Hi Pitshade, I am on console (Xbox), not PC as well. Like I said, I started playing about the time Undermountain hit and at that time, the older members in the guild took us newbies through and told us that was the way to do it to make sure the skill node did not disappear. I know it worked for us then in the areas at the…
Pitshade is it possible that it is different on different systems? Or perhaps it is different if you are grouped? I tried this evening with a friend at a skill node at Neverdeath (arcane node). He, being a wizard, opened the node and removed the pearl, leaving the grimoire. I used a kit (or 3 as 2 broke), opened the node…
Wow. Do not know how you are getting this from my post. I never used the word hatred. I did get insulted, if you read my post. It was not an assumption and it was not about agreeing or disagreeing. I am sorry you are so angry and sorry you do not have fun in the game anymore. But that is not my fault. I did not call YOU a…
I did not post to try and stir up so much anger and negativity. I did not post to tell people they have to play "my way" as I do not have a way-- just a mindset. However, what I hear is a lot of me, me, me. "I do not have patience"... etc. That is fine. Sit in corners and wait for timers to run down. Be inconsiderate of…
Thank you for letting me know that. I was taught that if you leave 1 item in a skill node it totally resets for the next player, same as the chests in in the Undermountain dungeon quests. And that chests elsewhere reset only when ALL items are taken. If this is no longer true, then I will certainly stop.
I do not think you could leave that new player behind to die (or be kicked) anymore than I could. And I do not think you would, after rushing through killing everything before the others could even get there, comment to the others that they need to "Get Good". That, to me, is the sign of ego, not a need to be efficient.
They added a support quest-- kill 3 of those Heralds. Problem is, the spawn time of the heralds is random and they are difficult (for me at least) to kill by myself. Killing 3 before they take off is difficult at best. If you are lucky and you go to Well of Dragons and there is a crowd and the Heralds land just when you…
Very good summary avadarius! I would add that All the HE may drop specialty black ice. The minor ones do not seem to anymore (those recommending 3+ participants when you go to them). The ones recommending 5+ sometimes do. At least that has been my experience. I am also concerned because, in order to help new players along,…
Just a suggestion-- since the events can only be done once per day per account for the appointment event currency, why not make the currency account-wide. This would help resolve some of the confusion with these appointment events. Since the Burrow Dawn Inn is not about the appointment events, it should be accessible by…
I am having the same issue on Xbox. Had I realized that, I would have used the character who still has Tokens of Achievement from past events. He cannot even visit the vendor because that vendor is in Burrow Dawn Inn. Scratch the part about the vendor-- just realized that they added a vendor in Protector's Enclave…
Yes, the end chests contain ice. However, ice used to drop in Kessel's with every battle. I do not know whether the end chest ice counts towards the daily quest or not because I do not usually run Kessel's except as a random skirmish and always want the quest finished right away, LOL.
Black ice no longer drops in Kessel's Retreat either. I have run the queue several times with different characters-- it is part of the end chest but does not drop. Not sure if the end chest counts towards the reputation quest or not as Biggrin's Tomb end chest ice does not. Thank you Nitocris83. I would appreciate knowing.
The heroics drop the necessary components to craft black ice overload enchantments which can be useful, especially to players not in end game. Yes, as you get more powerful some of the rewards seem trivial, but for some players, Icewind Dale is still fun. I like getting black ice because you can make your own overloads as…
You have to do at least one heroic to finish the quest as well. You used to get SOME ice with that and then had to mine some or do more heroics. The heroics are a little more gratifying than mining the ice. I did mention in my post that you can still mine ice to fulfill the quest. You are incorrect about the "No fighting…
I found that, when I used the keyboard workaround one time, it listed all impacted lair chests as fixed. I think that if you have tried to run a lair in Well of Dragons and gotten an incomplete quest, it makes all lairs unable to be completed. Of course, if you use the keyboard workaround (NOT a FIX mind you), then do…
I also had same problem on Xbox. I purchased all books yesterday for one of my characters. All showed up except the Alchemy recipes. Plus, had all the books previously on my paladin. Then, bought the masterwork alchemy recipes when changes came through. The Chultan Alchemy recipes then disappeared from his recipe list.
OK. I just got another clue. I was playing my Rogue. She had previously gone to Well of Dragons for her initial rounds and was not able to complete Sacrificial Victims due to previously reported bug. Then, she went to Dread Ring and was unable to complete the lair quest. That was last weekend. TODAY, I took her to Dread…
I agree. You should not need a keyboard just to get through broken stuff. However, my husband managed to have one tucked away and I tried this morning and it did work. I typed in the 1 while the empty chest screen was open and it did indeed work. Thank you to all that posted this. At least my characters can now get to day…
Thank you so much. Someone else told me this and I had to find a usb keyboard. Tried it this morning and it worked. Wish you could play the game with just an xbox though...
I do not have a USB keyboard either. Smartglass only allows me to type in chat window and store search boxes. Dungeon still will not complete. I will see if my husband has a usb keyboard tucked away somewhere LOL.
On Xbox... I was changing out bags tonight (I bought a new bag from the zen store-- bag changing needs addressing too) and when I mailed my insignias to myself they were stacked. Grabbed them back and "Inventory Full" pops up. Tried putting them into my vault and removing. No luck. They will not restack. So now I need 3…
As an addendum, I just ran my barbarian character through Dread Ring. She also chose Phantasmal Fortress for her lair. She is an older character and has completed the campaign. This time the lair completed properly. So, it may be random or it may be a problem with characters created after a specific time?
