5.5% and bleed are off base weapon damage, it amounts to very little damage. Debuff has been overnerfed. It used to be flat 10% for Normal Plague Fire, now it's 6% total, 2% per stack for Normal. With decent crit, Lesser Vorpal is superior to Normal PF.
ArP >> Power Power isn't very good, but once you're ArP capped and hit heavy DR (3-4k+) on crit rating it's better than nothing. Ratios here: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?295232-Banelorne-s-Stealth-Based-Executioner-TR-Build&p=4924491#post4924491
Lesser Vorpal > Normal PF. Especially since GF/CW will bring PF. Also Lesser Vorpal (4shards ~64k + ward ~100-110k) is cheaper than Normal Plague Fire (4 lesser PF ~200k + ward ~100-110k).
I found a new pair of boots I like, they're not quite as detailed as I'd like (and they seem to be made out of a velvety material), but they're the closest I've seen to classic Tank Boots/Jackboots. I still want to know what boots johnstg is using though, want to try 'em in a different colour scheme.
Critical Strike stacking can still be worth it beyond 3k, if you have a powerful Vorpal. But note that with Ancient Dagger Set you will hit ~3.5-3.6k without any crit enchants. That said, if I would upgrade my enchants, I would use Critical Strike over Power in the slots I would free up. While Power offers slightly better…
Crit is worth stacking to 3-3.5k+, but it depends on how powerful Vorpal one has. And Burst damage > Sustained in PVP, so that's another reason to stack crit over Power, even when crit rating is hitting the DR wall.
Where did I say you should stack ArP to 5k? Oh wait, I didn't. I stated that defence isn't very effective, since most decent PvP'ers have at least 20% ArP, because all classes have that much damage resistance. No other stat will give that kind of dmg:rating return. And due to the prevalence of Burst damage in the current…
No. You can test this with low level weapons. 16-20 dmg 16power vs 20-25dmg 44 power. Surge: 461-474 vs 479-495, Surge has a coefficient of ~3 dmg per 25 power. Power gain was only +28 = ~1.12dmg x3 = 3.36, which doesn't add up. However if we add 5dmg = 6.12 total x 3 = ~18.36, which is much closer to the observed results.…
If you've levelled a Guardian fighter to 60 and have made enough AD to buy the sets he's talking about you should be able to easily understand what he's talking about. But I'll break it down for you: He runs a very expensive Regeneration and high defensive stats based build that does average damage. His stats are ~36k…
Tactical Superiority is only +5% as you can still maintain the 10% from Combat Superiority. You can take Wrathful Warrior in Tactician build, but it's probably not as great, since you'll be taking damage more often. Now the main draws for Tactician imho are Inspiring Leader and Martial Mastery. Inspiring Leader offers a…
Then you shouldn't focus on stealth builds. For PVE: Swashbuckling Set + Ancient Daggers are the best combination. Jewelery depends if you want pure offensive damage or actually be alive when server derps your dodge and you get hit with a 24k necrotic damage ability. For Pure damage: Grand/Ancient Excorcist Neck,…
Not the first guardian by a mile lol. As for the Timeless Sword, it's a nice collector item, but I wouldn't wear it for PVP. For PVE it's nice for a purely offensive dps set, but not 5mil nice.
Path of Blades is terrible, it only hits one random target in the area per pulse. Not sure if that's bugged, but if intended, it makes PoB very bad for PVE. Wicked Reminder should be on every TRs bar in PVE, Stacking debuff for up to +20% damage and a 3' AoE that has no target cap.
That's why I said anyone decent. As for alternative builds that do equal damage? Such as? Since there's no other stat that gives you +20% damage consistently.
The point is that in PvP, most fights don't last long enough to Lashing Blade twice. If you crit the target for 15k+ with Lashing Blade and then crit him with Impact Shot or Dazing Strike or whatever ability he's dead. But if you hit the target for 6k and then have to do another 14k-24k damage to kill the target, it…
