The irony of this is thinking of the non-italians trying to fake themselves as italians to get a promotion that an italian like me does not care about in the slightest. :P

Feel free to register for it and send me the code. :)

For the warm satisfaction of doing something nice for a stranger and increasing the happiness in the world of course! :)

Well, now that you've proposed such a carefully reasoned argument, how can I refuse?

    ...

Ah, that's right, by saying "no". I remembered. ='D

Besides, for the sake of the argument, the dissatisfacion of me going through the ordeal of getting you the code could be as much as (if not higher than) the satisfaction you obtain from the new title and potions, so I doubt that the global happiness in the world would increase.

    ...

**** server maintenance, look what it's doing!

LOL, ah but you're not taking into account the increased joy I will have on an ongoing basis each time I log in and see the title. So there would be a considerably increased global net happiness as it would be a consistent increase! ;)

If sites are going to do that then they should not be allowed to give out those offers.
I understand their basic position really: A site only agrees to host a promotion like this in hopes to increase their regular traffic (aka advertising revenue). People who aren't likely to be speak their language aren't really going to do this. Also, since they have a limited bundle of codes (250 in this case I believe) they may also feel codes might be taken that would otherwise be going to the specific users they regularly service.

The real issue is that there are codes / promotions that can only be found in specific countries without a lot of work. In my opinion every new promotion should be available at least one site for each of the languages supported, and then after some time gap make them available again via some other means (Zen sale, promotion rerun, etc).

. . .I do agree on the notion that this Italian site should not have a promotion such as this if it is not open to the general public. It seems they are indeed regionally blocking users from registering.

    This seems very reasonable.

I don't really have a problem with a specific site wanting their limited code availability to go to their regular users instead of a bunch of people who just showed up wanting the free thingy, never to log in again.

But I am also sympathetic to completeist collectors who must have all the things. :P

Master of Polyhedrons was actually offered in the US first. It is actually one of the oldest promotions (besides the PC Gamer Magazine horses). http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?109971-D-amp-D-Encounters-promo-code-not-working/page2

But yes, ways to get these promotions would be nice.

Picked up a new title from a giveaway in a stream. Faerun Sightseer. It also came with a Vanguard pack. It will probably be giving out like Tribal Mask was in the past.

Semi-related. There is a retail copy of the game in Germany.

    http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00FYJQCBS/

Comes with the High Forest Bear mount, a 110% mount and 200 Zen (which can only be redeemed in Europe).

High Forest Bear looks like the armored bear, but is colored differently and is missing some of the details on the armor.

Okay so the bear seems cool enough conceptually, but $2 worth of zen? What would you even do with that? :)

Buy 2 keys when they are sale?

Edit: Here is a picture with the description and the icon.

Great, I'll add that to the wiki. Just to confirm, the bear can be redeemed in the US, just not the zen?

Yeah, the Zen comes as Paysafe Card info. You can't get an option less than 500 Zen in the US for it, but in Europe you can.

The Bear comes as a standard promo code.

How does one get the code in the US since this promotion is apparently in the box? I'm assuming you have to have a friend in Europe who'll get the box in the mail and give you the code.

In theory, you should be able to get it mailed to the US, but mine was shipped to another player who lived in Europe who then gave me the codes when the boxes arrived.

The OnRPG and MMOHuts links need to be moved down to ended promos, they both say they have no keys left.
