Not sure what to say to devs at this point

Why bind enchantments that players turn in, after you made them obsolete, after you made them BIS, to encourage buys on your store and players built around?
Why tout the "players wont be worse off", when players capped on stats now have under 40% on most stats? You think they wont notice?
The list can go on, i encourage others to post issues they feel are blatantly showing the game wants people to quit. I expect @nitocris83 to say nothing, or address the actions and comments they have made, which are making players quit the game. Saddened more than anything many friends have already quit and many more are on way out. I expect to get changes that make your company money, but i dont understand how youll make more money if the majority quit. At least everyone has AD from you killing bondings, which you pushed for how many years? And then allowed on augments, which created one of the biggest problems. I hope things get fixed, but at this point, the devs have acted like they dont care if people quit that have kept their game going.

I just would love to see a comment from all the people spinning this as an improvement in gameplay . Haven’t seen one post today . Why the hell would I want to go back to an area I struggled with , adapted , overcame etc .,Finished it and became a beast through purchases and grinding to only go back to grind fest and fighting tooth n nail all over again in an area I completed a year ago just for some legacy quest
Really ?
Progression ?
I’ll sit back and see how this debacle gets straightened out . I hope they figure it out .18 -
I am in an alliance with some VERY long time players and it seems many love the changes. I do not. I guess it all depends on if you are fully end game equipped, can do TOMM in your sleep and TIC just for laughs. The rest of us without the cash or time to have 10 mythic mounts, companions and collars, it is a different story altogether. My best character is iLVL 37k with the changes and I spend more time dead in areas that I used to breeze though than I care to admit.johnnystranger#5900 said:I just would love to see a comment from all the people spinning this as an improvement in gameplay . Even if you do manage to kill enough stuff the loot is still garbage, and although they said they would change it eventually, I don't want to be their lab rat. They rushed it and it shows, gonna do my daily keys for a bit, but if I find a new game I'm outta here!11 -

I had close to 95k on all def stats...how am i supposed to balance, im under 40% deflect from 95k5 -
I would suggest a little tweak for helping ppl atm. Fully upgraded mythic companions should have 1000 Combined rating instead 750. In that way ppl will get 2500 bonus stats for 10 fully upgraded companions not much but it will help to balance2

I'm sorry but how exactly does this help newish players? I get it that you want to increase the iLVL for end game players, and that is good for them I guess. Honestly thought I would just be happy if I could just take my alts through Shalador without ending up on my back 90% of the time.bgrozni said:I would suggest a little tweak for helping ppl atm. I'm not sure how to respond on that... i was just saying to tweak base value of combined rating of companions...Now i'm sure, i'm on wrong post...TBH i didn't even tried to to "fix" my alts even till yesterday i had HAMSTER arbiter and warlock i'm focused all my sources on main toon because bad tank is bad news...shrugmythdemeanour said:

No worries m8, and the OP was asking for feedback. I was just stating the fact that total end game builds seem to have the least problems with this patch. My alliance high level members are loving it actually, but then again they are all end game and run T3 hunts on the regular. I like my alts and they give the game more variety for me and as of now they are all in a very bad place; nigh on impossible to make leeway with out insane amounts of patience.bgrozni said:

If your idea of increasing the iLVL of mythic works well for those that have them then great, but if they don't focus on keeping players playing, then it will be a very empty world full of only whales was my point. But your post is valid too.1 -
I personally find the new system more confusing than the old one. Especially the caps and stuff

I have no plans to leave but have defiantly noticed the scaling is not kind to low level players at all. The devs should be worried more about the casuals and new players more since that is where the game will survive on. Your game will die FAST if low level players can barely complete pve content. Combat was fun before the patch now it is chore13

I don't think there will be a rollback, even if they wanted to, which they've given no indication of, or addressing how people feel about the changes, or its even a problem.

It would be too late now IMO.
The first day would have been fine, but after that we are struck with these changes, for good or evil.

Hi Devs. I am one of your casual players, I like to play solo, I don't like to be rushed and I take my time. I'm the guy who explores every inch of your beautiful maps, I find and read all your lore, I seek out all those scrying orbs, I find hidden places that someone has taken the trouble to create. Today I stopped playing. I can't go anywhere or do anything.
When you created this game you knew who the player base were. There's the casuals, the roleplayers, the end gamers and the PvPers. For some reason you excluded a great proportion of you player base with these changes. I do not feel welcome in your game anymore.16 -
Noticed that upgrading comps makes you weaker now too. Get 2.5% on upgrade to mythic. Can slot 5, so gain 12.5%. Lose .4%-.5% on each stat though due to TIL going up. So if do all 10 companions, lose 5% on defense even if you upgraded some that specifically upgrade defense. Don't raise TIL, even if it looks like your making progress, it actually hurts more. Same with collars, remove them and gain 2% on everything. Remove mount bonus, again, gain % across board.3
-
Few of the things I would like to say to the devs would get through the filter.
They keep breaking things instead of fixing them, and as usual the ways to take advantage are exploits like removing gear and bonuses or having the FOTM companion or deciphering how a 50% increase is actually a 25% increase or...
I'm tired of this blatant incompetence, disregard for players and always making this game more like a job than fun.

As a new player whose best character barely reaches 10k Item level....it is not possible for me to progress along any of my quest lines, any campaigns or even try revisiting earlier areas to try and gain more levels. I tried starting a new character and while a little more challenging initially I finally hit a wall in Blacklake.
Even tactical changes and using terrain does not keep one from being surrounded, and overwhelmed by mobs and missile hurlers and archers. I suppose for those that lean towards constant group play everything is hunky dory albet a little slower.
Its the solo player that is getting screwed over. Apparently the devs only care about group play and those that buy their god like characters and mythic mounts.
They seem to not realize that HAMSTER like this sucks the fun out of a game and if the game trades frustration for fun....players will leave, not be inclined to make purchases.
As far as the pc version goes until the game is playable in a fun manner...I will not be playing7 -
I'm guessing that's from their genius move of splitting stat sources?stark760 said:https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/802028051630260264/802030396325232700/20210121231914_1.jpg?width=1288&height=676

Ummm, if they care about money, this is NOT going to do anything for their wallets. Players are leaving, even the P2W players.... Fact. I am a P2W and have been since Mod 14, as was a lot of my guild.. now, Not one of us is even considering paying a dime into this mess, nor even playing it. Once they see that the money has all but disappeared ... things will change. I give it a few months... and either the game will end due to lack of funds.... or they will make fix it so that we will WANT to invest.2

No, it is actually TOO EASY as observed by a ton of nonendplayers who stood high and mighty on the forums falsely thinking how they've managed to avert all negativity by telling everyone to "shutup". That is why you can't see it, you're just too advanced for it. Too smart.auron#6793 said:I personally find the new system more confusing than the old one. Especially the caps and stuff
The old system was simple to read and understand but this is like swahili to me.
Joke aside, in no way is the new system easier for the players. In no way is the new system friendlier to the players.
System is friendly only to the Shop and will continue to get even friendlier with the Shop. 1000 AD = 1 ZEN at the very least.True NeutralLeft the Game due to heavy Damage Control & Missing Spanish Language2 -
There are many different views when it comes to this new system. I'm an end game player with the resources to build and have been successful with my main. He's completed tomm again since the rework but is still reaching for IL for base damage to get more outta him.
Now when it comes to lower toons I'm gonna be honest here. My son has an account with a lower IL TR he plays. Before the changes he could not survive in path of the fallen campaign. We paired up to open the memorys, once open, he could complete them by running for his life and letting Xuna kill the enemies. Now in the new system I worked with him, we took off all his enchantments(and left them off) and made a few adjustments using ONLY what he had available to him. No purchases from zen or the AH. We put his stats somewhat in line with what was available and headed back to avernus. Once scaled up to the content in IL he's able to kill mobs! He can now do memorys without a summoned pet as well!
Yes it requires some creative combat but works good! For him he'll grab aggro and as soon as the mob reaches him he will roll through them to the other side, turn around, and attack! If he doesn't do that roll through the mod will surround him and kill him quickly. But that roll made ALL the difference for him once his stats were adjusted!0 -
Now you don't say what his item level is, and well do do Path of the Fallen means at least level 80 so his gear is far better than what toons less than 80 have even available. Avernus too need to be level 80 ....I wish I could survive long enough to get to level 30. I do next to no damage and whether or not the mob has CA I die in 1 hit. Plain and simple the game has lost its fun quality.Bet his iL is > 10K. The question is he playing solo. Not all of us have a plethora of "friends" nor wish to group up when we play as that is not fun for us.reg1981 said:There are many different views when it comes to this new system. I appreciate the story from @reg1981. We need these stories - they're helpful. The most important insight for me is the continuation of disrobing to win (D2W!), noting the removal of enchants.
There are many seemingly nonsensical things in rpg gaming that we have come to accept. For instance, the fact that an advanced character in one zone could steamroll a random monster group, but then step into the next zone, and herself get steamrolled. This is the difference between going from Blacklake District to Avernus, or if I may, the surface in Hyrule into dungeon 9 in the Legend of Zelda. We accept this as gamers.
But one thing that has almost always remained the same over 4 decades of rpg is that the better your weapon, the stronger you are, and in most cases, if you take your gear off, you die.
This sums up the disorientation many are expressing right now. Disrobing should not make you stronger, and fighting with a beginning level weapon shouldn't be particularly effective in Avernus (yet it is).
In a game genre that is extremely forgiving of nonsense, this game and it's developers have somehow figured out how to break the players suspension of disbelief.
From purely a standpoint of awe, I applaud them.3 -
Although I hate to do this, I'm going to direct copy/paste my response from another thread, because it relevant to this topic:
I miss the casual friendly and easy game this used to be. I don't like to struggle and prefer things to be as easy as possible when I'm trying to have fun. I'm 54k to makes things faster and easier not slower and harder. It's like some kind of bizarro world where everything is opposite. I've been on the bench for a couple years already waiting for them to fix the game. I've even worn a spot in it. It's comfy. PE feels like home. I'll stay there and watch the fireworks.
The last few years the designers have been focusing on end game players and listening to the few on the forums that scream for harder content. There has been little to no new content for new or casual players. Dungeons are a secondary thought now and all other content takes priority. Harder content has always been available to everyone. All you had to do was run naked with weapons only. Was hard and fun at the same time.
Maybe in the future the lead designer will decide to focus on dungeon and dragons instead of hunts and heroics. Maybe he will turn the dial back on the difficulty level and make this game new player/casual player friendly again or maybe we will have a mod that is nothing but new dungeons. Maybe the new dungeon will drop to 30k item level and give new players or casual players something new that's fun to play.
I'm 54k. I want to smash the **** out of everything. I don't want to struggle. EVER.
I guess I'll just continue to hang out in PE and complain with the rest.4 -
His item level is 28,667 at the moment and he really shouldn't be in the area he is. He's not progressed enough with previous zones/boons. But we wanted to try it.flyball#6248 said:
