  • Yes, the bug needs to have some official attention. I've effectively stopped developing any quests for now, due to this. I'm not going to publish a half-finished quest, and without testing the combat, that's essentially what it is.
  • I completely agree. I think we've all read stories over the years and come across words we hadn't seen before or couldn't remember the meaning of. Personally, I'd look it up later, or then and there, and bam, you've just added to your vocabulary. Of course, an excessive use of less commonly used terms is going to interrupt…
  • Hah, this sounds amusing. :P Let's see... Jkpark - half-elf female, shoulder-length black hair with the straight fringe (I really need to start taking more screenshots), blue eyes, dark make-up. Clothes would just be any leather armour, not especially fussed in that department. :P Catchphrase: "They say that within us we…
  • Obviously, you're extremely limited with options, both in the software and the amount of time you've got to grasp the player's attention. Ideally, you'd like to please everyone, all the time, which just isn't feasible. Rules are made to be broken, in my opinion, but as has been pointed out, best to wait until you have some…

  • Yep, just set it to none, and the glowing path won't show up. Ah, certain skills, was it? It usually says the skill (ie; religion or thievery) if it's a skill that's missing instead of an item, and as there was no skill listed, I assumed the latter. :)
  • Finally found time to review your quest. :) The first map you travel to is well designed. I absolutely loved the little jumping puzzle. It's a nice touch and a pleasant diversion. Really enjoyed the amount of exploration and interactive elements you have on your map. It felt like a proper dungeon crawl. I would maybe…
  • So glad you enjoyed it. :D And yay, finally eligible! It seems the quest is finally polished enough. I can focus properly on the sequel. :) I shall play yours shortly! Edit: Of course, there's maintenance when I try to log on to do your review. >.> Afterwards!
  • If you get the time, I wouldn't mind some more feedback for my quest. Details are in my signature. I've updated it recently, trying to take into account the previous comments I've received, so would be nice to see if it's a satisfactory improvement. Thanks in advance!
  • Howdy. Details of my quest are in my signature. I probably won't have time to play yours tonight. It's dinner making time already, yikes. But I'll give it a run through tomorrow. :)
  • Aye. That's the only thing you can do with it. Had the same problem. :(
  • Should be in edit backdrop at the top.
  • You can transition between different custom maps, so that isn't an issue. It's difficult to envision what the problem exactly is. I agree with upskirt, though, check the story panel first. To begin with, the errors can be a little confusing.
  • Yeah, that's what I thought. >.> But it's a matter of trying to please the majority, and I know you can't please everyone all of the time. I'm conflicted. Thanks for playing and reviewing, though!
  • Hmmm... there shouldn't be any interaction any more, as I was getting complaints the interaction was taking too long, so I just made it instant instead. I'm not sure what version you played then. If it's the original, or the updated one and that's bugged. :/
  • Added some screenshots to the OP. I've also made quite a few tweaks, updates and changes to the quest in the past day. Unfortunately the foundry is proving difficult with its publishing problems, but hopefully they'll be live soon. :)
  • I know the feeling. Updated and tweaked quite a few things in my quest, and still waiting for it to publish. Lesigh.
  • Hah, oops. Didn't really think of looking for the chest. Sorry. >.> Maybe once the update is live, I'll have another go. ;) A lot of the grammatical problems aren't consistent, so I'd need to sit through and make notes. I did notice the swapping of '!?' and '?!', and while I realise this is kind of nit-picky, it's the kind…
  • @duskdweller78 Played and reviewed your quest. Here's a little more in-depth feedback. The quest in reasonably well-written. There's some inconsistencies with grammar, but nothing too major. The dialogue, in general, had a good feel to it, creative, and a little amusing in places. When I first got down into the tunnels,…
  • Howdy. I'll take a nosey at your quest tonight, or at least in a few hours, when I'm home. If you could review my quest in return, that'd be awesome. :) A Friendly Reminder @jkpark NW-DAQN7H5GO Duration: approx. 15 minutes. Short, simple, first foundry quest.
  • Aye, suffering the same issue myself. I'll just have to test my current project once it's live, which is far from optimal.
  • If it's not part of an exceedingly awesome story, then yes. People don't want to be penalised for playing your map.
  • One of TavernUGC's reviewers was kind enough to play and review my quest. I've added the link to the main text of the original post in this thread. :)
  • Cheers for the review. All points on improvement have been noted before and are on a to-do list. I'll get time to get around to them eventually. *shakes fist at busy schedule*
  • Played this one a couple of days ago. Nice varied map with some challenging combat. Well worth a play. :)
  • I did try to look for that thread you mentioned, but couldn't seem to find it. If you could point the way, that would be fantastic. :) And yus, when I played through the quest after I published it, I thought to myself, 'I really should have made this just a little bit longer'. The next one most definitely will be though,…
  • Ooh ooh, yes please. :) A Friendly Reminder NW-DAQN7H5GO @jkpark Approx. 15 minutes. Short and simple, first foundry quest from moi.
  • Great feedback, lanessar, thanks. I hadn't figured out how to work the whole branching dialogue/story thing very well at the time of making this quest, hence the sad amount of simplicity. The same goes with a lot of your other points. I just hadn't figured out how to do them any better then. Thankfully, I've learned since…
  • Full of little chuckle moments. Recommended. :D
