You can. It allows changing everything you'd change with a respec. Not race or initial stat roll.

Actually, what happens if you switch loadouts while in a queue, searching for a group? Does it continue with the role you had when you clicked "queue"? Does it crash the queue system ?

I checked the campaign window and the last task was not completed (it is on my original loadout). I had gotten back the 50 Linus, but now need the boon books to properly complete the task again.

To piggyback a question onto this bug report, has unlocking new boons been tested against characters with multiple loadouts? I'd expect that you complete the boon unlocking task once and then assign it for each available loadout, but now I'm a little concerned.

Well I certainly hope it doesn't crash the queue system.
There was a lot of discussion on this point internally and in the end we decided not to restrict changing loadouts after queuing.
Reasons for this were that we wanted players to be able to queue, but to be able to switch to a solo/PvP build while they waited. Also, a player can change their loadout at the first campfire upon entering the dungeon anyway. And if someone was truly determined, they could just change with a respec after queuing.

Oh dear, yeah that's gunna get expensive fast. It would be even better to include it in the loadout, but I doubt they can do that.
can we have a tab where loadouts gear can be stored without taking up precious bag slots?

Honestly I think that loadouts are going the wrong way.... Having the chance to change paths, feats and boons completely kills the concept of having builds and balancing them which is a large part of the fun in the game... If my HR enters a dungeon as a trapper, how can it become a combat ranger within the same dungeon? If my SW enters as a Fury, how can it become a healer moving to Temptation within the same dungeon? What we needed was a way to swap gear, enchants and powers on the tray with one click to remove all the hassle we have today...

I have always carried multiple armor sets and weapon sets each with different enchantmentd. Load outs will be nice for me
But since we can't swap gear mid fight anymore, and we need to be in a camp fire or safe area (not just out of combat mode)... load outs have no functional use for me.

one of the best updates for support class. will enable progressing solo content and adjust yourself to PVE /PVP
overall there is a problem of inventory. we need additional tab for bound equipment (armor, artifacts, belt items) if will have option for different builds, we need the equip/enchants/artifacts to support it.
Loadouts is the first step to a perfect system. Crypric may eventually give us that perfect system, but not until we all go and spend more AD on more equipment/enchants to make the first step more workable...lol.

The proposed changes will give huge margin for exploits and broken gameplay. As a side effect of a QoL feature acommunity asked for,the whole paragon design of NW goes down the drain. Basically since in dungeon run ,campfires are everywhere ,we will not have toons that loadout gear and featues (as asked) but hybrid toons that essentially will be two or more paragon and tree feats at once.
NW will have Gf Conqs/tacts in one toon, AC Virt/Do in another toon .
The change is huge and i think it was not well thought.I mean the consequences.
please in loadouts include only the powers that the toon has unlocked as of live as of now.You are opening pandora's box...
Exclude paragon path ,and tree path from loadouts please.
Only features,powers ,Sh boons and gear should be included in loadouts.nothing more.

As a GWF I feel kind of robbed. There is no alternate Paragon path for me to switch to. I just wanted to be able to swap some enchants around.
NW had and has huge issues from mod6 and the level cap raise.All these years these issues were tackled but game is still scarred.
I consider the loadout change ,in the danger range of mod6 changes.
Trivialize the content? 5 Cw parties switching in campfires to SS buffers before boss fights .Check
Obscure the class roles? In plain sight.Check
Glitch/exploit? who ever thinks that this feature will not get attention from the questionable morals players we have ,is delusional at best. example .We all had told all these years that a CW buffer cannot exceed 200-250% effectiveness ,yet it was recently revealed that it can reach as high as 416,2%.Yet it was a secret.When there is will there will be a way.People will find out how to change loadout in midfight Exploits?Check
Widen the gap between these that have and not have. BiS players that have rank12s lurking around,will not invest in alt toons anymore but in loadouts. With the ability of one toon do it all,you will see more and more LFG requests for Tact/Conq Gf 4k ,or SS rene/Thaum 4k or AC/DO Dc please 4k ". SOMI situation will be a walk in the park compared to the beast that will be unleashed with the loadout feature Widen the gap?Check

Some of us already swap gear, paragon, etc, purely for the sake of speeding up runs. Not having loadouts isn't preventing that from happening, it isn't changing anything for us, it is simply making it more convenient and quite frankly I see nothing wrong with this.

@hypervoreian that isn't a CW bug it is a bug with an item (which I am not using), which can in all likelyhood be abused by any class. It is just that debuff CWs seem to be the only ones using it currently. (Well, I also know 1 GF who uses it but nobody else.) The people showing screenshots etc are showing very carefully selected screenshots when the debuff from the item is present. Ask them for the normal effectiveness of the run and not the effectiveness when that specific debuff is present and it will be more or less what you expect.
That specific item was bug reported over a year ago and it has yet to be fixed. For some unknown reason a small group of players have been trying to create an air of mystery around MoF and deflect attention from the item, probably to prevent it from being fixed.
True or not it makes little difference in the end.My opinion at least.Bugs always were in the game ,broken gear,broken companion powers,companion bonuses that work in different ways than intended,companions that give additional stat benefits,companion debuffs that do not respect tooltip and the list goes on and on....Bugs if left unchecked can grow from a tiny puppie cub to a mighty drake and destroy the game.Bugs are so noumerous in the game that if a song was made mentioning them,it would require the best Bard to sing it
To the point ,i don't know all classes well i play them all but i have limited knowledge for most of them.What happens or not with CW can happen with any class.And with loadouts any class can exploit that possibility by changing loadout when it is needed. What i mean is : a certain loadout might be not so advantagenous for normal play but it can be valuable when other classes or same class swap to a certain combo and use certain spesific powers that interact with each other,in a bronen not WAi way.
We dont need this we did not asked for this.
Also there is the roleplay aspect and before the WoW neeerdds jump in this is a game that is based in DnD.
So you create a char,you level it you choose lets say to be a certain paragon.Let's say you are a tact IV GF.And you build your toon for years around the same path.And suudenly now you can be a SM conq at a campfire?Or Prot Sm?Does it make sense?

This is not a thread about exploits in general.this thread is about a broken feature that with out too much thought will be introduced to the game.Might take some time and introduce it to M12 instead?
I think that on the whole, loadouts will be a positive quality of life change, comparable to similar features in other MMOs.
My one concern is what role you will be considered for grouping: Any role you have a loadout for? Only the role you are in when you click 'Queue'? The role you are in the moment the queue 'pops'?
One player might have better gear and more experience in one role, and prefer that role for group play, while having another role intended for soloing. Another player might be happy playing either role, if it means a shorter wait for a group. Players should be able to select their desired role in the queue menu.
A bonus would be if the selected role would appear for other players in your queue group. Even though role requirements are ignored for private queues, it could still be useful to see at a glance if you have enough potential healers, when gathering for a Tiamat group, for example.

Currently, if you use some feat trees or even just specific builds, you cannot queue publicly, since the queue system cannot properly detect your role. This change would also allow the troll community more potential troll features, but nothing is going to stop them anyways, so please overlook the idiocy of trolls on this issue. It is far more troll to force a Temptation Warlock into a DPS slot, and a DPS GF into a tank slot.
