  • Actually, in Cryptic's defense, they didn't get to be this bad until PWE took over. Just saying. CO's an amazing game, and doesn't actually force your hand to buy stuff. There are lockboxes, but they don't offer nearly the same kind of stuff Neverwinter lockboxes do. This game was released when PWE took over, and you can…
  • I've noticed this as well. Also, the shard is completely incapable of critically striking anything. On some occasions it'll actually end my Eye of the Storm ability early if I bowl it into a pack of enemies. If it's intended to not crit it should probably be mentioned in its tooltip somewhere. Really, if you intend to use…
  • Most of the 'one hitting' occurs at level 60. By that point rogues can crit for upwards to the 24k ranges while I've occasionally one shot poorly geared folk with Eye of the Storm and Ice Dagger. I think the epic gear just lets us achieve whole new realms of crazy, but our health pools don't really build to counter it.…
  • A large bulk of the damage a control wizard is able to do, at least by my experience, is through Eye of the Storm. Auto crits for 8 seconds can burst down anyone except a supreme geared cleric or GF. They don't need to have -everything- nerfed. They just need to have Eye of the Storm tweaked, if the damage is even an…
  • I'm guessing a pet doesn't 'exist' while you're logged out, since it's not present in the game world. It probably can't track this properly when a pet doesn't 'exist', thus the pet doesn't get the XP bonus. This is just a theory anyway. It's good to know the results though.
  • This is certainly a very good possibility. I never thought of this. Hopefully it'd be something easy to fix.
  • By what I can tell a huge potload of our damage comes from Eye of the Storm. My damage is okay. But when that procs, suddenly nobody stands a chance, at all. Eight seconds of guaranteed crits can turn us into temporary strikers, then when it wears off we're back to doing average damage again. I think Eye of the Storm has…
  • It blows my mind that PvP gear is BoE. I could understand entry PvP gear being this way, but the top tier gear has always been BoP. This is a very good demonstration of why that's always been the case. I do hope this gets fixed soon. Three games in a row the enemy team was afk. We literally killed them repeatedly in their…
  • I agree with Storm Pillar. It's awkward to use and doesn't really reward it very well. The additional damage from the DoT seems negligible unless it's a crit, and charging will root you. Being rooted is very bad when big monsters or angry GWFs are chasing you. I liked Chill Strike. It's a slightly under damaged Magic…
  • As one would say, if every class is OP, then no class is OP. So I approve of this. I honestly think PvP and PvE should always be balanced separately. Classes do their intended roles very well in PvE, but then when you throw them into PvP scenarios, people don't -like- that they do their jobs well. So, let every class crush…
  • I always appreciate being able to see who leaves what reviews. There have been cases while I was working on missions in the AE in CoX where someone left a review which was a bit vague. I had a few very good discussions about what they felt could have been done better with my AE. But, maturity goes both ways. If one person…
  • This is a shame. If anything, people should be thankful to have a quest available with which they can improve on their German. I always thought it was fun to figure out what NPCs were saying in German dialogue. It made the experience far more rewarding. But yes, I agree that it's awful to rate a quest by the language used.…
  • Actually, they added PvP stats in CO when they overhauled its PvP. Which sadly put the last nail into PvP's coffin for that game. I'd really hate to see them do that here. I hate, hate, hate, needing two sets of gear for two different types of game play. The devastating gear we get in PvE should devastate people in PvP,…
  • Right, and it's a matter of preference. You may like to be ganked more than twice a day and camped more than once a week. I don't. With their intended plans, we can both have the play style we enjoy. You're locked inside a mindset that a person's pathetic if they don't like to be ganked/camped. Well, that's all you. I'm…
  • You're being patronizing when you don't need to be. Grow up. Anyhow, I'm all for their plans for PvP. I'm comfortable with it. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action. I just want it to remain as it's going to be, a voluntary system.
  • Would be totally neat to be able to develop PvP maps. +1 for the idea.
  • It would be AoC all over again because there's no factions. Also you can't really help others if you're a very AoE dependent class/build. Do you know how many times I've seen someone jump in to help someone else only to KILL them in the process? Yeah, sounds like fun. I've played on a WoW PvP server. Do you know how many…
  • I agree that marking others as afk would pave the way to abuse. Although I think the two minute countdown should be extended if a player has spared a concerted effort to take a point, etc. I like to defend points. I can occasionally sit for 2-3 minutes at a point I just captured to see if a loner tries to get it back. If…
  • This'd be Age of Conan all over again. No thank you. If they do put it in, it should definitely be restricted to certain areas. Open world PvP would make playing AoE classes insufferable. Also people would kill each other simply because they have no idea if that other person is going to do the same to them. It's really…
  • They're pretty much item achievements. A person who's been playing 100+ days and praying the whole way can get the horse, then they look all shiny. Or they can save up for the angel and look very shiny. They're item-based benchmarks that represent how long someone's actually been playing the game.
  • Ah I see. Well it's a bit more reasonable if that's the case. I know it mentions the marks will disappear if you don't pray again in time, which is vague come to think of it. Perhaps it could be worded better.
  • Yes, there is level scaling in PvP. Also, by what I can tell, gear doesn't make that much of a difference in our performance. Granted, this could be different at end game, but at the given moment my level 30 character with stockpiled stats only sees roughly a 5% increase to what those stats benefit. I think the biggest hit…
