It was a disappointment that after saving my 30 VIP keys there was nothing to show for it. If you have pay for VIP then it's not F2P but a subscription to get the bonuses. Various f2p MMOs offer some kind of incentive to subscribe and Cryptic's was the VIP rewards.
I understand it's gated behind keys, after 30 boxes I got nothing worth selling. I have been buying keys when I can but and nothing really worth while. It's not needed but either are a lot fluff items, they are there so people can get them.
I played Ranger when there was only Stormwarden and it was fun, saying that I tried it again for a days and went back to Pathfinder. I wouldn't play SW again as PF suits my play style more.
I haven't played since Christmas. The game is endless series of dailies with no real direction to it. The new module will be the same old thing with a new class and a skirmish. Leveling artifact gear is just a money grind and the randomness of lock boxes means I won't be wasting more money on keys. There is a complete lack…
I use profound combatant as most PvE is steam rolled anyway. I also prefer the run speed and not lagging behind the group. The stats are well balanced also and I end up with almost some GS but less crit which can be boosted anyway,
I'd give it a 6 at most. Typical 'on the rails' MMO with the usual progression paths. The usual Cryptic approach to MMOs with instances and very little in the way of exploration. Lack of maps in PvP makes domination boring as does lack of game types. Same old grind with every Mod release with boons and each ones looks to…
It's a Cryptic MMO so I don't expect wonder. After seeing the development of STO then watching how Neverwinter is unfolding is no surprise. Each module is the same thing, boons, paragon path and maybe a new skirmish. If you're lucky you might get another fish tank like adventure zone with as much exploration as a box of…
I hope they never introduce Funcom design and The Secret World's failures into the Neverwinter. Before T4 is even considered then the GS system needs an overhaul.
The game need an awful lot the new Paragon paths and boon grind every few months. I miss the days sandbox MMO days when you could do other thing other grind :).
Considering it's an uncommon companion and take some 1.3m AD to upgrade to purple then I don't see why the drop rate is so low. It's not as AD fall from the sky.
Another grind for pet I won't see drop due to the 0.0000000001% chance of getting it. I wish they would just make everything so it can bought with talismans. Don't mind the reskinned bow as I accidentally deleted mine and GM won't restore non-zen items.
The question I have to ask why do we have those contests on Dragon server ? I wouldn't mind some the items. The one thing I enjoyed about SW:TOR is the PvP maps and Hutball :D.
STO has the better system. When a character completes a reputation they can make an item which you transfer to an alt and it reduces the amount needed by 50%. Isn't any reason it can't used in NW.
Rift is now F2P and has multiple appearance slots, I would prefer appearance slots over the system that is there now and agree on the cost 51k AD cost being a sinkhole. Surely they must make enough cash from people buy key bundles to all more customization.
It's a Cryptic game and anyone who played their other game knows how it goes. STO has not changed much since day but added more grind in reputation systems(Boons to NW) and the end has remained the same kind of content since release. Neverwinter feels like a reskin of STO. The same linear grind, boon grind and repetitive…
I'm still going to use my Profound Combatant set as I prefer the 20% speed. Let's face it the healing won't matter much if your ganked by 4 other people. The healing was useful but IWD I'll use pots and just try to keep people at range in domination. If they add run speed to something else then I'll drop 2 pieces.
The cap should be raised to 30 vs 30 so people don't have to wait 10-15 mins just for to enter the pvp map. Good luck getting if you are Delzoun as even on a good day it might the last 10 mins.
I run Pathfinder with Lonewolf and Battlehoned, encounters are Constricting Arrow and Thorn Ward. I use the rat companion from drake seal vendor and just try to keep him healed :). With 2 pieces of purified gear I can solo two giants.
I don't know about memorable, but the funniest was in GG. I saw 3 Luskan's heading across the drawbridge so flicked the switch and killed them lol. Apart from the killing any perma-stealth TR is memorable. It must be nice to skulk away like a coward.
