  • You probably saw an NPC named merchant such-and-such. Unfortunately there is no way to add in that functionality. Eldarth came the closest I have seen, with his Calimport Arena quest. That gave "Money" as a quest item which could be used to buy things. However, you still can't get a vendor who can actually sell you…
  • I've mostly abandoned this game. I think I'm at the point where I check in now and then. I only came here for the foundry, but PWE seems content just to bury it in a pile of ****, so until some of that gets cleared away, there's not much for me to do here. Mod 6 is a bad joke, and seems to have ruined pretty much…
  • PLEASE fix some of the longstanding Foundry bugs, and make them worth playing for the average player. Listen to Eldarth, he has great ideas, and has compiled most, if not all, of our feedback into one place.
  • And it looks like it's only going to get worse; we lost spirals and akro. Unless they bring in some new blood who will fight for the foundry, we're on a downward slope.
  • Yes, the Foundry is down. It goes down for a while after every mod release. Quests start to be brought back up a few at a time for several days, but the editor can remain offline for weeks sometimes.

  • Me too. I haven't had the urge to play in a month or two. Logged back on yesterday for about an hour (at LEAST half of that was waiting on lag, though). I like Minsc. I always have. I know they are just pandering, but it worked on me. Unfortunately, Minsc is not enough to make up for this godawful mod. Hourly quests...even…
  • I am eager for the foundry to come back online, so we can see what new assets & encounters they have given us (if any). I doubt they will have given us anything else. However, with the news of Traps now taking a percentage of HP (good news, I feel), I wonder if we will have any control over that.
  • I've got one in the works if I ever actually FINISH IT.
  • Hey, I like this idea, I just haven't been on the forums much this past week. The search function definitely needs a redesign. I'd add the request that tags be set by authors instead of the players. Enough players will eventually tag everything, and make the tags useless otherwise.
  • This happened to me too. The instance should either not be available until you've spoken with the NPC, or else speaking to the NPC should be optional.
  • Oh cool! This sounds like a good compromise.
  • Some of the map bases will give you something you can work with. Also, if you can work out the heights of the stuff around the river, the tower district cliffs make for good riverbanks. It takes a fair amount of work to arrange them in a way that will be satisfying, though.
  • Yeah that no-traps within 10' of another totally ruined a puzzle I was working on. It involved having to pick the right spot to walk on, but now it doesn't work. Still, I am glad to see some improvement in traps themselves. It would be great if we could set the percentage of damage, on up to 80 or 90%. Straight-up one-shot…
  • I am very excited to see that part 2 is up. I enjoyed part 1 quite a bit (though I still say that I'm not convinced finding this Seneschal would be a boon to Faerun; he sounds like kind of a <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>), and am eager to try out part 2.
  • Not Technically in the Drowned Shore itself, but I don't know where they want us to put bug reports on the Minsc Quests. Bug: No Crevice Untouched Upon Completing the quest and leaving the cave, I spawned in the Ebon Downs INSIDE the brick wall, so there was no way to get out. /unstuck and /killme did not function. I had…
  • If that. I doubt they will ever give us control like that. It'd be great if they DID, though. We could make them MEAN something, and traps in combat areas would be serious business, as a misstep could spell death.
  • That's true. I am still very very much in favor of a 1st time bonus on playing new foundries.
  • It doesn't mean I'll stop asking them to improve it, or stop hoping, or stop trying to get as many people rallied behind the foundry as possible, but it's just looking less and less like they care. Or at least, they have fewer people with less time to devote to it, so at this point they may never give us the update we…
  • You know, if the idea of tokens which can be turned in for ANY campaign currency doesn't work for the devs, then there is something else they could do that would be a bit more selective, though it would take more work from a Dev standpoint. With Tyranny of Dragons came the Cult of the Dragon Foundry contest. They could…
  • it would help a lot if they made foundry difficulty scale not just by level, but by gear score and party size. This has been requested a hundred times.
  • Are we gonna do this again? A bit pointless by now, but sure, why not. 1) Improve Foundry rewards. My new favorite idea is having them award campaign currencies (or tokens to be exchanged for such) so that we can all run foundry quests instead of Dailies and get campaign credit. There are lots of other ideas for this…
  • This needs to be brought online so people can actually TEST IT. At this rate the mod will premier with only Drowned Shore being tested. 3 of 4 zones will have NO testing at this rate.
  • It's ALWAYS "the next module" that we'll get a foundry update, meaning it is NEVER the next module. They always tell us they will, and they never do. It's just to settle us down. They tell us they are working on it, and that there are results in sight, but it is all a lie so they can string us along. In all likelihood they…
  • That's actually kinda cool. I like that traps are being given a bit more bite now. As long as the traps give an injury that makes sense (spiked floor traps should injure legs, not head, for instance), then I like it. And shifting as a sometimes, but not 100% way around it helps mitigate the "WE NEED A ROGUE NOW" that…
  • FEEDBACK: Quests I like the Zhentarim Agent in that he is the most honest voice-of-the-game quest giver I can think of encountering thus far. "Just kill 'em all!" This game is really all just about killing lots and lots of things. We just put the veneer of a reason behind it. However, I don't see why the Goldseeker mines…
  • Can't seem to find it, as all I can find in the combat log is how much damage anyone did to anyone. It doesn't seem to list what moves they are using. Or maybe I am looking in the wrong log...
  • I wholeheartedly support the ability to scale assets. They already do this in-game with the statues among other things. Those giant armored statues are just too big for most situations I find myself wanting to use them in. Also, HEADS? WHY ARE THERE NO HEADS?
  • Yes please! I'd love some cobblestones, and giving us some flat textures of grounds would at least give us some basic tools to give the illusion of terraforming. We'd at least be able to make some flat areas & slopes; & level out the ground below the towns we are building. This would also really help us to keep some detail…
  • Things always take longer than you think they should, but really, it doesn't matter how simple or how easy it is; time is money, and the Devs can't seem to justify to their bosses spending it on the Foundry.
  • Allowing players to import their own textures & images would lead to major quality control issues. A lot textures would just be BAD, and inconsistent with the rest of the game. I vote against it. However, I would be all for them giving us access to every texture, and an editor that lets us render the 3D frames and so forth…
