No, they haven't. Tymora gifts always dropped 10k. Perhaps you've got them confused with some of the rewards from the Waukeen event.

But the RAD the giftbox can now drop is a random amount between 1k and 10k , not 10k every time now , totally nerfed the giftbox good style lol

Is this another lockbox? Yet another box I won't buy keys for?

    Sigh.

Special event "lockboxes" don't require keys to open.

Oh, well then. The news article on the homepage specifically says 10k, and that's all I had to go on. The item tooltip doesn't specify an amount.

Anyway, I'm sitting in Sharandar now twiddling my thumbs deciding if I should do something grinding or wait till they resolve the Ioun stone fiasco as I do not want my time and effort wasted if they take certain measurement to resolve the issue...

I have opened 40+ gift boxes and all are pots, resources and enchantments, except 1 10k RAD...

Ok, tx for the info. I think I was in another special event but I didn't remember about the boxes.

Sounds familiar. 41 boxes - 16x pots, 9x enchants, 14x crafting junk (three blue, rest green). And two RADs, a 10k and a 1k. Meh.

Yep same here , a bunch of green crafting mats , some combat pots , 6k worth of ad (1k-2k gifts ) and a crapload of the new enchantment , severely dissapointed with what they have done to Tymora's gift .

So what, the item is HAMSTER... and the drop rate is HAMSTER as well?
I went into a foundry quest where there were 50 hulks to kill all bunched up. Killed them all and not ONE SINGLE F****ING giftbox drop. Oh and i made sure i waited like 5 minutes before i started the quest.
And even then before that i went into one of those arena foundries where they pit waves of enemies against you with pauses in between, requiring you to move to start the next wave. 11 Minutes of killing enemies (with pauses), and completing the foundry, got 2 gifts.
I guess it's another one of those promising failed events? I don't think cryptic cares about upping the drop rates either. I wasn't expecting like 10 to drop from 11 minutes of farming but two? Sigh...

I think they nerfed it so that there is a time barrier....which makes sense to prevent exploiting the system such as what you are doing

Even then, an average of 5 mins for 1 gift?

That is not the average I am getting.

    I am getting 1 every 2-3minutes

Dunno, but i'm fighting enemies for 5 minutes now in the dread ring, not foundry. I make sure i pause for at least 20 seconds after a fight and fight groups where there are atleast 2 tough enemies. Not one drop...
    What is this bs?

I wonder if the current rise in AD vs Zen prices are due to anticipation of this event starting? Was about 400AD/Zen (and going up) before the maintenance today.

I've been watching the ZAX for several days now and that thing is a clotted artery compared to the heart attack race it was during the key sale. I think I've seen it fluctuate, at most between 390 and 405 over a several day period. Granted I've witnessed and taken advantage of some pockets, but the ability to wheel and deal with it just isn't happening at any meaningful level because of the massive amounts of buyers clumping their sums together and the sellers doing a fairly likewise maneuver.

Personally, I see Scoll of Fate: Glory to be a possibly decent money maker with the PvP revamp... of course it'd help if people know to search for Scoll and not Scrolls like it should be -_-'.

(yeah, the post was about 7 days old, but figured it worth responding to)

    ====

As for drop rates, I can only speak from SCA since I've been at work all day. But out of two full tier 3 runs, I've gotten 8 lock boxes. Not bad for doing something to just fill the time.

The Tymora Enchants I'll have to play with, but I'm not sure if I want them replacing my Blessing of the Feywild enchantments or not just yet.

Yeah, surprisingly SCA offers the best ratio in the boxes it seems. A Tier 2 dungeon (~5 minutes) will land you 2-4 boxes.

The drop rate is pitiful. The internal cooldown makes the gift a pain to farm. New enchantments are nice, but why rank 1-2? And now we get only 2k rough ADs instead of 10k? What a shame. Why do the devs keep adding subpar rewards and giving even less event after event?

It might be wiser not to open the gift boxes just yet till we figure out if dropping less than 10k RAD is as intended or a bug too... hopefully an official post will confirm that soon...

During two hours farming, I had opened 10K RAD one time. The rest are 2k RAD or so.

I just cleared two tier 2 adventures, and each time I got only 2 boxes. It seemed to be patched?

I'm not sure if there's a time barrier. I seem to be picking them up at a rate similar to what I did the first time they ran the event . . . rather I'm guessing that only one box drops per fight (I believe the fey blessing enchantments work like this as well). So all you can get from those 50 hulk maps is one box.

The trade-off is that you can now get the boxes from trash mobs as well as elites, which I think is fair.

In the shadow of all the complaints about the recent patch I'm going to post one that commends a part of it

The gift of tymora boxes brings alot of joy and useful things to players at the moment, and I'm very thankful for that, and I think they should consider letting it "rain" on players in terms of these kind of drops more often. Looking forward to see what comes next :)

Yeas, I have to agree about these box thingies. Finally getting some useful stuff dropping. Haven't gotten any eggs yet but the AD is nice as are the various potions, the couple of high-end potions I've gotten, or had, I should say, depending on how they address this snafu that happened today.

I managed to scrounge up 30 boxes in about an hour's grinding. I got a dragon egg, a 1k RAD drop, and an assortment of potions, green/blue profession stuff and those tymora enchants.

If this is about the drop rate for the new tymora boxes, then I won't be breaking my back to grind for them like the last time.

Err..... two questions about the Fools Crown of Neverwinter:

    >> Why does it cost 51k to transmute even though it should be free?

    >> I saw that the Fools Crown makes the character's hair disappear into thin air, is this working as intended?

Leveled a toon from 10 to 26. Received 70 tymora's gift boxes. Got 1x 2000 RAD, and the rest were consumables with best professions items being blue and some tymora enchants 1 and 2 ranks. No crown or dragon egg out of the 70 boxes.

Where can I find Tymora lucky coin in the AH?
Or is it bound or bugged?

Bugged, there doesn't seem to be a flag. It's BoE, apparently. May see if I can buy one from someone with a spare. Over 150 boxes so far. I've gotten absolutely nothing of any value. No dragon eggs, best was 2k AD, one or two blue profession resources, rest is green resources and potions. Incredibly lame for me this time. Last time I got a good 12 eggs, several crowns, blue armors from the AD exchange, etc, and I didn't open as many boxes as I have this time. :/

The first issue is a bug, which will probably be fixed next time they do maintenance, so hang onto your crown(s).

The second is a weird behavior of the item preview window - copy one of your characters to the preview shard, (make sure they have the crown in their inventory), and actually equip the crown - their hair should still show.

I couldn't find one at the AH either.
Was hoping they'd fix this so I wouldn't have to box hunt all weekend.
