Last time I closed neverwinter I got a blue screen of death. can't screenshot it or anything because it won't let me do anything with my computer when it happens. can't file any kind of crash report or anything in this state either.

looks like a blue screen with a white sad face emoji and the text: "your PC ran into a problem an needs to restart as soon as we are finished collecting some error info."

I have not been able to get in since 1/21/2020. Worked great before that.

As above. Gets stuck on patching 2 files just before the character screen (launcher patching is OK).
Haven't been able to play since new Mod came out.

    Other people with same problem

    Hi 10e0e8, 10e0fe, 10e135 ... (the ending always changes).

And clicking restart Neverwinter in the cryptic crash window shows:

ERROR: Unrecognized command "(null)" (did you mean "-(null)"?) Line: utils\cmdparse.c(2802)

    Dxdiag: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Z-_4Vf50c0eFq7-wph_kNb8Xo64Y87WC

OS is Win7, Intel Core i5-3317U CPU @ 1.70GHz, Intel HD Graphics 4000

It is not a strong machine I always played the game perfectly before the update, this error was already present on the first day of the launch of the Infernal Descent module on the test server.

Gets stuck between pressing 'play' and getting to the character screen. It says 'patching 2 files' and then just stays there, I tried leaving it overnight but no luck.

Drivers have been updated to include the newest ones, as per customer service suggestion.

    OS win10

Graphics card Nvidia 660m and Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

Found this in the debug log.
Not sure if it helps or not.

For those who had the same issue as me whereby you get stuck while "Patching 2 files.....", try the following. It works for me so hopefully works for you too.

At your neverwinter login screen, before you click PLAY, click "Options" at the top of the window, then under "Patching" select "Force Verify" instead of "On-demand Patching". Click "Save" and then PLAY. It will verify the files and patching will kick in once again. After patching is completed, you should be able to play as per normal.

I had already tried a force verify without un-ticking on demand patching. That didn't work.
However, a force verify and unticking demand patching works.

    Thanks for the tip!

Submitting any in-game bug report since Mod18 has crashed the client for me, 100% of the time and close to 10 reports in quantity. And although not crashes I have also had unexpected log outs when transferring zones or instance or when attempting to go to Character Select.

I got a warning popup that my DxDiag info is too long to post all of it here by close to 65000 characters. I don't know how or where to post the full file.

I noticed the crashes happen whenever I try to report an item in Help section. It happened twice yesterday, when I tried to report a bug from an item.

I believe there's an issue with the shader cache. When I reset it, my problems go away (temporarily). So far there are 2 things that cause low FPS (sudden drop): CoDG elevator when mobs spawn, inspecting another player.

When I clear the shader cache I can get past the first round of mobs spawning in the CoDG elevator, but then the rest of the ride down dips to 1FPS each time. If I don't clear it out, then I get 1FPS EVERY time. The same results while inspecting another player occur, but random on how badly I'm effected.

This issue did not start until Mod 18, and no other changes to my computer happened before that. After noticing the problems, I tried a clean install of the latest drivers and the game (using CCleaner to make sure no registry files were left before new install).

Here are my basic system specs (contact me if you need more...not posting public):

    Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_ldr_escrow.200102-1707)

    Processor: AMD FX-8320E
    Memory: 16384MB RAM
    Available OS Memory: 16332MB RAM
Page File: 4386MB used, 28276MB available

Card name: AMD Radeon (TM) R7 370 Series
    Display Memory: 4095 MB
    Dedicated Memory: 3072 MB
    Shared Memory: 1023 MB
