as Singularity, Repel, Shield, Oppressive Force. Chill is kinda…
  • I'm glad that I'm not the only CW who is sick and tired of having other CWs tab-Repel mobs in the middle of my Singularity, before they even get pulled in. Seriously, get a clue. Use Conduit of Ice or something. Or at least Repel them after Singularity pops so the mobs get pushed away as an entire group, or what's left of…
  • Don't confuse 4e with Neverwinter's version of 4e. Neverwinter has streamlined and simplified 4e so that it fits modern day MMORPGs. Though truth be told, a person completely new to D&D (and not just 4e) will be blown by the sheer complexity of the game if Neverwinter was closer to 4e (I'm talking about feats, skills, how…
  • But still, most of those "needed" items are vendor trash. And unless you're willing to waste ID scrolls on it, they're dirt cheap. Do a few copper/silver coins really worth that much to people that they're going to screw over others who might actually use those gear? I just find it silly. My bag space would fill up if I…
  • I agree with it being an age old problem, though I cannot fathom how it managed to be a problem for this long seeing as WoW (among other mmos) has had it for years. If your class cannot wear it then you cannot press the Need button. Simple as that.
  • Ravel, Berellip, Brack'thal, Saribel, Zeerith.
  • Shadowdale Mistledale Archendale Scardale Harrowdale Deepingdale Daggerdale was the second that came to mind, but I hear bad things associated with that name (oh the horrors)!
  • Jewel of the North, I've known for a long time. City of Skilled Hands, I'm hearing for the first time.
  • Funny story. I have a friend in WoW who we tried get him playing, but got bored after level 60+, where he promptly quit. Several months later, I see him online as a level 1 character on another server, okay no big deal. Then a few weeks later, I got to talk to him and he said he got an e-mail from Blizzard saying that his…
  • Uhm, I still don't think WoW is "Freemium". In the olden days when subscription with zero cash shops was the only model, it was pretty common to have what they termed "free trials" that lets you play up to a wall (usually level cap, gold cap, trade restriction, bank restriction, chat restriction etc.) before requiring you…
  • Guild Wars 2. Despite whatever personal feelings you might have towards it, you would have to admit that it has done well for a b2p game. It's cash shop has stayed true to the cosmetics only idea. And even though you could technically buy Gems (cash shop points) with real money and convert it into gold, for whatever…
  • Well, one thing I liked in Neverwinter that TERA doesn't have (at least I didn't see while making a 34 mystic and 30 sorc) is ground-targetted AoEs. Granted the targetting system here doesn't give you the luxury of precisely aiming that giant circle on the ground, without wasting a lot of time, but at least it's better…
