When I was younger, I had this fascination with Elves of any rpg - natural affinity to magic, keen senses, lives long. But now, I identify myself with Humans more, mainly because whenever I play rpgs now, I try to envision myself as the character and it just feels weird to not be Human.
So long story short:
Main character - Human.
Alts (in order of preference) - Eladrin (if we get them), Elf, Drow, Tiefling, others.

Hmmm I wonder what I will be playing...
DWARF YOU FOOL!
Who said that?
Anyways Dwarf GWF! All the way!
Tried Tiefling Trickster was lots of fun this weekend. Probably also a Halfling and or Half-Orc Rogue.
And eventually a Menzo Drow or Elf Control Wizard.

Tiefling, Although I'm may go against the grain and create a Greatsword Fighter one..and Get the most epic armor Boss style armor I can find. My dream is to one day be standing in the middle of town and have other players go " HOLY EXPLETIVE WHAT IS A BOSS DOING IN THE MIDDLE OF TOWN! .....oh wait thats just a player....wow, I've gotta get that armor". Unless you shock us with some surprise dragonborn...then Same as above with them!

I'd have to say I'm looking forward to plying a Trickster Rogue so I'm either going human or halfling with that, but man there's always been a soft spot for dwarves in my heart.
If only we could make our own companion NPCs, eh? That's a good suggestion.
I will probably be a human. This is the first game I have been interested in where humans dont look weird. I really dont know anything about any of the races perks though.

I personally can not wait to play as a Halfling Thief, I have always loved playing as a halfling and will continue to love them in the days to come. And while I can not justify the beta founder pack's cost, I do look forward to playing in at launch, unless I can get a key prior to that.
Half Elf! I have loved them, and the Forgotten Realms ever since I began playing D&D ages ago!! Thank you so much for bringing such a wonderful world back to us!!

Dwarven cleric, with a beard that touches the floor !!!
As I plan to mess around in the foundry and "build" my own dungeons. Of coarse I have to select the best builders ever! the great and mighty dwarfs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and if my dungeons don't turn out how I like them... well I can always drink some good old dwarven ale.
...hic!

I'm mainly looking forward to playing a Drow because they're awesome, but I may try Elf or Half Elf to.
The Bird of Hermes is my name. Eating my wings to make me tame.
