Well I really have mix feeling about all these stuff... While I LOVE design of cloak. I still don't like whole situation (did we get statement what happens to those that heavily exploited it - I only hope it is not "lets forget about it"). Also it seems that 7h seems bit too short time.
Now, if they only could make the cloaks not go through your body when you are mounted...
Care to actually make sense now? or do you just want to keep banging your head off the metaphorical brick wall which has a large neon sign on it stating "you're wrong" perhaps?

Reading comprehension evades you? I will make it plain and simple for you: Those of us who actually understand the game and are already 60, benefit in zero (none, nil, nothing) from this "compensation package". It is just another ploy for you to spend money to reskin the "harrowkitty" cloak, only benefits the "kiddies" who just started a day before this event happened and are still leveling, IE making use of the x2 xp tokens.

I appreciate the XP boosters on my level 60 CW because it applies to the companion's XP, as well, and leveling the cat is tedious when you are done with questing. I had it for two weeks and it's still only rank 23.
Weren't Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair there from the beginning? Not to mention few 10-man raids.
I don't believe that Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair were in the game at launch. Before the first expansion (Burning Crusade), yes, I think so, but NOT at launch.
As for ten man raids, I think that those came in with Burning Crusade as a response to the difficulty of getting together a forty man raid without any really effective grouping technique.
Please bear in mind, that I'm not a raider and my memory may well be at fault. My recollections may or may not be correct.
I just need some compensation for my time. Maybe a small amount of zen ? They can keep the xp bonus tokens and give me a token that auto levels me a set amount based on the average levels gained by a player during a 7 hr play period. But like with all these mmo companies they are going to do what they are going to do and thats that.

Of course it is. What more do you want? They didn't even need to give us anything.
This is the most acceptable answer. I was gonna say the wexact same thing. Especially since it's still Beta and all. Good on them. They've pleased me, at least, and I wasn't expecting anything other than the assurance that such an exploit would be fixed and exploiters punished.

That's what I want every time my computer breaks down or a bug causes a gamestop. Compensation for my time. Like as if mr Bill Gates would be so kind as sending a few bucks my way for all the time lost due to windows bugs causing freeze and what not. Really no sarcasm here

both MC and onyxia were in the game at launch. You could also count blackrock spire as a raiding zone.
As for the topic at hand. The compensation is pretty much garbage to me. I'm sorry, I'm already max level with a maxed companion and I don't give a rat *** about cosmetics. Give me 7 celestial coins instead and I'll be ok.

Health stone- big ty to gm's/devs and all the neverwinter gods!
Cape - ? ig chat has already mocked it better than i could.
Mask - kind of different, been cool if it had a low lvl stat with it- but very interesting look.
Over all- would have rathered a wipe- but I do appreciate the effort you all made.
My verdict ...
... Thank You! You did not have to do anything and this was thoughtful (err minus said cape =P).

Apparently MC and OL were added November 7th, 2004. US launch was November 23rd and EU launch was few months later. With 10-man raids I meant Stratholme and Upper (and Lower?) Blackrock Depths. I have no idea if they were there at the launch though.

Considering I was 100% unaffected by the rollback, I'm okay with this.
Also, the name is hilarious.
My girlfriend and I lost 6 coins and did not get our enchant/ward for it. That is 6 days wasted. I do not care about vanity items and most of the pack was that. I lose my 6 coins and a chance at some thing I might actually use and get nothing that I will use as a thank you for not trying to ruin the game. No, this pack was not acceptable in my opinion for the 14hrs of downtime when all I need was 2 minutes at any point during that time to push control I and then buy my ward pack. If the pack had a ward or even a profession pack then fine, I would have just lost the option to play and I can deal with that.
Of course, what is done is done and the exploiters completely screwed the rest of the player base over.

And you seem to have a very severe lack of reading comprehension yourself so I guess that makes two of us. You also jumped right into the offensive so readily which only further serves to make out anyone who see's real issue with this game but also that it's not completely beyond repair (but hold no real hope for it being salvaged) are nothing more than irrational spammers who have to resort to ad hominem, so honestly I wish players like you would make good on your threats and actually leave. because clearly, you're unable to do anything but attack others on matters that are pointless to attack them over.
So they released a very vapid and unnecessary "consolation/survivors package" it's asinine yeah, but it's something that they didn't HAVE to do, you are arguing against something that by it's very nature, makes you seem moronic to argue against, if it was on PWE's agenda to discredit those that feel as you do, then you walk RIGHT into the trap, all they have to do is trigger your outrage buttons and you do the rest for them. And in doing so you further create the illusion that anyone who has a bit of an issue with their monetization directions, handling of situations and lack of transparency is nothing more than a "self entitled" immature child. You degrade us all by feeding others HAMSTER nuggets as ammo to sling back at us.
And all because you just want to vent your outrage in a temper tantrum without actually using your big boy brain.
It wasn't political either. Last month, I had some issues with my 3G for 3-4 days. Called the company, ranted a bit, got a month for free. That was expected. It's normal.
Here the consumer service is rather pathetic: you can lose up to one week of in-game progression (celestial coins) and you only get some fashion items and vendor trash. That's not being parasitic, that's just common sense, if no one ever complains about what a company does (or doesn't do) to apologize when it makes a mistake it will happen again.
The difference is that one is a paid telecommunication services, while the other a completly free gaming services.
Inb4 "I spent money on this." Yes, you spent money on specific item and services. So except if those actually turn out to be non working or not doing as advertise, nobody is going to take you too seriously.
On Sunday I spent time trying to advance my character in a game that I've invested time and money into. In the end, I lost that advancement and all the things associated with it (rare drops, celestial coins, levels etc). I also now have time and money invested into a game that seems horribly tainted by exploitation, and their "fix" of a 7 hour rollback did not solve that problem to my satisfaction. On top of this, it's because a of a bug that the development team received multiple warnings about, yet failed to fix in a timely manner before it could do damage to the game.
To suggest that they should not feel like they owe anyone anything is just ludicrous. They certainly owe a lot more than what they gave. At a bare minimum they owe us a complete fix, not the half measures they did for show.

Personally, I like the idea of getting some compensation for me not being able to play. WoW and CoH both did something similar and would give you credit on your subscription when the server was down for a significant part of the day. Since they obviously can't extend subscriptions, this is a very acceptable solution. In fact, although I don't need the EXP, the healthstone could be extremely handy, and the cape is hilarious. I love the idea that they got this cape out there so quickly in response, and it shows that they have a sense of humor as well.
Also FWIW, the fact that less than 1,000 people have even bothered to vote on this poll goes to prove that MOST of the players in this game never bother reading the forums, and will probably have no idea what this consolation package is even about.
i've been enjoying this game for free since ob. they don't owe me anything. i would have been perfectly happy with no appreciation package. it's the people that choose to pour far too much time and money into a video game that get upset. then they call their outrage "logical." yet they can never apply logic when making the decision "should i spend 19 hours playing this game today?"

I do believe that it was stated all items are bound to the character that receives the items.

The XP boosters are account bound, so sending them to an alt should work.

At the same time....4k XP?! That's laughable on any toon level 20 or higher.

Stratholme and Scholomance were also 10-man dungeons at launch (EU launch too). They became 5-man dungeons only later on.

If you chargeback? Nearly zero, plus you get banned from all PWE games, present and future.
If you apply for a refund? Nearly zero, but you don't get banned.
Wicks and Things: NW-DI4FMZRR4 : The Fenwick merchant family has lost a caravan! Can you help?
Beggar's Hollow: NW-DR6YG4J2L : Someone, or something, has stolen away many of the Fenwicks' children! Can you find out what happened to them?

It says it is account bound, so you should be able to.
