What I want to know is why the Wod Elfs do not have a +2 str option in the pen and paper game its one of the core abilitys for that type of elf
In Fourth Edition Forgotten Realms "Wood Elves" are considered "Elves" in the ruling and as such get +2 Dex and +2 Widsom or Intelligence. This is straight out of the Fourth Eidition Player Handbook.
Truly, if you see a discrepancy in what you think things should be and what things are please check the Fourth Edition Rules before you call foul. In the last year every single time somebody has pointed out how the lore/rules are wrong it is because they are citing old or out of date rules.
why for the love of god stop adding **** to a bugged out game fix these problems first before adding any new HAMSTER ontop of it everyone wants a new class and paths thats a given but putting more HAMSTER ontop of the broken/bugged problems isnt the best of ideas

This to infinity, 4e changed a lot of things, a lot of it for the better (better balance between classes at all level ranges, the removal of racial immunities, (Some individuals can be immune to certain types of attacks but this is mainly through abilities or magic items) especially from low level mobs (remember feeling useless as an Ice focused mage or a rogue specialising in backstab attacks when facing a load of low level zombies?)

I'll wager that new classes and paragon paths are coming as soon as they figure out how to charge you all for them without making it seem like they're going back on their word like they did with not charging for races.

I'll wager that the new paragon paths will be on the test server by the end of september, and the new class on test by the end of October with both being launched before Christmas.
I'll also wager that not only will the new class and paragon paths be free, but that they'll also give everyone a respec token in order to allow them to switch their builds to the new paragon paths.
Also I don't recall a promise to never charge for races, classes yes, but not races.
Thanks all for the feedback as well as theories when.

Ok I Know a lot of people are probably tired of seeing a thread like this, and before I get flamed let me say that I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY love this game, I have a great guild, lots of stuff to do, people to do it with, and so forth, but, I would love to see a new class, I am tired of seeing the "Coming Soon" Icon, like I'm sure a lot of us are. I have noticed a serious lack in ranged and healing options in the classes. The latter isn't too much of a problem to me because there really should only be like one or two classes.
With the release of the Fury of the Feywild expansion, there could only be two logical choices for a new class, to stay in the whole nature theme. Druids and Rangers, a healer or ranged DPS, which is something this game is seriously lacking. You can't really call it Dungeons and Dragons without either of the two though to be honest. I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons since Second Edition back when I was like six or seven.
I bought my Knight of the Feywild pack, just to see this game stay a live. Ever since Open Beta, me and my fiance leveled from 1-60, Made a bunch of friends, and created a guild, both of us have been curious about this, and would like to know when and if this new class will ever come out. We both are being relatively patient about it, but still you don't just have an Icon on your new Character Creation Menu for a "Coming Soon" class, that's just not right. It makes people legitimately think there's a new class on the way, when there might not be one at all. I haven't heard any news on the new class just forum posts like this asking the very same question I have just asked. Please don't flame me I really just am curious about this. Not to mention now would probably be the best time for the release on a new class just based on how awesomely Feywild has been doing.
... Ranger is a martial class in 4e... You might have more luck getting Seeker for a primal archer class. As for ETA on new class, we have at best the promise of by the end of the year. So within the next 4 months. The game has only been officially live for 2 months. I am also a guild leader and while i do want a new class, i can wait due to my leveling the rest of my toons while working full time and sharing the comp. i am at 3 classes level 60, almost all over 10k GS in T2 sets, i need to finish my fighters so that no matter what everyone in my guild wants to run i can fill slots in the party. Then i have at least 2 other builds for the fighters i wanna do plus my second TR (had to make a Jarlaxle when drow were released since i am leader of Bregan D'aerthe Neverwinter Cell)

I get your point Chaelk, I'm just concerned if we wait for the bugs to be fixed, new or old, then we will never see a new class in this game. Hell, I'd even settle for a few new paragon paths at this point!

They said to expect the new class "by the end of the year".

Gamers are a fickle bunch, and new mounts or companions will only keep their interest for so long. It's pretty much accepted that players can burn through new content faster than devs can create it, so adding new ways to replay the existing content is paramount - i.e. new classes. I, and I'm sure many others, have 1 of each class at 60, so there's little incentive to start from scratch. For many, a new class *is* that incentive.
That being said, I feel that this game needs a non-magical ranged DPS class, (archer), another form of tank, (possibly something magical), and another healer, (maybe some sort of healing alchemist or shaman).

This game has so much potential, I believe the next class would be more closely related to a druid or a druid itself....semi healing / nature magic. This will sync hand to hand in this fury of the feywild expansion. Would be nice to see a ranger too but I'm betting druid would be closer.

Also I don't recall a promise to never charge for races, classes yes, but not races.
I recall the statement that "all core content will be free. Now and in the future.", which included races, but somehow they finagled races out of the 'core content' definition.
I recall it because I followed several threads back in staged beta testing very closely, as it was a dealbreaker for me. I decided to extend some trust, and it seems that it was misplaced in my opinion, and that's all I'll say on the matter, due to heavy-handed and intolerant moderators.

I've pointed out many ways in which the rules of this game don't follow 4th edition.
I'm just looking at their track record.. 1 month became 2 then fall, now "end of year". Figured by fall it would be "next year".
But that's the thing, where did they post anything different then "by the end of the year"? AFAIK, they've been saying this since a few weeks after launch.
I doubt this game will keep its decent player base until the end of the year unless there are major updates coming. At the moment, it doesn't seem like Feywild alone will keep players interested in this game for another 3 months. Hopefully we see some exciting stuff soon.

Can you please post where you got this information from?
Because as of just the other day, it was "by the end of the year".

Now I agree, we need more classes. And yes, I think by the end of the year is far too long. But this is old news by now.
