Every race has a few quests only for them. Every class has a few quest only for them. Admittadly, not many, but they are there. Beside that? QQ. Dat all QQ life of QQ when QQ came to town with QQ on a QQ stick with QQ fries on a MacQQ.
I'd just like the Druid after Ranger and Warlock really. Then we'd get a second Leader. After warlock and ranger, there will be 2 defenders, 3 strikers, 1 leader, 1 controller. But, on the main topic. I agree with OP. People refuse to see this from the D&D perspective and only see this from the MMO perspective. The game…
What I've read from this thread is very simple. People really don't seem to understand that this is D&D rules, more or less. GWF? Defender. GF? Defender. CW? Controller. Cleric? Leader. TR? Striker. There is no other Striker in the game yet. Strikers are the main dps class. Period. Everyone else -should- be a bit behind.…
I enjoy my GWF and I plan to play him well, what ever my friends need. But what I've read on the forums in general, is that it seems that the +threat feats don't seem to really do anything, for GF -or- GWF. Any word on this or possible test numbers? I'm way too low to test myself and the "promised to wait for the slow…
It does really sadden me when it -really- seems to be, that people can't seem to stop dps:ing a boss for a few moments to dps the adds. I really do hope there won't be a DPS meter for the game. That'll make killing adds even less likely when "OMG DPS I R GOD!" people only see their numbers on the boss. Not the adds at all.…
Archer Ranger and Scourge Warlock (both strikers) were datamined at some point, yes. And Drow will come for non-Hero of Neverwinter players "soon" yes. After that? You guess is as good as mine. Main book has Dragonborn and Eladrin left for races. Then again, Drow nor Half-Orc are in the first Players Handbook. Personally,…
I feel you and the OP so much. I play the GWF and I've loved him since lvl 1 and still do. Even though I'm only at 35. I know I'm not the biggest damage machine, I know I'll prolly loose to TR:s and even CW:s. But I take pride in knowing I'll keep my Clerics alive and well, by looking after the adds that most pug oriented…
I actually stopped playing my GF after I read most of the threads on the mechanic more and switched to my GWF. I am playing him as a n offtank / killer of adds in dungeons, and I like that role just fine. I hated all those **** tank companions also. Or TR:s not understanding what "give it a second" means.
How I understand, and stop me if I'm wrong, but most boss fights have adds spawning, and said adds, are -not- immune to CC from CW:s? Or am I wrong? And controlling -said- Adds would be very, -very- important to the fight? Or I might just be wrong here.
I've noticed this also, being a 35 GWF. I've seen from the dungeons I've done (all atleast 5 times) mostly TR loot. The one time a GWF item dropped, a TR did roll on it and won it. The irony is not lost on me.
Thanks for the answers, and good to hear we have people working on the "bad rep" of GWF:s. I personally love the playstyle and the class, and do aim to make sure GWF:s will be revered. One day or the other! :P
Looks interesting. What are your thoughts on Thorin's and Kartofflens takes on the class? Everyone seems to pick Slam as a Daily. Is it really that good that it's a must no matter what you do? (Mind you, I use it myself also). What would you say is the stat importance here? Power -> Crit -> ? ARP or Recovery? It is said…
Looks good. What do you think of Kartofflens guide and could you two work on one together perhaps? http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?159741-Kartofflens-GWF-destroyer-compendium
Tbh I personally find my GWF quite enjoyable, even though I'm only around ~25 or so. As I know it will get better, and I know that there are loads of people who only whine. Whine whine whine. And when I do succeed in proving the point that a GWF can be good in what he does, I do enjoy them. Very, very much.
Aggravating Strike is like a small taunt, not per ce a high threat one. Or so I understood myself playing around with a friend playing a cleric and doing some hard-ish Foundries with him, testing the tank mechanics. I must say that I noticed also this, that the mark + block system seemed to be the only way to keep aggro…
