Hopefully they introduce a new fashion item instead of the Fool's Crown (which looks a little shabby imo), or make it BoA at least. :D

I hope they get rid of the transmute cost on it too.

I'm hoping that at this point they make the Fool's Crown (if reused) into a free transmute. I've got a bunch of them (one per due to careful box management), and I do like it better than most helms.

I saw in trade chat last night that one of our friendly neighbourhood opportunists was trying to unload old Tymora boxes. The number available was slowly going down.

Yep, the cost scrap will be nice.

Seeing how fashion items from the latest few events have Free Appearance Change in them, think that'll most likely apply to it too.

I wonder if the current rise in AD vs Zen prices are due to anticipation of this event starting? Was about 400AD/Zen (and going up) before the maintenance today.

Yes, that was the same conclusion I came to also. (Mainly because I couldn't figure out any other reason....)

If you only paid 35k, then that is probably the non-socketed version; the socketed versions are more like 150k (or more).

i can guarantee that I have bought 3 or 4 gemmed shirts and pants at that low price of <50k AD

Lately? If so, then you must have been really lucky with a last-minute bid.

I could see it during times when the dragon eggs are cheap and plentiful though.

The preview server still doesn't have a description for the event after the latest update. They did however add a new event for the start of next month.

That sounds interesting , I wonder what it is connected with , actual dungeons or maybe it could be some incentive to run foundry's finally what with foundry creators basically being DM's for that instance ,it'll be interesting to find out.

Looks interesting, but considering it starts on April Fool's Day, it is probably a "silly-themed" event - I really wouldn't expect any significant rewards - more like just a bit of fun.
    Hoping for improvements...

Ugh how did I miss that , serves me right for posting before I have had my morning coffee hit , hope it is a real event and not just a way to get us all to speculate before hitting us with ''no event... April fools!'' then commence the forum raging

The rewards could be significant but be silly. Stuff like another mimic companion, cube mount, etc. Given that this won't be on the weekend, hopefully whatever the rewards are they won't require a ton of work to get.

    Interesting info here:

I notice it says nothing about Dragon's Eggs this time, just the False crown.....

Also says that the gifts contain 'brand new items' I seriously hope they haven't wrecked the event ,it was outstanding last time.

I bet there will be Epic r3-r4 enchantments and potions instead of dragon eggs and RAD.

Well, potions wouldn't be new. That is what dropped out of them last time.

By 'new' I don't think they mean Brand New. I think it's just items that were not
in these boxes last time. Probably peridots and scrolls. Personally I would LIKE
to get a few more Dragon Eggs.

A rare Lockbox Key drop would be interesting, if unlikely.

They stated they would keep up informed of the new items etc but so far as with the last call to arms there was nothing after the preview update.

The always wait until the last minute to post the full article about the event. This is nothing new.

Though usually we have a description in the calendar to see what we will be getting before they post the article.

The calendar was finally updated on the preview server at some point last night. Here is some screenshots:

Also included a new companion in the collection system.

Looks very promising! Thanks dardrove for providing the screenies :)
Seems like with the Crown being BtA and the other rewards BoP you can really spread out boxes and distribute rough ADs evenly. Tymora has been a fan-favorite and it looks like it'll remain that way :D

I still would very much like to know if the old Gifts are converted.

Last time around, I opened all the boxes on my main since I wasn't aware of using the ZAX to move ADs for free. I didn't have rank 20 leadership and it still took forever to clear out the RAD. This time around, I'm going to move the boxes around and open them on all my chars and use the RAD to slack off of leadership and work on other professions. OTOH it's also tempting to start a new character and have them open boxes for a faster return.

I used to have a big stock of the test tube looking ones for use in Alchemy. Then I decided the inventory space was worth more. Then more recently I was leveling Alchemy on a character and found out how expensive those pots are on the AH. Still can't bring myself to farm Blacklake on an epic character. If it snows again tonight and tomorrow is a day off, the temptation to start a new char may be too much.

One reason minor and lesser potions are worth so much is because the only way to get them as drops is from invoking and from appropriate-to-your-level RNG boxes. Only healing potions drop from chests and monsters until level 30. So farming Blacklake wouldn't make a difference.

So, the only thing I want from the gift box is RAD and they have nerfed the amount... I don't care for the pots and the new (useless) enchantment....the crown is of no interest to me too..looks like I won't be farming this weekend...

No, they haven't. Tymora gifts always dropped 10k. Perhaps you've got them confused with some of the rewards from the Waukeen event.
