I have a question about CWs that I am hoping to get an educated answer for.
- My friend and I both have CWs. I played a CW on PC till about 16 months ago, had her up to 15k GS with all content cleared. We are both building off of IronZerg's guide currently. My friend will probably stick to that guide word for word, while I will probably change a few things around out of preference.
Now for my actual question - Does a CW benefit from another CWs Chill Stacks? For Example, if he uses Icy Terrain and CoI with Chilling cloud to maintain Chill Stacks - will my Abilities get the damage increase from Chilling Presence on My CW because of his Chill Stacks?

Yes, the chill stacks are shared between all players, they are stacked ontop of the enemy as a red debuff.
Hi, I'd never played this before it came out on Xbox, and I'm loving it. However:
I wasn't aware that ability stats had a max, and so I've put a point into my INT stat and it hasn't increased. YAY a waste of a point. Surely we should be told this before it accepts the point? some kind of warning?
So my question is, do we at any stage get a free respec? or is that it now my level 29 wizard is now useless? The game's great, but it's not very 'new player friendly' in situations like this. I'd have expected it to tell me the max numbers I can hit on my stats.
Any info is much appreciated, it's kinda put me off wanting to max my character out if I know I have to pay a small fortune just to sort out my skills/stats when I reach max level. Thanks.
Could you point me in the direction of a good GWF build I am entirely new to this game but it is amazing and I hope it gets better, after an hour of trying to register on here to post I now have to wait, kind of annoying but oh well, please inbox me if you can, I am almost 25 and I'm sure I have messed up somehow, there are so many options to spec and I'm pretty lost

There is no cap on ability points, so what you are describing isn't possible.

Really? Wow thanks. It was one of those moments where for some reason I wasn't paying proper attention when I added the point, and then I'd convinced myself that my INT didn't increase when I added it lol. Sorry about that.
So essentially I could add my 2 points when I hit levels 10, 20, 40 and 50 all into the same ability if i wanted to?
Also, regardless of the abilities.. I'm pretty sure many others along with myself will have messed up our skills/feats seeing as this is a new game to us and it's trial and error. So, will there be a free respec?
Hi, I'm curious about the cw. I just hit level 22. How viable is the shield
skill in terms of actual protection? Or is it more for the pushback effect that's valuable? Also, I have the conduit of ice skill in my mastery spot, is that a good skill for mastery? It seems good but haven't played with the others in the RB slot yet. Lastly, are there any skills I should not bother with?

Im new as well but have done quite a bit of research on my CW. From my experience, the shield is a good skill but I wouldnt say its worth keeping over another encounter skill. It does offer some decent protection but after doing runs with and without the shield, it seems to be more effecient to have another skill slotted. You're still low so using it for the time being should be okay but as you unlock more skills I would get rid of it.
As far as conduit of ice, thats probably one of the best skills to use in master. Chill strike in master is good as well but I personally prefer Conduit of ice. Keep in mind my goal at this point is to have DPS as high as possible.

Shield is a decent encounter for protection. I use it when I PVP. In PVE, at least on PC, I'm extremely overgeared, and consider it a waste of an encounter slot as I could slot a different encounter to deal even more damage.
The mechanics of shield are detailed in the first post of this thread
Conduit of Ice is one of the top spells to slot in Spell Mastery, I'd keep it if I were you.

Great thread regarding the Shield. I was looking for an in depth analysis on it. Seems like the shield could be quite useful for PVP.
Edit: Just read through a few pages of that thread and jesus, hopefully the community isnt as hostile as that thread portrays lol
(I'm level 10 and just unlocked Stealth) on the Powers screen, it has a list of skills that are "Available at 10 points" Please don't tell me this means I have to muster up 10 points to get one of them? Or does 10 points just mean level?

There is a small group of players that absolutely hate CWs and seem to be doing everything within their power to get them nerfed. If you were to count it up, over half the posts in that 40 page thread are made by the same 10 people. It's rather sad, but you can't really do anything about people like that....

It means you have to of spent 10 points already in the powers tree. You can be level 50, but if you have not already committed 10 points on other powers you will never get to unlock those higher powers.
Hey, thanks for taking the time with this thread. I found a lot of useful information in here. I am really enjoying the game and have gotten my control wizard up to level 24. Still not sure what to do with my other precious character slot.
I have an off topic question for you. What's up with the Moonstone Mask? Its always full of players of all levels jumping and dancing around. I don't see any quests to do in there, so what am I missing? Is it just the place to go to congregate? I do see a cosmetic vendor in there, but have no idea where the currency he need drops.
The mask is just a role-play hub. It is its own instance away from all the spam and zone chat in the main city, so it can be a good place to meet up with people.

A lot of people like to roleplay in the Moonstone Mask.
1. What classes are available to the PC players now after a year or so of play? (Outside the Fighters, Cleric, Wizard, Warlock, Ranger and Rogue)
2. What sort of classes have been mentioned in being added to new 'DLC?' I ask because personally I'd like to see the Monk, Paladin (which I saw was in module 6), and maybe both the Druid and Barbarian. Throw in the Bard or Shaman for more healers, since 1 out of 7 is slim the way it currently stands.

Paladin will be available for PC with mod 6. There has been no official mention of what future classes might be. Cryptic has been very quiet about its plans on this. They have managed to release a new class every other module, and with modules being released every 4 months apart. Its going to be at least 8 months before we know what the next one, if any, is going to be.
Current speculation is running high on perhaps Druid or Bard, being next however.
Having lost my opportunity at the hero of Blacklake title...Will the first call to arms event allow me a 2nd chance to Que up for the low level skirmishes as well as complete them as missions?

Yes.... whenever they decide to run that instance of call to arms. You could be waiting years for a specific one, it may never come. They are run randomly, and not all of them have been run yet, some have been run more than once. There's no telling when a specific one will pop up.
Yea, the Black Lake skirmish is one of the few Call to arms events that not been done on the PC yet. A lot of PC players have been waiting 2 years for it. So, it could be a long time, if ever, for it to show up on the Xbox. If this is a real deal breaker for you, you might consider restarting.
Would you consider this a decent build? I haven't really read any build guides, and I'm quite enjoying this one (For now) even though I get out damaged by TR's by a good amount.
As you can see, I mainly went for the Thaumaturge feats tree. I'm pretty new to neverwinter in general, so hopefully I'm not doing that bad. My main goal is the be team orientated and avoid blasting enemies away from the tank. Therefor, I removed repel from my powers and switched it with chill strike. I also replaced shield with ice terrain.
What I usually do is try to group the enemies with my arcane singularity and then put some ice under the enemies as they are sucked up. Once they are all bunched up, I use my aoe powers.
Only downside to be honest in single enemy combat.

Yeah, you're definitely on the right track. I also use a Thaumaturge build, a link in my signature will bring you to it on NW calc tool. One thing to beware of about singularity is that it has a target cap of 8. Most people use Oppressive Force instead because it has a much shorter cast time, no target cap, and deals far more damage.
I have a question regarding identifying items. At this point im getting a lot more unidentified items than i am getting identity scrolls. Is there another way to identify items or a place to purchase more scrolls?
Only ID the items you can actually equip, and just sell the rest. You will never get enough scrolls through drops to ID everything you pick up. You can purchase more scrolls from the Wondrous Bazaar, but it really is just a horribly inefficient way to convert Diamonds into gold.
As long as you stick to using them on items you can actually wear, you will end up with more scrolls then you need.
Yeah Ive always only ID the items im capable of using, seems like I get a ton though. Thanks for the tips. Looks like Ill just ID when I can and sell the rest.
1) How do you gain the skill "Create forum thread +1"? So I can stop using other threads to ask questions...
2) Where are the group management controls? (kick, promote to leader, vote kick, etc)
3) Will there eventually be proximity based local voice chat?

I asked Akromatik to change the permissions so new users can post new threads in that subforum, you should be able to now.
