Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to give you an update. I have been working hard on version 2.0 of chapters 1 - 4 and chapter 5 is nearing completion. I am going to be taking a break this weekend to recharge my batteries and hope to have these updates and the new chapter out by the following weekend. Or at the very least chapter 5 will be released as 2.0 requires all 4 chapters to be completed together.
Please continue to enjoy my stories and sit tight. I know a lot of you have been mailing me asking me where chapter 5 is.... sadly i have to say "soon" and develop a new understanding of why it is put in quotes.
Hi. I have to say that I have enjoyed this campaign a lot so far. Planescape was one of my favorite settings, so I am very glad to see it used well here.
One hang-up I did have was in the chapter with the Abyss, but it was my fault and not yours. The look and feel of the abyss was very well done, IMO. I was able to find the side quest of the amulet very easy, but had a hell of a time finding the path to continue the main story. After I did find the right path, I wanted to smack my head against the wall because of how easy to see the path actually was.
<spoiler> When I entered the chamber that the main path branched off of, I assumed the main path was past the gathering of demons, which is what led me to easily find the amulet. While it was easy to see, I didn't expect the main story path to split off the chamber before them. I wasted perhaps an hour trying to find it. If that was an intentional use of misdirection, then I must say it was well played.

Haha thank you very much. The Amulet was supposed to be the "challenging" part to find. Though for a cutter like you, it isn't that difficult honestly. The pathing is fairly linear in there. It is just made confusing by rocks, and effects. You would be surprised how many people tell me they can't find the stairs.
(spoiler)
The stairs are stupid easy to find, press M.

I am glad you are enjoying the story so far though!

To be honest, I loved story part of this campaign. But I had to quit at the third one (I think it was the third part of the campaign.) Anyway, I'm not sure if it's because of the foundries scaling to level and that levels become increasingly hard around level 40 (I'm level 42) or if it's because some of the encounters are meant for group content.
Admittedly I am not an uber player, I'm pretty average (my husband say's I'm just a tad above, but I realize he's biased) and regardless of which companion I brought with me (playing solo) I just couldn't get past one of the encounters (I think it was the third bridge?) I tried a variety of companions that are all leveled up (the cleric, the man at arms, and my vicious dire wolf) and every time I crashed and burned on it.
Now it could be I'm just a crappy player. Or it could be that it was meant for group content, only you, the author can answer that for me I guess. But if it was meant to be group, then a label on the description would have been helpful and I'd have saved myself the frustration of getting really into what I believe to be a great story and not being able to finish it, OR if the quests are meant to be either, then a difficulty slider would have been great and is in fact doable as I've played two foundries now that included sliders for solo vs. group content.
Anyway, GREAT campaign in my humble opinion. Wish I could have completed it. Wish I could prod my husband into helping me complete it, but unfortunately he's lost his glow for this game while I am still enraptured by it.

Hello!
Yeah the foundry scales pretty roughly with the higher levels. The encounter you are speaking of can be a bit challenging, mainly because the platform is not all that large to run around with. If you would like I would be more than happy to help you get past this and the next part of the story so that you can see where Chapter 4 leaves you off at until I am finished with Chapter 5 and have it published.
I have a Guardian Fighter around level 44 that I could bring and we could knock it out.
If not my advice in that fight is to take out everything but the ravisher first. Focus on the ranged guys and the squishy targets, have your potions and dodge button ready. It is meant to be a challenge, but not head ache inducing. I am sorry you have not managed to get past that part solo yet.
Feel free to contact me if you would like to have that run through it. I will be online roughly 9 AM EST tomorrow, but could arrange to run it later than that. Also you could ask questions about the characters and such if you liked.
Thank you very much! I will try it solo with your tip, then whine again to the hubby, and if that all fails, I'll contact you. Again, thank you!
Anytime! Keep mobile, use the whole platform to your advantage, and avoid the silver tagged bad guy, save her for last. She has a slow attack but at your level if you aren't careful it will take off half your life if you let it hit you.

I just wanted to update everyone. I still plan on releasing version 2.0 of chapters 1 - 4 and chapter 5 is progressing nicely. I have been taking a couple days break from the game and building in order to recharge my creative batteries. I will be back at it here soon.

Not sure if this has been mentioned either I found a bug or I screwed up nicely.... I found the frightened stable girl and defeated the first wave... then i defeated the second wave but it didn't trigger anything... i still have the quest saying i need to defend her from the second wave...... anywhere i go it wants me to go back to the stable area......
I guess I have to start over
I'm working on Chapter 1 and when i talk to the noble woman, the quest objectives don't update or give any notification that I'm moving on. I can get into the basement, and the noble woman shows up down there.. but nothing happens.

Hey Matt, This is due to the conversation being a bit too big and you clicking "done" instead when talking with the noble woman press the "1" key. This happens with smaller than 1920x1080 resolution, or if you are not playing the game in full screen mode.
rj7766 - sorry that you ran into that bug. I am not honestly sure what is causing it, as it works fine for me and a lot of my friends and others. I will look in there while doing my 2.0 updates and see if there is something awry.

So they pulled all my quests down for the latest patch.
Unfortunately I am not complete with version 2.0 upgrades, but chapter one has many of those upgrades already in place. What this means is I can not re-upload chapter 1 until i fully update chapters 1 - 4 to version 2.0.

I will try and finish up 2.0 upgrades this coming week. And finish chapter 5 as well.
