I have a full time job, I play for 3-4 hours most days, am working on my 4th Character, have been playing for 8 months, spend about £50 per month. Since I started there have more and more restrictions on the game. I work as fast as I can to make AD’s total about 50k a day, so when I earn and spend time accruing items I could use on my other characters I find I can’t because they are bound to Character, simple stuff like feywild sparks, I have 2500 on my main, can’t move, bound, now you can buy them for instant completion, great if you have loads of money, my currency tab was full so I had to ditch stuff that I had accumulated for the summer fest’, stuff I could have sent to other characters, I find that this game is getting more and more unfair for what I would refer to as normal players. I think Neverwinter are spoiling the game, they make the game more exciting with the additions but make it out of reach for people who don’t play for 26 hours a day or have limitless bank facilities, come on Neverwinter make things fair for the little guys, it doesn’t have to be all about the money
Well i started the game right before TOD launched.. got my CW to about 52 then rerolled to Lock.. ive hit 60 recently.. and did some pvp here and there and noticed i was getting destroyed.. utterly... so i recently spent a couple hundred $. Insta completing 2 time restricted quest chains to get boons to even compete in pvp.. and tbh just those 2 was roughly $100 for insta complete. grinding those out would of taken god knows how long considering i also have about the same play time as you do with work. not to mention im pretty sure you get alot less "marks" turn in currency insta completing then actually doing it. so basically all these f2p games pretty much force you to pay.. they should be renamed P2C.. pay to compete.. because otherwise.. you will be sadly mistaken if you think for a second you will be able to without spending money. anyone who says otherwise still lives in their moms basement. and more power to him.
Now on to the Gear.. good luck trying to que up for a dungeon of some sort. there are so many bots etc running in this game that you get automatically 2 X's.. and have to re-que.. 3 hours of queing up and not once did i get a 5 man team.. so my advice to you buddy. invest more money or just stick to casual.. because what ive been spending on this game.. im sure there are others who are paying 100s aswell.. if not more.. because im at about 14k gs and still getting my HAMSTER handed to me in pvp.. lol makes no sense but o well..

You spend 50pounds a month. YOU ARE THE LIMITLESS BANK PLAYER.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with you.
From a business perspective so many companies don't know what their doing.
Why is that? Well, the brains behind the product decide to do the marketing/selling themselves instead of hire a knowledgeable person to do it.
With video games it seems to be more and more the case of the computer programmer does the programming, concepts, design, balance, etc...
In most other industries there is a division of labour.
Example:
Developers buy the lot and manage the budget.
Architect designs the house
General Contractor hires the various workers
Framers build the house
electricians wire the house
plumbers do the piping
Painters paint.
etc....
So what I'm saying is that Neverwinter needs an architect to design the overall game and deal with the balance issues. Then HE TELLS THE PROGRAMMERS what to do.

I know that this may not solve all of your problems, but you are sitting on literally MILLIONS of AD there. Those "Useless" Feywild Sparks? They are used to make Lesser Fey Blessings. Last I checked those were selling for around 65000 EACH. That would give you, in Fey Blessings alone, about 2,800,000 AD. Now, in order to get that many Sparks, you will have killed enough critters to get a LOT of Femorian Extracts. You use these to buy Crescents. You use to Crescents to buy Potions Of Heroism. Those sell for quite a bit on the AH, and you likely have enough to nearly match you Fey Blessing Hoard. So, you are probably sitting on somewhere around FIVE MILLION AD just from the "Garbage" you are complaining about not being able to use.
Hope this helps.

Just a note on those fey blessings.... They were only selling for about 50K a week ago, not sure now. in addition to the sparks you need 20K to make one. And it takes a day of waiting. Since all those sparks are on one character it will take forever to get get that much from them now.

Just had to say something in regards to this and above post. Been playing for a couple months, same as above 2-3 hours a night. And I have to say your off base. I have a 60 HR with a good set of t1 and halfway through t2. Not to mention a 45 Dc and a 43 SW. If you put a few hours in a night it is not hard to get the gear. Also, there isnt and issue with dungeon ques, not sure what you are talking about in regards tobotsin que, haven't run into that. The reason it is taking so long in que for your SW, is quite simple, you are competing for that spot against a BUTTLOAD of SWs at this time.
yes purchase can make it easier, but you can gear up just fine f2p. Now this is pve, I could care less about pvp personally.

Even with the worst case scenario that is STILL an 850,000 AD profit after about a month.
A substantial chunk of change when you look at his situation. And, again, after selling off Heroism Potions for quick cash that gives him a tidy nest egg.

Quick question for you:
That 50 Pounds that you spend each month (about, what, $75.00 US?), does that include Lockboxes?
If so, have you been saving your Trade Bars?
Because if you have, and you have been running the Daily Solo Dungeons in Sharendar (either Gnarl or Celandine) then you may want to consider investing some of that into Col Wards and building a few Greater Terrors and/or Elven Battle Enchants (depending on which shards you have the most of). Just check the AH for prices, but you might just have the stuff to make an Enchant worth many millions. This would require substantial investment and a lot of research, and it would likely be best if you bought either lesser or regulars on the AH and used your shards to Refine them out and the Tradebar Col Wards to finish. But there are MUCH better guides than me available on these Forums than me when it comes to that particular way to make AD.

Meh $100 isn't much honestly to save 1-2 months of grinding depends on your finances of course but I spend alot more then that on supper most nights and that is an hour "convenience" at most (by which I mean it takes about an hour to do and saves me the hassle of making and cleaning up after myself and family at home). I would have done this had it been offered when I played my 8 toons through those areas as the repetition was monotonous to say the least

Where do you sell the sparks? I have 200 of them, tried to put them on AH last night, and it says cant sell.

You don't sell the sparks ... you do the campaign task that gives you a lesser fey blessing enchant. Actually, if you get 10 sparks per day from the daily quests and add the sparks form the weekly quest (arcane reservoir) and the 6-day celestial coin reward, you can make around two enchants per week....which gives you a really nice profit.

You have to complete the Assist Ritual Magic task in Sharandar to get a Lesser Feywild Enchantment that you can sell on the AH. Check your Sharandar Campaign map and look on the upper left side.

Sounds good in theory, and I get where you're coming from. Of course, specialists want top dollar for their work, which is one of the reasons why the "little guy" can't afford a new house (to continue with the analogy).
You also have to remember that you are playing the Warlock newest class so there is limited inventory on the AH and it will be very pricy for the fact that the items haven't been dropping for that long of a time and its the flavor of the month (everyone is playing a warlock and gearing them up) it would be a lot cheaper to gear up another class atm.
he was saying how unfair the difference between people who pay with real life money and people who pay with their time
Time IS more valuable than money. But I dont want to get philosophical about this. In short, if this is the problem, then there is no problem. This game is not a pay 2 win. That means that people should not be able, are not, and (I hope) never will be able to just cash in ZEN and get to endgame like people that played this game for months or years are.

PM me your gear/enchants/mounts and I can help you budget what you will spend the $50 on.
If I had spent $50 each month during your timeframe, I would've had almost BIS gear already (rank 9s instead of 10s)
