as for Bards, 3 paragon tree would be, 1. Dirge for fear and funeral songs, and defense buffs. 2, Poet for daul-wield and speed buffer. 3rd for Troubadour aka "Singing Knight", dps buffer.
Troubadour can wear chain-plate armors if it reach final paragon skill.
We should bring the slayer class to Neverwinter as either a branch of the great weapon fighter or its own class. We should also have weapon specialization ie able to use a full blade instead of just a great sword aslong as you specialize in it
I'm still hoping for a Monk maybe Psionic as it's not something we've seen yet. The Kalashtar for example were based off a Psionic People in Eberron Campaign that descended from Human Monks. Still they did from time to time train non Human's also in their ways...
Still it be nice regardless to even see a new Race introduced if not a new Class at some point. Adding a new Race is likely a lot easier than a whole new class as well.
If you look at armor types the odds are strong they will wear cloth type armor to bring more balance between armor professions. Right now there are 2 plate class (OP,GF) 2 mail class (DC, GWF) and 3 leather class (TR,HR,SW) but only 1 cloth class - CW.
To me bards are like TR, so it would make sense they'd wear leather armor. Druids and monks, however, would be a better candidate for cloth armor. So based on that logic - druid or monk would make the most sense as the next class.
I'd love to see Palemaster brought in...(as in a new wizard option that could be focused on necromancy for one paragon path and maybe something else...) Course, having true classes from D&D in general would be great instead of the currents...
I have a grump! Everytime I plug-in my dev suggestion character class Duelist Avenger, I get someone else comment about "Joat" Bard (Joat=Jack-of-all-trades)....there too different character classes! The Duelist Avenger is a Van Helsing/Zorro character (Fighterman/Rogue) while the "Jack-of-all-trades" Bard is a Fighterman/Rogue/Magic User type of character.
In Neverwinter Nights, we learn that while Boddyknock Glinckle was a Sorcerer, he was an acception among the citizens of Lantan because most Gnomes were Artificers by profession. Building Golems and wonderous mechanical gadgets was what set Gnomes apart from the other bigger and stupider peoples.
While Gnomes may be gone and forgotten thanks to the Spellplague, the Artificer class should still be added. An Artificer's role is primarily that of a Summoner. You can craft parts from all existing professions to assemble and later summon in battle specific types of Golem and gadgetry. Some Golem heal. Some Golem fight. Some gadgets buff team-mates. Some gadgets debuff enemies.
For the Artificer, their general attitude is: "Bah! Forget "magic"! Science is the future!"
Come on guys! Let all of your Steampunk fantasies take shape!
Besides, I want a steam-powered mechanical horse mount...

I didn't want to resurrect an old thread, although there have been a few, but along with the consideration for a new class perhaps there should be some consideration for a way to change a character’s class as well.
Something akin to a "class change token".
For a lot of players like me we have our character slots full of different characters of all races, classes and serving different purposes…
For as long as I have been playing the game players have been encouraged to purchase character slots... Why purchase slots if players aren't going to use them?
Once we've used that character they accumulate in game "Bound to Character" items like mounts, companions, enchantments and currency that are not transferable. Particularly if the player has purchased VIP...
With the introduction of a new player class many of us are going to have to delete a character and at least in my case a lot of those characters have a long list of Character Bound – non transferable items, companions, mounts, etc. that will just be lost, deleted, along with any character we delete to roll a new character class.
I recognize the downside where all the gear, powers and feats for a character would have to be reset but on the upside the guildmarks, retraining tokens, companion training tokens, refinement points, ardent coins, celestial coins companions, mounts and black ice, voinblod, as well as all of the other non transferable items like seals, campaign currency, lockbox currency, PVP currency, event currencies as well as a lot of “other currencies” don’t just ‘POOF’ when a player deletes a character to roll a new character.
Optimally in my opinion it would be best if we could just replace a current character of a certain class with a new character of a different class and all of the items collected during the months/years of game play for that character gets transferred to the new character, except for armor and weapons of course those can either be salvaged or converted to refinement points.
But if for whatever reason someone believes that to be too difficult, I would at least hope someone figures out a way to provide players with the ability to temporarily “bank” those items, currencies, companions and mounts to be transferred to a new character... particularly as some are speculating there may be a new class of character introduced in the near future.

I propose that mod 15 introduce the Social Justice Warrior class, which will not be bound by cisgendered clothing choices or prevailing beauty ideals. Its basic at-wills will be Check Privilege, which will remove class and race-specific buffs from opponents, and Trigger Warning, which will debuff opponents and inflict a minor stun while they roll their eyes. Encounters should include Stop Micro-Agression, which interrupts opponents' attacks and debuffs their Power; Safe Space, providing temporary immunity from damage and control; and Hey hey! Ho Ho! which will push opponents back and buff the user with stacks of Occupy. Max stacks of Occupy procs My Party's Lives Matter, a buff to party defense, deflect and temp HP. Dailies would include Content Warning, which would poison and stun opponents while doing necrotic damage; and Relive Trauma, which makes the user immune from all control effects while the player recounts the worst thing that ever happened to him/her, increases stacks of Occupy and does AoE Mind damage. Class aspects would include Correctness, providing stacks of increased Control to the party; and Intersectionality, providing control resistance and combat advantage to the entire party. Other abilities to include Speech Codes, preventing opponents from using control effects and extending allies' control powers; and Detoxify Masculinity, debuffing opponents' Power and causing Partial Paralysis.
IDK, lately I have been getting XP and companion XP boosters from my 70+ leveling up rewards. Never got these from that before. Me thinks that could be an indication of a new class and they are prepping the gearing up for existing players.

Daughter is in college and taking a "gender studies" (required) class. You don't know how real your post actually is. She just got back from the Student Life expo and mentioned the shooting club and I encouraged her to join, if nothing else, to counter balance the other stuff. She is actually considering it.
IDK, personally I think us magic users have been short changed with NW as neither the CW nor the SW are true mages, one is a elementalist and the other a warlock. I want poly-morph self, I want a REAL fireball, for HAMSTER sakes I want wands. Pull out the D&D PHB and make us a magic user already!
I think Melee has plenty of classes, and Magic is next in line with the need of at least 1 more class to bring it closer to being even with Melee. But lets face it when it comes in the way of Ranged...you area really limited to just being a Ranger. Which I enjoy a Ranger and see how that is one of only a small number of classes that could be classified as a Ranged. But you could look into adding a class that uses say Javelins as its primary weapon which is a ranged thrown weapon. Also looking at adding a new ranged class like a "Clockwork Rifleman" which would be a soldier like character with a rifle that could fire a limited number of rounds and reloads.
I want a monk, ever since reading RA salvatores 3 monks, it would be AWESOME. And a monk with psionic abilities in this game is my dream (buff/debuff tank dps), however the game needs more healer buffer classes. SO.... a druid who can have two roles healer on one and caster on the other. Caster role would have nature spells and be able to polymorph (IMHO) and the healer druid would be able to heal/buff/debuff perhaps heal by taking team damage onto him/herself and drawing energy from the earth
Aside from that... i most believe that prestige classes are most needed to bring NW to new heights. give 20 new powers and such, another paragon tree
TR to Assassin increased deadliness when not targeted and/or behind target SW to Necromancer ability to summon the dead (even players) to fight for a few minutes GWF to barbarian GF to dragon knight GF in serious need of upgrading anyway CW to....... sorcerer/summoner? make CW have more powers other than just the elements HR to Arcane Archer ???? Add some arcane kick to this class DC to ...... ? something along the lines of a divine chosen one OP to ..... ?

Now that you mention it, whenever they do the rework they can add those aspects. You should feel in fear when you see the GF as it creates space, that rework of adding in better animations and upgrades is what the class NEEDS.
Whatever they come up with, if it is not pouring out DPS or buffing DPS then they will be shunned in end game. Left out in the cold (pun intended) like CWs currently are.
I voted "other". I'm sure this may have been mentioned in the 26 pages of this thread, but would like multi-classing. This is wishful thinking on my part and probably impossible from the game engine, however, you asked for my vote and there it is. Thats not exactly a new class but would offer much more character customizing and probably generate alot more revenue on load outs. It would be a win all around on that change.
Druid,Monk, maybe a staff class with some karate/etc and necromancer would be great in my mind though Warlock is close to Necromancer.
The necromancer i'm talking about is a prestige "upgrade" for the SW. Similar just with more options. Like cast a daily that raises up to 10 skeletons and zombies to fight for you.....etc.

A lot of the current character classes could use an "upgrade" similar to the one you suggested for SW.
Something like:
Guardian Fighters upgraded to "Noble Knights" still have the same class restrictions when it comes to armor and weapons but perhaps they have three available daily powers instead of just two, four encounter powers instead of three and perhaps due to their advanced proficiency their cool down timers are decreased, or they are able to reassign their at will and encounter powers on the fly - even in combat.
Oathbound Paladins upgraded to "Blessed", again still having the same class restrictions for gear, but in addition to additional daily and four encounter powers, any undead within 30 feet of their character takes minor to moderate damage just for being in the blessed paladin's presence.
Trickster Rogues upgraded to "Shadow Master", ditto same gear class restrictions but in addition to three daily and four encounter powers, any trap within 5' of them is automatically disarmed - they stay stealth longer, their backstab damage is greater or whatever (I don't play a TR).
These are just a few possibilities off of the top of my head and I recognize it will probably be a programming nightmare to upgrade existing classes.
I also recognize it is likely to disappoint anyone hoping for an entirely new, currently non existing character class... but by the same token anyone who has and likes playing the character class they already have can have something to look forward to also, other than an entirely new class they may - or may not enjoy playing as much as the character(s) they already have.

You realize this will be totally OP, and every other class will whine about how OP it is, and how the SJW needs to be nerfed immediately, right?
That said - can't wait to play one! A dragonborn SJW named Pat!

Does it have to be a Social Justice "Warrior"?
