Yes. If you did that (and many, including myself, did) you will be bugged and unable to allocate any further points. They started enforcing the rules but did not take the very basic step of fixing the database first. They still haven't fixed the database an they expect you to use your free respec to fix their error. If you…
All the harper dungeons have the new "you think you are 70 but you are not" mechanism. As people actually approach 70 they may start to solo or tag team it but in the meantime you need a group.
I did and it does. Had to respec anyway to fix the point allocation bug so I figured why not. I prefer my old build, but I just couldn't stay alive in the new and and sort of new content.
I switched to a trapper build based on this thread (used the mod 6 respec which also fixed my issue with bugged point allocation, fyi) and I do seem to be much more survivable. I had to cut the testing short due to the extreme rubber banding I was experiencing last night, but it looks promising. Thanks for the information.
As a side note, even if you do not get the quest you can enter with someone else (better in a group anyway) and complete the Common Cause. You do not get the end reward for dungeon however unless you have taken the quest yourself.
Last night I gave up playing. Frame rate was fine, and I don't recall having any issues with that anyway, but the rubber banding was horrendous. Even in solo instances, like the Minsc quests, I never knew where I was going to end up and dodging was near impossible. Last night was the worst it's been for me in quite a while.
Not sure if it's a bug or working as intended, but it seems that once the system decides what you get, it never changes. Seems like a pretty poor design choice so I'm hoping it's a bug that will get fixed sooner or later, or much much later, maybe.
Any character you had when mod 6 went live got a token. If you press the 'respec character' button it will give you the option to use it, if you have one. If you are a paladin or you already used it in the manner it was designed for (to switch skills after mod 6) then you are out of luck.
I finally broke down and used the mod 6 respec on one of my 3 bugged characters. It worked, so I may do it for one of the others. The 3rd though used hers after mod 6 (what was I thinking!?) and so will remain bugged until they fix the issue or give us another respec, now long overdue. I'm not paying for their mistake.
I just finished leveling to 70 with sub-par gear (thanks to the 2xp week), since I was only just at 60 before mod 6 hit and so was not able to do much for boons and gear before it was all taken away or made obsolete. I can do any normal zones but as an archer I struggle with any of the mod6 zones, and of course could not…
In most places there seems to be just enough lag to throw off the dodge timing. In some places it's better, because it's so bad you don't even try to play.
Great, if you still have it and if you are not an OP, which never got it. Even if you do have it (as 2 of my 3 bugged characters do) I don't see why I should have to use it to fix a bug.
It seems to be deliberate, as the other Harper dungeons (like barrow demolition) are the same. The bug ghost stories had (might be fixed, haven't bothered to try recently) is that the last crypt had 70+ mobs but was dropping players back to normal. No way to win that until you reach 70 yourself.
I suggest that you have a look at those old quests you have and work you way through some of the higher level ones. Other than the starter quests in each of the new zones, and the starter quests under the tree in PE, the 60+ 'leveling' consists of grinding of low xp quests. Do the new starter (yellow) quests first for new…
I guess that explains why 50% is not 50%. I assumed it was working on the same principal as the arcane, dungeon etc. kits that say they are 75% and are successful at about 50%.
There is a thread in the general discussion about it, and it seems to be related to the stack 'critting'. If it does so, and the odds are pretty high, you get nothing.
Seems to be related to the 4 point abilities. I was not able to update at 65, but my lower level had no issues. FYI, http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?906351-Unable-to-spend-points-on-new-feats-and-powers
I didn't notice that, maybe because I wasn't grinding there for xp. I had some non-campaign content I could do at 4k plus, but that is almost done now (and is done for some characters). Those tend to take longer, so maybe the xp per hour is similar but since it was story driven and not all rinse and repeat it felt faster.…
Barrow demolition is also one of the new "you are now 70, lol, jk you are dead" zones, so I assumed all the harper dungeons are and I quit doing them. I am leveling on some of the content I skipped, and preparing to slowly grind the new areas. By the time they fix the scaling I will probably be 70 or gone.
While some of the support for mod6 changes are valid, there is one major concern I have with the 'you are now 70' zones. These zones are available to any level 60's, many of whom do not have end game epic gear scores of 20k (or the new non-GS GS of 2k or whatever) and many of whom are not done with collecting boons. If…
OK, this is a complete guess, but is the difference something to do with the appearance selected for the companion? He looks a little more 'grown up' in the second screenshots.
I had the same issue and I play on PC. I assumed it was an older guide and that the names had been changed. Maybe the guide was based on the beta hunter? Not sure why it so highly rated in that case. As of mod 6 it's all changed anyway, so I'd wait and see if there are any new mod 6 guides that come out.
As newish level 60 (x3) I have t1 epic gear and had about 10.5 to 11.5k GS. With the new non-GS GS it's about 1000 iirc. Anyway, the green rewards for the starter Minsc quests replaced some of the T1 epic gear. I expect that we will be gearing up pretty quickly and may be able to play in the campaign zones before 70. Maybe.
