lol katamaster you are a saint for answering all these questions (most of which have already been answered many times in other threads). just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to do it. I'm a member of the NW_Legit channel on PC as well and know just how helpful a lot of people there can be.
I do have a CW-related question. I've actually never played a CW (have TR, GWF, SW, and HR on PC). Got any good suggestions for a new CW that is mostly interested in DPS and PVE content?
and another question if we do have to make a new char do we get the companion on the desktop char and xbox char?
Yes you have to make a new character for Xbox. The companion you receive is for Xbox only, but you can get the same companion on PC for free by entering in a promo code through the arc client. I don't think there are any keys available for PC right now, but they release them quite often so keep an eye out!

For DPS, there are a lot of options right now regarding spec and equipment. For once, both MoF and Stormmage are almost equally viable, and both Thaum and Rene are good paths for DPS. I personally prefer SS Thaum, but I have 3 CWs, all different specs. I'd suggest you experiment with whatever appeals to you. In regards to endgame armor, I've always been a fan of the High Vizier set, but that's going away real soon on PC for mod 6, so that's not gonna be viable for much longer. If you plan on playing on Xbox one, definitely experiment around, try to get a HV set, it will make a world of a difference, especially with all the undergeared players that there will be on XB1. If you want DPS though, make sure to always keep Storm Spell slotted, and build lots of power, crit, and arp!
Anyone else having issues getting passed queue for clock tower dungeon?
If the queue system is the same as the one for PC, it's not going to work very well at all. On PC, 99% of the time it is faster to form a group in the lfg chat and enter with a full party manually at the dungeon entrance or via the queue.
XB1 Question: Why wont it let me connect with my friends? do you have to be a certain lvl? or is there a certain amount of quest u have to do? plz help
I know many of you are probably new to the game, and as a PC player that plans to play both console and PC, I figured I'd help all of you new players out by offering my expertise on general gameplay and the control wizard class. I'm a guild leader of a decent sized guild on PC (Don't have an XB1 affiliated guild but we are considering it), and a moderator in the NW_Legit_Community channel, which is over 6000 members! I've been playing this game on PC since November 2013, and I participated in the XB1 Closed Beta!
I'd say I'm fairly knowledgeable on this game, so feel free to ask me any questions you have! Post them in this thread, and I'll do my best to answer them in a timely fashion!
How about number of free creatable characters? Made one guy so far and say one of two characters made. Foes that mean we can only create 2? That would make me very unhappy.
Just a quick question: how long is the probationary period where new users can't create threads? I just really wanna make a thread to get some feedback on what class to choose. Already have a Hunter Ranger, but I want a mage class too, and I can't choose between the control wizard or the scourge warlock. They both look awesome, from looking at their abilities on the wiki.

Yes it does. It's a Cryptic thing. You'll have to pay for more slots. Though you could save up Astral Diamonds, convert them to Zen, and then buy more character slots for free.

You my friend should add me and help me reach that goal of free slots haha

I believe it is 30 or 28 days, but I could be wrong. I suggest Control Wizard, that's my personal favorite class, and it is well suited for both PVE and PVP.
I'm confident I'm specing and building my character poorly. Any advice on CW specs?
I personally prefer Spellstorm mage, but both Spellstorm and Master of Flame are viable. For feat paths, both Renegade and Thaumaturge are good, Thaumaturge has a slight edge in DPS over renegade, but Renegade provides a few passive buffs for their party, and is still extremely good at DPS.
In regards to what stats you want on your gear, aim to build power, arp, crit, and if you have to choose between defensive stats, always go with HP. Combat Advantage is also good, and works really well with renegade builds
About how many diamonds do you need to trade to get enough Zen, and how do you trade diamonds for Zen?
You can trade AD/Zen via the AD exchange (aka ZAX). The prices vary as it is player driven on both sides, so I can't tell you how much AD it will take.

on PC, you are able to reclaim one on each character. I'd assume it is the same for Xbox One!

Is Foundry a part of the Xbox One version of the game right now? If not, have they discussed plans/timeline for making it available?
I only played the PC version of Neverwinter a little bit, but it seemed to me like that was a huge part of the game.
No, foundry is not currently a part of the XB1 release.
