They said this isn't normal maintenance hours, it's just needed tonight. Course what sucks is my time to play this weekend has been later night, and with server crash last night and maintenance tonight, can't get a lot done this week online*sigh* maybe next weekend.
What's funny is I remember when WoW would crash, or have hours of queue time before you could play, just to be kicked 20 minutes into it. Those threads were just straight offensive. Was one of the worst releases I've ever played.
Let's not forget WoW just ripped off every good aspect of it's competition every month and patchd it in, and knew how to advertise their butts off. WoW was a good game because of it's competition, not because of it's devs' creativity.
This is a VERY good point. Very few free to play games will wipe after an open beta, and i think mainly because of the cash shop aspect, the people that gave them money through the open beta would feel cheated having to start over with everyone else.
What's funny is my pops is almost master prestige on Black Ops 2. He's almost 60. We started gaming together with the original Everquest back in like '99. Gaming is just a way of life for some people, like any other hobby...which is why you get complaints and crying when servers go down.
Thats easy, play the OP class now, when they nerf it by the time you hit max lvl (since so insanely fast and easy to level up in this game), start the next OP class! No really, while rogue is great single target burst dps, GWF and CW are good for AoE and support, with slightly lower dps. I've had no problems soloing this…
You forgot to mention one very important piece of Shield in your video. The fact you can kick butt with it. Cast again to push it out, damaging mobs a fair amount and pushing them all away. So when you get hit, if you can't get away quick enough, push it out and send them flying. That right there definitely makes shield a…
So playing my CW through 3 beta weekends, I can tell you they were probably the most versatile and most fun class to play. Rogues stomp CWs on dps, clerics get heals and seemed like stronger attack spells, and of course fighters doing their fightering thing. CW was just straight fun to play. jkaplan, good thread dude, and…
CW was most fun of all the classes I think. I felt pretty beast at 46, but had to go lie down with a few hours left of beta cuz my head was pounding too bad to play anymore :(
Yes i noticed shift was easier to use as well. As far as damage while teleporting, I did a lot of testing with it where I think perhaps server lag could account for it, but there were times where tele would work fine, other times my damage would tick on me during or after teleporting.
Sorry wylie, either you didn't level into the 30s or you really don't know what you're talking about. Solo, rogues were doing WAY better then wizards, hands down. Even partying, rogues outdamaged wizards in nearly every aspect. Our control ability was too weak to barely handle a handful of mobs, dps lacking, buggy…
Nothing wrong with movement bonuses, as MMOs have had it since the beginning basically. Just make it worthwhile or don't put it in, because it takes away from other builds for no reason.
One thing to consider too, is the hand movement the wizard did for teleport. Means there was a slight delay before he actually teleported, but even with that considered, same happened to me. Would take damage during and after teleported, was quite annoying.
Wizard AOE is a joke. Their lvl 30 skill is a joke, less damage OVERALL on multiple enemies then your magic missile tri-burst. Only thing I really liked is there's a good variety of skills to go straight dps, aoe control, aoe dps, or single target control. Also like their animations, all the spells LOOK cool. But none of…
Well done. I found preventive maintenance was best in weekend one as well, and DID work very well. Also applied to soloing, cleric is virtually invincible to 30 (to same level encounters, as with any class you go more than a couple levels under your enemies you're pushing it).
